The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving at 40 mph, he had missed a left turn and drove 300 ft off of a cliff and nose dived into an embankment. The contact hit his face on the steering wheel and was knocked unconscious. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. An ambulance was called and the contact was rushed to emergency room where he had an emergency surgery for a broken back. Police did arrive on the scene; however, the contact was unaware if a report was filed. Due to the failure, the vehicle was towed to tri lakes Ford(180 state hwy F &, 65, branson, mo 65616) where it was serviced and repaired without the contact's knowledge. The vehicle was returned to the contact once he left the hospital. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 27,500.
I was in the left turn lane waiting to turn when I was struck by another car at about 40 mph. His air bags were deployed but my airbags did not deploy. I was hit and had damage in the front center to the drivers side front clip, even my door was a little hard to open.
On 11/20/20 my Ram truck was hit on the right front corner and totaled. We were at a stop light and just started to complete a left hand turn on a city street when the other driver ran a red light, he was issued a citation for running a red light, and was "probably" speeding. We were in a 35mph zone. The air bags failed to deploy. I contacted Chrysler and this is part of their conclusion. "the conclusion of the investigation is that the rate of deceleration necessary to activate the air bag system was not present during this accident. A information regarding the air bag system may be found in your owner's manual. For additional facts, you may also want to visit NHTSA website: Https://www.NHTSA.gov/equipment/air-bags. in other words any time you are hit and don't have advance warning where you can take your foot off the accelerator the air bags will not deploy because you can't decelerate. If you don't see the accident about to happen, why would you take your foot off the accelerator and slow down??. this conclusion makes no sense and looks to be an easy out to try and avoid any perceived problem with their air bag deployment system. Truck air bags did not deploy under a side impact by an other pick up truck. This happen when making a complete stop indicated by a stop sign in the city street. The car was in drive waiting for trafic to clear to proceed crossing the street. When an accident happen just in front, and one of the cars involved crash on my truck. The impact move the truck toward the side walk and stoping at the curb.

Tla* the contact owned a 2019 Ram 1500 classic St quad cab. The contact stated that while driving at 62 mph and towing a camper trailer, the vehicle shut off while switching lanes without warning. As the vehicle shut off, the vehicle proceeded to drift towards the right of the highway and hit the highway shoulder. The vehicle then flipped over on its head and the camper flipped over on its left side. The front and passenger air bags did not deploy upon impact. Fellow motorist who witnessed the accident assisted the contact and broke the front passenger side glass and removed the contact and her father from the vehicle. The authorities arrived at the scene and the contact and the passenger were treated by the paramedics at the scene but did not go to the hospital. A police report was filed. Both the trailer and the vehicle were totaled and towed to an independent tow yard. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and an inspection on the vehicle was performed. The contact received an edr report from the manufacturer but no statement was given as to what was the cause of the failure. The failure mileage was 27,093.
The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that about a year ago, the vehicle was involved in an accident where he T-boned another vehicle that was turning in front. As a result, the vehicle spun three times but the air bags failed to deploy. There were no injuries sustained. A police report was filed. The insurance Agency company towed the vehicle to an independent mechanic, who repaired the cosmetic damages. The contact then turned on the vehicle and all warning lights on the dashboard failed to illuminate as the dashboard becomes dark to the point where the contact can't see. The contact also stated that the rear windows worked however, the driver side and passenger side windows failed to operate correctly and the 4 way flasher warning light that illuminates on the vehicle or works properly. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (tri-star motors 2 superior way, uniontown, pa 15401) where the technician was unable to duplicate the issue. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and had someone inspect the vehicle but the failure was unable to be determined. The failure mileage approximately 150.
2019 Ram laramie 4X4, 5'7", crew cab with less than 9000 miles on it, getting intermittant "service airbags" messages with dinging alarm for past 2 weeks and now, getting "passenger seatbelt alarm" intermittently as well with my wife buckled securely in the passenger seat, while I'm driving.
This vehicle sustained a drivers side impact to the doors and the side airbags failed to deploy. The vehicle was traveling down the road and was struck by a box truck in the driver's door area. The driver was injured as a result of the airbags failing to deploy. There are photos and video of this collision. Consumer stated no repair was done it was totaled.
