Takata recall. We were notified years ago, still passenger side air bag not replaced. Now Ford is telling us not let anyone sit in the passenger seat. Ford had ignored all our correspondence. It's rediculous, will never purchase another Ford product.

Takata recall - got a letter from Ford back 5 to 7 years ago stating that my passenger side airbag was / needed replacement. I've been writing letter after letter to Ford Corp every six months to a year and contacting my home dealership, gosch Ford in hemet, ca trying to get them to replace this bag. The last letter I got from Ford crop was dated 12/17 with an srn #16S26 / nhtsas recall 16V-384 stating that it was now 'my responsibility' and do not let anyone sit there...and will let me know when 'parts are available'. really - how long is it going to take to get a "replacement bag"" this is ridiculous. Can you help" we their clients need accountability. Now. Don't put the blame on us. Ford - get the parts. I will be happy to send you all the letters that I've sent or you can contact ron/service manager at gosch/hemet... I've talk to him several times regarding this problem/issue and he blames it on Ford Corp. Not getting him/them parts/airbags and many customers are waiting for them.

7/2016 I received my first recall notice from Ford stating my passenger takata airbag was recalled. At that time my local Ford dealer said the parts were being released by "zone in the U S". 12/2017 I received my second letter from Ford now telling me that this could not be remedied until "spring 2018" and in the meantime "no one should ride in the passenger seat". duh, just how in the heck is a household suppose to function in this manner? this is absolutely ridiculous on Ford's part.

Takata inflators - we received a notice over a year ago that replacement would be in spring 2017. Waited and called several times - now a second letter it is spring 2018. The desired option is for passengers in front seat needing to sit in back seat - didn't spend all this money, wait this long only to wait so more - what are options to get this done sooner since we have already been waiting two years.

"takata recall" in July 2016, I received a recall notification from Ford advising that the air bag inflators were defective. I just received another letter from Ford dated December 2017 advising that it was unsafe for anyone to occupy the front passenger seat until the recall revision is complete. I find this to be totally unacceptable as this is our only family car. I suggest that the Ford Motor Company furnish replacement cars with working air bags to those of us affected, at their expense until the passenger air bag in my car is repaired. Since we are now being advised that a front passenger involved in a front end collision could be fatally injured, we have lost the safe use of our car. Please investigate this matter as soon as possible. Please see warning on December 2017 recall letter.

There is a recall on the airbags, in case of a car crash they will rupture. I called a Ford dealer and I was informed that they are waiting for the replacement material. What if I get in a car accident today? he said that they don't have this replacement material throughout the country. It is unacceptable!

Takata recall - we have been waiting for at least a year to have the air bags replaced. We have just checked again, this time with 2 of our local Ford dealers and they say they have no replacements available. We live in coastal ca -- warm/humid -- so we are concerned that it is taking so long. Do we just have to sit and wait? this doesn't seem like timely replacement. Thank you.
