- 2017 GMC Acadia: "shift to park" alert (32 complaints) Car does not recognize it is in park when it clearly is. I have gone through so many batteries because the car just won't turn off. This is a known defect of the car but no recall! This is ridiculous! read more »
- 2020 Nissan Kicks: transmission failure (2 complaints) There was a recall on the 2019 Nissan Kicks CVT Transmission. But not on the 2020. My car is a 2020. After I bought it, I found out that it already needed a transmission. Now the transmission has failed, a few months later. Neither the original warranty or the extended warranty will cover the cost, which is $7100 (parts and service). Calling the Nissan Consumer Affairs number didn't do me any good. Mohamed said they can't help me, since there is no recall and it was not within the original warranty ... read more »
- 2011 Toyota RAV4: paint peeling (17 complaints) Toyota reimbursed me for the first fix but now 2025 1/4 off my roof has peeled and is staring on all the doors, I phoned Toyota Canada and was told the extended warranty has expired. She told me that the 10 year warranty started from the date the vehicle was licensed so in actuality they on gave me a 5 year Warranty because the vehicle’s warranty covered the paint for 5 years and all she could say was she was sorry, Toyota cheaper out on the warranty ,so they have had this issue for years so they decides to go ... read more »
- 2018 Honda CR-V: fuel injector failure (6 complaints) Less than six weeks ago (February 18th-ish), the dealership performed the recall work on the fuel pump. Sunday March 16th, the warning lights went crazy, so I took it right in Monday March 17th & they told me the fuel injectors were failing. When I asked if it could possibly be related to the recall work on the fuel pump, I was told, "No. They're different systems." by my service rep. Um, they're both part of the FUEL system and it seems awfully coincidental all of a sudden after they worked on the fuel pump ... read more »
- 2018 Cadillac CT6: hesitation, feels like it is slipping at any speed (1 complaints) This has been going on for at least 3 months, the transmission has hesitation and feels like it is slipping at any speed. I had just taken it into the dealers yesterday as this was the first appointment I could get, and I had called them in the middle of February. They told me that a flush may correct the problem at a cost of $700.00 or replace the torque converter at a cost of $5,800.00. Now remind you that this is a 2018 Cadillac CT6 with only 33,640 miles. I am the only driver and the only owner. Very ... read more »
- 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI: misfiring / rough idle (1 complaints) Engine is misfiring heavily while idling including on startup and occasionally while stopped at lights and in traffic. Because this issue is inconsistent, any diagnosis has taken 12 months and 3 different mechanics to troubleshoot. Over the 12 months, the spark plugs (2x), ignition coils, and purge valve have all been replaced and cylinders cleaned (scraped, not walnut blasted). The VW dealership initially pinned this after their diagnostics as a failing Low Pressure Fuel Pump (LPFP) which they replaced for ... read more »
- 2007 Ford Focus: transmission failure (3 complaints) I was riding on the assumption that this car would last me another 4-5 years. Unfortunately, it didn't. I would not buy a ford again. read more »
- 2007 Ford Focus: hvac control switch malfunction (1 complaints) The HVAC switch seemed to break and no longer turned the AC/heating to different vents. It was stuck on the window. read more »
- 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI: turbocharger failure (1 complaints) Wastegate actuator was sticking and caused failure of the turbocharge and an EPC code putting the vehicle into limp mode. The wastegate actuator is not sold as a separate component and requires replacement of the full turbo which was quoted initially at ~$2,400. The vehicle was past VW's extended turbocharger warranty, but fortunately was able to be covered under the PZEV warranty enforceable in Massachusetts. Unfortunately, the dealer I went to for service pretended as if the PZEV warranty didn't apply and ... read more »
- 2020 Subaru Forester: engine power dies on some tight left hand turns (1 complaints) During some left hand turns, engine power dies and you can't timely complete the turn in a busy intersection. After a several seconds, the engine power returns and YOU'RE safe! The engine never stops, just no gas pedal for a short while. It can be dangerous in a congested intersection. Of course at the dealer, they can't replicate the problem and can't fix ... read more »
