- 2011 Kia Forte Koup: entertainment & handsfree system dead (1 complaints) Chronic electrical issues in this 2011 Kia Forte Koup SX model have lately lead up to the entire entertainment AND HANDS FREE system dash module just dying for no apparent reason or cause. CD, Radio, MP3, USB - the whole unit refuses to power up at all despite checking the fuses and basic wiring etc etc. The dash trim lights up and still looks nice at night (forehead slap here) Only fix seems to be going to a wrecking yard and swapping in a completely different one from same model year then hope it works ... read more »

NOTE This is a known issue to KIA that jussssst happened conveniently after the warranty ran out. You guessed it, NO RECALL. Doubly frustrating is when you gently monkey with the twist-on foglight switch the dang foglights flicker on but then they go out again. No even duck tape wouldn't work - I wish Not a big deal you say? Try living in a CDN skihill town ... read more »
- 2011 Kia Forte Koup: interior silver trim peels off and is razor sharp (1 complaints) 2011 KIA Forte Koup SX Interior metal finish trim is actually made of thin metal and it started peeling back from interior door unlock handles, off the AC unit control dial and along the centre console cup holder areas. In other words right in the areas where you put your fingers most often. WHAT were they thinking? At first, each shallow cut was getting annoying and a sign of poor workmanship /design quality in what was supposed to be a luxury model. Trim being worn off or down yes but not a health sliceydicey ... read more »

- 2023 Toyota Corolla Cross: in subzero temperature computer mulfunctions (1 complaints) It looks like the car was build for southern states not for Canadian winters. - 2024 Honda Accord Hybrid: front passenger seat too low (1 complaints) I agree with earlier submitted complaints that the front passenger seat is too low and has no mechanism for adjusting the height (in a luxury trim, no less). It is hard to believe that Honda would produce a vehicle with such a low seat. It may or may not present a risk for serious injury in the event of air bag deployment - I don't know. However, it is a major inconvenience, particularly for older individuals when exiting the vehicle. I did not think to have someone ride in the passenger seat while I test-drove ... read more »
- 2013 Chevrolet Camaro: power steering quit working (2 complaints) This could have cost my son's and my life. As we know, most people don't pay attention while driving because they're distracted with other things (cell phones, etc). For us who have high performance cars, we are much more attentive (and I teach this to my family to do so as well). I would consider myself to be rather strong (physically), but if this happened to another individual, who wasn't as strong and couldn't turn, they could have simply totaled the car, or at worst, lost their life. This is an obvious ... read more »

- 2016 Ford Edge: coolant intrusion #1 cylinder (2 complaints) I had just left Publix grocery store and got on the road in rush hour traffic. I pressed the accelerator and the car stalled then white smoke started coming out and the engine started making a noise. Fortunately, I was able to pull off to a side road maybe 1/4 of a mile from the store. The oil was gone, the coolant was gone, and the check engine light never came on. Had the car towed to my regular repair shop. 2 days later, I was sent pictures of the engine block. The mechanic told me about the Ecoboost class ... read more »
- 2012 Chevrolet Equinox: water in the orifice that froze (1 complaints) I purchased my Equinox 2 years ago. When I bought it, I also got an extended warranty, as I sometimes need to travel to save an animal. I am also on a very fixed income due to disabilities. On December 18, 2024 my equinox started acting really strange, and the check engine light came on. I had a mechanic friend hook up an OBD to get the code so I could go back to the dealers with it. The mechanic said that the code was for the timing chain. So I called the dealers and got the vehicle in right away. By the time I ... read more »
- 2018 Ram 2500: ABS warning light and stability control warning (7 complaints) Very annoying that the Hydraulic Control Unit issue causing ABS and ESC systems to fail in my Ram 2018 2500 has been a known problem with Ram for a long time now. I had to pay $1000 out of pocket to get this issue "fixed" in Oct of 2022, only to have the same issue start again in June of 2024. I will wait for the RECALL notice to come out to get it fixed free of charge and look to see about getting reimbursed for the same issue in ... read more »

- 2023 Ford Escape: electric miles 32% less after 1 year (1 complaints) Dealer has submitted claim to Ford , but the claim is unusual due to the age and low mileage of the car. I believe it is a defective battery because I am getting 32% less electrical miles than the 37 electric miles shown on the window sticker. I had been getting 37 and sometimes more in the first 6 months I have had the ... read more »

When the car was purchased Nov 2022 the Lithium Battery would charge to 22 to 25 miles on electric. 25 miles Is the advertised electric range. In the past 2 years the Li battery degraded to reporting 100%, maximum 18 miles and today 100% at maximum 14 miles.
