Front fuel tank strap broke. This is a known issue for Dodge ram trucks. It is the same issue that happened on the 2009 through 2012 Dodge ram recalls. My truck is a 2016 Dodge ram. Has been mostly in Virginia and Ohio over the last 8 years. The strap broke through the chassis due to rust and corrosion. This is a known issue with a lot of Dodge Ram trucks and is something the NHTSA should look into and force the dealerships to issue a recall.

RECALL dated June 09, 2022 NHTSA Recall Number 22V-406 VIN: [XXX] 2016 RAM 1500 EcoDiesel. It has been over one year since I received the recall notification. The part is still unavailable. This is a high risk problem, as the safety risk is "fuel starvation which may result in an unexpected loss of motive power, which can cause a vehicle to crash without prior warning." This is grossly unacceptable. This is the first of 2 RECALLS! I would like the manufacturer to BUY BACK this vehicle at a reasonable price. Hello, On March the 31st, 2023 my husband 2016 Dodge 1500 ECO Diesel Truck serial number 1C6RR7KM5GS326355 stopped working while on a fishing trip returning to Tucson, Arizona. The truck was towed to Globe, Arizona still at auto shop since March 31,2023, he left it for them to fix thinking he would get his truck in about a week or so. Unfortunately, he was contacted by the dealer Horne Dodge Chrysler Jeep Nissan, Globe, Arizona and found out that it was a recall on a high pressure fuel pump, which to this date July 20.2023 they have not been able to repair. The dealer explained the part is not available and neither are any replacement parts to fix the vehicle fuel pump with an unknown date of service to get the truck back up an running. First of all you need to understand this was my transportation back and forth to work and I had no choice but to go out and purchase another vehicle which put be in a bind financially as I am making to truck payments. I have been a fan of diesel of dodge diesel trucks and found another dodge truck which was a 2023 RAM 1500 VIN 1C6SRFFM2PN550123, at Bill Luke Dodge in Phoenix, AZ in mid- April as I needed a vehicle to transport to work and Horne Dodge had no resloution to get the current vehicle fixed. Then a few weeks after purchasing a 2023 Dodge I received a recall notice once again for my new truck I just bought. This is so upseting to me as now I am hoping this truck doesn't quit working on me as still have another truck sitting at the dealer to get repaired from the same recall. My request is resititution for all my payments from VIN# 1C6RR7KM5GS326355 made from March - current date this is resolved and or go ahead and buy the truck back at FMV, or what you would call a " buy back" then you can resale when you figure out and get it fixed. I have called numerous time and your recall customer service have provided me with nothing and gave me various numbers to keep calling. I was told to send in reciepts once resol

The HPFP on my ecodiesel went out the first half of April. It is currently at a Chrysler dealership and is available for inspection. The safety of little children were at risk because I was driving through my neighborhood when it failed. The problem was confirmed by the dealership. No warning before the problem happened.

There was a factory recall to replace high pressure fuel delivery pump. Dodge dealership will not replace my pump. My truck stalls and loses power due to this faulty pump. All I get is the run around. Clearly from the recall description this is also a safety issue. I have ask the dodge dealership to do the repair and they said no money or orders are given from parent companies.

I registered my Ram pickup vin # [XXX] with the dealer I purchased it from, the day after I received the card from CFA telling me about the recall. I have checked with that dealer monthly since. They always say parts are not available. Now I am 1000 plus miles from home and stranded because the truck has quit. The local in Springdale, Ar. say some of the parts will be in about 6/13/2023, some parts not until the 19th, but those parts show " no movement". he says that means they will be much later. This almost a year from when I REQUESTED MY TRUCK BE FIXTED. I called CFA this morning and the gave me a [XXX] case # [XXX] and said a case manager would contact me 2 to 3 business days. They don't seem to take your recalls very seriously. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

At 69,500 miles my fuel pump sensor failed, i have found hundred upon thousands of people complaining that their fuel pump sensor assembly in their 2013-present 5.7l HEMI Ram 1500 series model failing prematurely due to a design issue that is known by RAM for a long time and has never been addressed. i want to a file a formal complaint as this is beyond ridiculous, if this was a known issue why not address it to future owners. instead of installing a flaw design in newer models. it puts people at risk due to now displaying NO fuel levels in the cluster; this unit also potentially could or may control the amount of fuel delivered to the engine and i have seen or read where people got stranded. just do a quick search for ram fuel sensor issue and you will find A LOT i mean A LOT OF complaints. another issue is that my cluster now has my check engine light ON, Thus rendering any other future issue mute as i cannot tell if anything else failed.

Received recall notice Z46/NHTSA 22V-406 July 2022. Had received no update as of May 1, 2023 and called local Ram Dealer (Turpin Motors Dubuque, Iowa). They indicated parts available & would order and call me for appointment. That was a month ago & still no recall appointment made.

I was driving on the highway and my vehicle lost power. I was able to make it home safely. I try to go around the block and as I was accelerating the truck keep loosing power. Finally at my house driving the truck was running and it just died. Since then I was unable to start it again. This happened June 2022, using a computer scanner I saw that it was a bad fuel pump. I called the dealership and they told me that my truck has a recall and that they are uneable to repair it and that I had to wait. I was then told to wait until January 2023 because that was the expected resolution time for the recall. So far it has been 11 months and my truck has not been repair. Back on January 2023 I opened a case with Ram and they told me to take the truck to the dealership. The dealership submitted an estimate repair cost to the recall department but they have not approved the money to make the repair. For the last 11 months I haven-??t been able to use my truck.. mean while I keep paying my monthly payments and my insurance. That-??s over $7000, plus having to get another car on the meantime until my truck gets repair. I feel I-??m left out of options so I-??m not sure what else to do.

I had the AEM for mission controls performed. Since then, I have experienced a reduction of 5 miles per gallon in fuel efficiency. Additionally, and more importantly, there is a lag in acceleration from a stopped position that is a safety issue. This has caused a number of near accidents due the the lack of acceleration at a stop sign or intersection. I have contacted my RAM dealer on a number of occasions, but I am always informed that there is no repair issued for this by RAM. I was assured by RAM that the AEM would not cause a degradation of performance but it clearly has as there are thousands of other owners who have reported this as well. I have tried to get this resolved throught Chrysler cares, but they continue to tell me that what I am experiencing is not a result of the AEM. However, there are thousands of the same complaints online from other RAM 1500 owners. Please let advise me what recourse I may have or if your agency has addressed this issue previously as it is a severe safety concern.
