Takata recall - I received a notification from VW April 2016 regarding the safety recall of the takata sdi dirver frontal airbag. NHTSA:16V078. To date, this has not been rectified by
"takata recall" the recall was posted last year in Feb 2016 and no remedy is available. What is VW waiting for" someone to die? what will it take to get this problem fixed" in the meantime I am driving around in with a potentially life threatening airbag system that was supposed to keep me safe.
Takata recall - Volkswagen Passat 2012 - defective airbag this airbag recall defect has been outstanding almost a year, and 11 people have died from this in other cars, and Volkswagen will not fix it or offer a rental or loaner car, nor will they offer a buy back to me to help me avoid the risk of death which could be caused by this defective recalled airbag. I would like to have Volkswagen pay me back the money I spent on this car, since they have not fixed it and do not offer any alternative transportation, and my resell value of this car is also reduced because no one wants to buy a car with a recall that can kill you that has not been fixed. I called VW corporate for help, and they told me they could do nothing, and that I should stay in the vehicle and keep driving it despite the risk of death. I want this fixed, or a loaner/rental car to be provided to me at no cost by Volkswagen so I don't have to drive risking death, or I want Volkswagen to buy back my car for full price because this is all their fault!
Takata recall no remedy has been provided to me and this is unacceptable, not to mention the value of my car being negatively impacted due to poor engineering.

Takata recall. I received a notice in the mail almost a year ago and the company has not sent me any information about fixing this dangerous airbag issue. I stopped by a local dealer and they said they are not aware of any fix coming soon. I think a year seems like a very long time to be driving one of their products that has a known issue which could endanger one's life. What do you think?