I was in a head on collision with a Chevy car. This was the other drivers fault as he come into my lane (while taking an illegal left). The car is totaled and my Ram 1500 had close to $14,000 in damages. It is still in the auto body getting repaired. Both the frames are bent. During this accident, none of my airbags were deployed and this shocked me. My body moved back and forth violently due to the collision and absolutely not one airbag was deployed. I strongly believe the airbag system installed in my truck is faulty or designed incorrectly and NHTSA must investigate. Going forward, I do not feel safe in this vehicle as I am not confident that the airbags will be deployed. I've attached few pictures of the damage. We had to pull the entire front bumper from the front left tire almost 12 inches as it was deeply wedged into the tire and we could not move the vehicle for towing. Please help. Wife was in a wreck on interstate where she bounced off a barricade and the other truck also 2019 Ram struck her twice, no air bags deployed. No one from Dodge called to check on her and the tow truck had to pull the cord so he could put it in neutral find hit hard to believe, no alarms or alerts.
The first issue was the airbag light came on when starting and stayed on since and the app said airbag may not deploy. The dealer said in Mar it was safe to drive. In April the truck while engaging the cruise would speed up above cruise set or just turn off without breaking. Now no cruise at all and I am disabled so it would be nice to have that feature for long drives. I called again they said I was welcome to call hq. Now not even a month later I have no horn while driving and needed it. This is the last straw. How is this safe with no airbags or a working horn?
I was in a major motor vehicle accident in where I fell asleep behind the wheel. As a result I swerved right, collided with 20-30 ft of guard rail and rolled at least 2 times. I don't remember a thing since I received a major concussion from slamming my head into the steering wheel at impact. Had my airbags worked, I wouldn't have a massive scar on my forehead, I would be able to defend myself in court because I may have memory of the accident. Neither front airbag deployed, the rest of the truck airbags deployed, including the rear passenger airbag
The rear center brake light apparently leaks into the cabin. This is a common 1500 2019 problem. It leaks into the ceiling surrounding air bags and other electronics. How is this not already recalled" it leaks constantly so how can one tell when it occurs"
The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. While driving 50 mph, a semi truck struck the front driver's side door of the contact's vehicle. As a result, the contact lost control and spun around a couple of times. The air bags did not deploy. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact sustained injuries to the spine and base of her skull, her left leg was fractured, and her pelvis was shifted and needed realignment. The contact was taken to the emergency room and was seeking medical attention from a chiropractor several times a week. A police report was filed. The contact stated that the rear passenger tire was destroyed, which prevented the vehicle from being driven. The vehicle was towed to a body shop. Gene's Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (located at 3400 S cushman St, fairbanks, ak 99701, (907) 452-7117) was made aware of the failure. When the contact purchased the vehicle on July 1, 2019, she was informed that it had been serviced per NHTSA campaign number: 19V407000 (air bags, seat belts). The manufacturer was notified and opened an investigation. The failure mileage was 3,466.
Since buying this truck (2019 Ram 1500) purchase date 02/09/2019 my airbag light comes on I immediately took it back to the dealership napleton Chrysler Jeep dealership (855)517-8371 they kept my vehicle 3 week after I was told parts will be in 2-3 business days! then 5 days later I was I was told parts are on back order without giving me a replacement vehicle. The service tech (eric) never calls me back I have to keep going back in forth trying to get a status up date on my vehicle.brand new truck and no parts for it nor does can the mechanic find out how to fix it !!!he said the mechanic can't found the problem. I also complained about a seat memory issue that says need servicing continues coming on saying needs servicing. No action was ever taken to repair the pissue. I spoke with the service manager about these issue he assured me that he will work closely with me and service tech to fix the issues it never happen it was just to stop me from complaining about the service I have been receiving and it has been 3 months 10/06/2019 since I last talk to the service manager. I been driving around with a airbag issue which is a safety issue suppose I get into a accident what will happen if the airbag doe's not deploy. I have other issue the Navigator issues the breaks sweaks radio buzz and when back up there nothing behind me and the car stops really hard and flashing warning light red jerking my neck really hard