- 2018 Honda Civic: check charging system warning light (1 complaints) “Check Charging System” warning popped up on dash. Warning is persistent and causes the stress of not knowing whether my car will die or system fail and cause an accident. I have attempted to diagnose and resolve issue, without success. Honda is responsible for failure of system. Recall should be ... read more »
- 2018 Ram 2500: ABS light and traction control lights come on (9 complaints) My biggest concern is the fact that this vehicle tows a 30 foot trailer with electric brakes. I have seen some posts that suggest the electric brake system will not work when the abs and tcs are disabled due to this defect, similar to how the cruise control does not work due to the ... read more »
- 2018 Ford Flex: no throttle response (1 complaints) No throttle response, sometimes, after turning a corner. Bought this 2018 Ford Flex Limited 3.5L twin turbo early 2019 with about 23,xxx miles. Seemed to be in great condition. Only problem is, it RANDOMLY, has NO THROTTLE RESPONSE, AT ALL, for a few seconds, after turning a corner, it just continues to IDLE for about 4-5 seconds, totally ignoring the foot feed. Then, it will rev up. Never know when it will do this, it is completely unpredictable. NO, I did NOT touch the brake pedal, at all. I can stab the gas ... read more »
- 2017 Lincoln MKC: cylinder 2 misfire code p0302, coolant intrusion (2 complaints) Just another saga with this car. Bought it in August of 24. Ive had it for 7 months and it has been in the shop for 3 months total. Haven't even made it to my complimentary oil change. Running tally of issues. First transmission, rear differential, and rear shocks, 3 days after I took delivery. Got it back and the alignment wasn't good and i heard a clink. Right side Tie rods replaced. Still not fixed. Front struts then it felt mostly better but not perfect. A month later, misfire and coolant intrusion. New ... read more »
- 2014 Kia Sorento: engine blown (23 complaints) The little old lady vehicle. Original owner, services done when needed. 55145 miles and the engine is failing. KIA says no warranty in effect. This is bullshit. Customer never got any notices or letters in the mail. This is not right!! Where is a woman, on fixed income going to get the money to fix it? Who has $15k just sitting around? Any help or advice would be ... read more »
- 2016 Ford Escape: coolant intrusion into engine (3 complaints) The car was purchased new by my mother in January 2016. She passed away in September of 2016 and I kept the car and continued the payments. When it was purchased, my mother had 0% down, 0% interest for 5 years with no trade in. The sticker price is what she paid/financed...$38,000.00! My mother was (financially comfortable as was I at the time(not well off) and to the average person, that is a very large purchase. This was supposed to be a last new car purchase for her/me and I never in a million years thought I'd ... read more »
- 2019 Ford Escape: engine clicking sound (1 complaints) The vehicle started making a loud clicking noise at 51,400 miles. Ford dealership said they found metal pieces in the engine after removing the timing cover. They said the engine needed to be replaced and that my warranty had expired 1 month earlier based on "time" not "miles". The car had been taken to the dealership at all recommended maintenance tasks and has a Carfax Gold Medal for maintenance. I asked "Big" Ford to review the case and pay for the full cost since it was still under the miles warranty but was 1 ... read more »

- 2020 Subaru Forester: the driver's window motor is underpowered (1 complaints) I live in Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes and cold winters. I've had 6 Subarus, two with window cranks and the other four Subarus with under-powered window motors, especially the driver's door. When there is snow, ice & cold and the window is way below normal power, its definitely a pain. The other windows are not used that much, but the driver's window motor power needs to be increased by ... read more »
- 2018 Honda Civic: loud buzzing sound coming from fuel latch door (1 complaints) Issue arose due to no action or fault of my own. Issue has persisted without resolve for over a year. I do not have the funds available to repair, nor should I be held to bear the cost of an issue born from poor and/or defective automotive parts installed by Honda. It is the sole responsibility of automobile manufacturer to insure the safety and effectiveness of its product. Honda bears the obligation of repairing/replacing defective, faulty, and/or error-prone parts. Under federal law, car manufacturers and auto ... read more »
