Takata recall we were notified about the recall on the airbag and instructed to not allow passengers to sit in the front passenger seat until the remedy has been done. The same notice proceeded to inform us that there is no remedy for this problem. So now it has been a year and there is still no remedy. Is there any incentive for them to actually ever fix this problem? if not, there should be.

Takata recall: The manufacturer has failed to remedy this safety recall for my vehicle in a timely manner. I called them over two months ago and they claim the part has not arrived yet.
The car displays hazard lights for the engine and safe road handling as though the roads are icy or slippery during the summer months in dry weather. The lights are on for weeks prior to shutting-off. Toyota failed to fix the recall on the airbags. The never notified of what could be a life risking hazard.

Takata recall, NHTSA recall no.16V-340. We were informed in February 2017 of this needed safety recall but have not been able to get the service done. All local Toyota dealerships we have contacted repeatedly since then claim they do not have these recall replacement parts available yet and they dont think they will have them until November 2017. We were also recently contacted about takata class action lawsuit that we can not even be part of because we havent had the recall service done which is required! we were told if the airbags malfunction it can be deadly and have not been able to use the front passenger seat since the notice was sent in February 2017. This is a huge inconvenience for our family! when will something be done about this delay"!" this problem needs to be resolved immediately!

According to takata, the propellant in these inflators may degrade after prolonged exposure to high absolute humidity and fluctuating high temperatures. Degraded propellant can cause inflator rupture during airbag deployment. In the event of an inflator rupture, metal fragments could pass through the airbag cushion material, striking the vehicle occupants, and result in serious injury or death.
