Hi, I have a 2020 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sahara. The steering has a problem with wandering all over the road. It worsens at higher speeds. I took it back to the dealership for service on this problem. And was told there is no fix for the wandering issue with the steering box. The issue still persists and I'm afraid to drive it on the highway at high speed. Please send me a case number and how to proceed to have this repaired. There are numerous Wrangler owners on the internet forums with the same safety concerns as me. Thank you, giuseppa

2020 Jeep Wrangler bought July 16 2020 had 35 miles and now it is 1000 miles. While driving at all speeds vehicle drifts left to right, you constantly need to be correcting steering to keep vehicle in your own lane. Steering get worse at speeds above 40 mph. You need to be moving steering wheel back and forth to keep vehicle straight and then without warning you are being jerked into other lane. I will not let any other family member drive Jeep until they fix this issue.

My new 2020 Jeep Wrangler rubicon has excessive steering-wheel play resulting in an inability to maintain a straight line at speed on the interstates. Unlike my previous 1997 and 2005 Wrangler or current 2012 Grand Cherokee, which permit total steering control, mt rubicon moves from side-to-side, I.e., "floats, " when driving at speed greater than 30 mph or on bumpy roads and gets worse on interstates at 60. Can't maintain a straight line in the lane, only able to recover as the vehicle drifts from center which is constant. The dealership's service dept says there is nothing wrong and it is a Jeep thing. Chrysler's customer concern dept says taking it to the dealer but after the third time with only 9,000 miles on the Jeep I feel it will not be fixed.as I've driven all models of Jeep for some 30 years, I'm quite disappointed in as much as it's a serious safety issue not being able to fully control the front end at speed on the highway.

Test drove a 2020 Jeep sahara on 8/7/2020 and drove good. Bought a white one but was not ready so it was going to get delivered the next day at my house. White 2020 Jeep sahara was delivered on 8/8/2020 at around 12:00 pm. Salesman showed all features and left. I did a test drive around 5:00pm, wen on the highway and steering was really off, did a turn around to come back home. At 55 pmh I tried to change lanes and I I lost control and ended up in a ditch. Steeting was very loose going left to right and right to left. Felt I was swerving so much and did not feel the same as the one we test drove at the dealership. Called dealership told me that since the vehicle is still brand new that the roadside assitance was not avaible, left me there in the ditch and I had to call my insurance. This happened in san antonio, tx. Do not buy Jeep!!!

The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired once before for a failure with the steering column. The contact also mentioned that the steering failed to respond to the left or right unless it was jerked. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure recurred twice. 2020 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sahara complaint. VIN: [xxx] date of purchase 07/20/2020 I leased a brand new 2020 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sahara with a 2.0 4cyl turbo. I am loving everything about the car except the steering. The steering on this vehicle is terrible and dangerous!!! the steering is loose and on it's own, it will drift or float to either side, right or left, on a smooth dry surface at virtually any speed. It is even worse at higher speeds. It cannot steer straight like any normal vehicle. This is a seriously dangerous problem that Jeep should be instituting a recall and repair order for! I've instructed my family members to contact our attorney if anyone is involved in a crash with this vehicle that receives injury, serious bodily injury or death. My family members will inform our attorney that this dangerous problem existed since the day it was purchased and that the manufacturer (Jeep) knew about this from numerous complaints from customers, and yet so far has failed to institute a recall for repair. Check online and you will find many owners complaining about their new Wrangler's steering problem. Online aftermarket companies are attempting to sell products that "may" resolve the problem. Why should any new owner have to spend money on an after market product for a brand new car? if Jeep does not initiate a recall, I will write complaints and negative reviews everywhere I can and this will be the last time I purchase one. I will recommend to everyone not to purchase a Jeep product because of this gross negligence. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Purchased 2020 rubicon jl - dead space on steering at hwy speeds, driving more than 30 minutes is mentally and physically exhausting trying to keep it in lane. Taken to service and they avoid admitting anything wrong. Needs a major steering box overhaul or recall, software update. Something electrical is not communicating. Death trap.

Bought this Saturday July 18th 2020. The steering is very dangerous. It takes 2 hands to drive. Drifts side to side. Your constantly trying to keep it straight. I never thought Jeep would have this kind of horrific vehicle leave there plant. Lots and lots of complaints and still nothing. Took it to dealership in sterling il with jerry the manager saying they are all like this when driving a Jeep. Terrible....

Just bought this Jeep 3 days ago, and it exibits loose steering to the point that is hard to keep vehicle in lane. On one occassion while driving the passenger side of the Jeep hit an uneven surface in the road and immediatly veered tot he right almost driving us into an embankment. The uneven surface was just a very minor dip. This needs to be addressed immediatly before someone gets killed. I am registering my complaint today as prrof that I made Jeep aware and for possible future litigation.

There is a 3" dead-zone in the steering of this vehicle - meaning, when the steering wheel is turned left or right up to 3", there is no steering response. As a result, the vehicle drifts all over the roadway and becomes very difficult to keep straight on the roadway. This is a safety issue as the driver will encounter uncontrolled drift into other lanes of travel.

The steering is causing the vehicle to wander all over the road. It is an unsafe condition. I feel like I have to constantly over correct (left & right) the steering to keep the car on a strait line which makes it very unsafe and hard to drive. This is a brand new car, it should not have this issue.please recall and fix this issue.
