Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 Toyota Corolla. The contact stated that the manufacturer failed to provide the remedy and repair parts to the dealer within a reasonable time frame. The dealer (ray brandt Toyota, 2460 veterans blvd, kenner, la 70062, (504) 464-4500) stored the vehicle outside for over a year and indicated that they serviced the vehicle months later for NHTSA campaign numbers: 17V006000 (air bags) and 16V340000 (air bags). The contact was uncertain if both repairs were completed. In addition, the headlamp lenses were foggy, the fog lights had water intrusion, the rubber molding around all of the windows was dry rotted, and the dashboard had dents and an imprint that were unable to be removed. The dealer failed to remedy the additional failures. The manufacturer was notified and a case manager was assigned. The contact made numerous calls to the manufacturer, but had not received a resolution for over a year. The failure mileage was not available. Parts distribution disconnect.

I received the recall notice from Toyota. On October 9, Toyota, pharr, Texas location replaced the airbag on the passenger side. Your website states that if the airbag, deemed defective, were to deploy, would cause harm to the occupants of the car. Does this mean that if the airbag on the drivers side, is not defective, and thus, on impact, would not shoot deadly schrapnel onto the occupant"???? somehow, it seems that if the passenger side is defective, would not the drivers side airbag also be defective"

Takata recall. This complaint is regarding how long it is taking for a remedy for this recall to become available to me. Seriously it's been months and if the propellant has actually killed and injured people then I need to get my car fixed as soon as possible so I am not putting myself and my passengers at risk.

Takata recall - this is my 2nd official complaint against Toyota regarding my 2011 Toyota Corolla, and the takata airbag recall (passenger airbag). My vehicle has been at the dealership for about 1 year and 4 months now, and there is no remedy for my vehicle. I have met, in person, with the service manager at my local dealership (where my car is being kept), and he told me there is nothing he can do, I have contacted Toyota corporate office, and they assigned me with a case manager and the case manager denied helping me, I have called and complained to my attorney general's office of California and they explained there was nothing they could do, and this is my second time filing a vehicle safety complaint with the NHTSA and I have heard nothing back from you(NHTSA) either. This recall is a burden because when and if Toyota actually performs the recall remedy on my vehicle, the vehicle is going to need to have a complete overhaul (oil changed, battery replaced, fuel lines syphoned and replaced, filters (air, oil, and fuel) replaced, and the entire transmission and brake lines flushed and refilled in order for the vehicle to be back in operational condition. What do I do" what can I do" I have called and contacted everyone and no one will help me. Please help.

Takata recall - my car has been sitting at the dealership for 1 year and 3 months now, waiting for a repair. At what point will the government wake up and issue that these cars are lemons" my vehicle has not been repaired in a timely manor. It has been way too long. Toyota corporate will not work with me, in fact, they hung up on me twice already. The dealership keeps pointing fingers back at corporate to solve the issue. Corporate is telling the consumer that takata is to blame.... they simply do not care. This is unbelievable. Why isn't the government doing anything about this. There is a class action lawsuit brewing and if I must participate in it, then I will. However, why can't the government force this scheming company to replace the vehicles if not fixed in a timely manner" the California lemon law (where I live) I thought covered this... but the dealership and everyone else is not willing to work with it. They are all pointing fingers at each other and nothing is getting done. At what point do I straight up sue Toyota?

"takata recall" there was no problem with the vehicle. This solely involves the nature of the recall. The 16V340000 recall does not provide for recall of 2011 Corollas that were sold and registered in zone C. yet many owners live in the zone a area for part of the year typically for 4,5, or 6 months or more. If they did not change the registration to Florida for example the vehicle would not be recalled yet would have been subject to zone a conditions for part of the year. In my case it has been six months for the last four years and four months for one year. I cannot find out if my vehicle has a takata airbag and, if it does is it one with the defective inflator.

Takata recall vehicle has been sitting at dealership awaiting fix for over 2 months, and has had an open recall for almost 2 years. Owner has had multiple conversations with dealership, and there is no guaranteed time-frame for repairs. Owner is still paying monthly payments and insurance on vehicle, even though she is not currently in possession, nor able to drive the vehicle safely. Owner has also been notified that she is not able to resell the vehicle in it's current "defective" state, thus decreasing the value of the car over 2 years.
