Pick up new 2018 Jeep Wrangler sahara unlimited 04-23-18 issue #1 - navigation, back up camera, radio... all have serious issues 03-06-20; replaced 03-12-20. Issue #2 - navigation, back up camera, radio... all same issues 05-08-20; replaced 06-11-20. Issue #3 same issues and reboots multi times while driving, replaced 01-08-21. Issue #4 same issues reboots multi times while driving, same issues reboots multi times while driving, ordered new radio 01-29-21. Waiting on new replacement again. All these issues were noticed while driving on all kinds of roads. Make multi pics and videos
I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler unlimited sport and a couple months ago I had an error message pop up saying service shifter not even a week later my Jeep started flashing lights inside as well as the engine start stop warning came up and the check engine light came on. Everything then went away for a little bit and then it started to come back but now the check engine light is on and is staying on this time.
When the vehicle is in reverse, whether stationary or moving, sometimes the parking assist grid lines do not show up at all on the screen that you are looking at which are supposed to help you when you are backing the vehicle up. The grid lines let you know how far to keep backing up, if you are going straight or at an angle, let you know when you should stop backing up, etc. This means you are not exactly sure when you should stop & sometimes you hit the curb behind you with your wheels or in my case, I hit our backyard fence. I also couldn't tell that I was as close to a parked car as I was or that I did not pull into a parking space straight. I've emailed Jeep several times over the past 2 years & joined several online blog groups & Jeep keeps telling us Jeep owners they will be putting out a uconnect upgrade which should fix it but we've been waiting over 2 years now & nothing has happened.
While driving on the freeway my steering locked up and I almost hit the concrete median. It is happing at high and low speeds. Take to the dealership and I am always told nothing is wrong with the vehicle.
Sun visor mount breaks causing visor to hang down and obscure view. Had to pull over and then hold visor while it is hanging down to be able to continue driving without an obscured view.

Axle locker system has failed, I get a continuous warning that it has failed. This is a problem nation wide that I came to realize as I research it online. It obviously is a problem that is effecting a lot of 2018. Can you please look into this, thank you
At highway speeds I hit 2 or 3 small bumps consecutively on the pa turnpike. The car started to wobble and steering wheel shook uncontrollably. This was the second time this had happened...could not regain control, had to downshift rapidly to decrease speed and get control. Luckily, at this time, there was no one behind me but there are so many places along the turnpike where you're jammed between concrete barriers, it could have been very scary.
I took my Jeep in to have it looked at because it started making a clicking sound. They told me I needed to file an insurance claim to repair the Jeep. The actual wording was "upon inspection found impact damage on lower right control arm. Drop down shackle bracket from frame has broken at weld points. Recommend taking to the body shop for repairs." The service man told me I would have noticed when I did this... I have not done any off roading recently and have certainly not done anything to cause this issue. Then I looked at the issue..... I also had a professional welder look at it... the weld was not done correctly. There is no welding marks on the second part of the weld.
The wiring going to the steering column keeps shorting out making it so the horn, steering wheel electrical buttons and likely airbag stop working. The dealer says it is the clock spring. It has been going on since purchased with 12000 miles and replaced twice. At 22000 miles the dealer cannot keep it functional. I'm concerned that the lack of functional safety equipment could lead to injury or death. This also leads to loss of value if the manufacturer cannot provide a solution.
Vehicle has been garage kept except for this one day. We where getting ready for a trip and that night it rained and we noticed when moving that was a water leak. The leak was coming from the center of the freedom panels. The water dripped on the electrical mirror then on to the radio and final into the automatic shiftier. This happened numerous times after on that day since it was a rainy day then after.
My 2018 Jeep Wrangler violently wobbles every time when going above 60 miles/hour and hits the smallest bump. The dealership told me that to fix the issue I have to change all four tires and that I have to pay for it.
Electronic throttle. Stationary want start wait a few minutes to 20 minutes. The close dealership is 2 to 3 hours. Any recall on this problem. A local mechanic said disconnect the negative. He all so said the same thing with Chrysler.
Fca (Jeep Chrysler) has issued a notification to owners via V88: "the rear quarter windows vertical retainer on your vehicle may not be properly installed to the door rail after removal. This condition may cause the soft top rear quarter window panels to separate from the vehicle while driving at highway speeds." This very situation actually occurred in our vehicle while driving at high speed (I.e. the speed limit) on I95 in Virginia on 3/3/20. Without any warning, the rear quarter panel blew out onto the highway. The noise was so startling, it is amazing the driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle. Also, no other motorist was impacted by the dislodged window (this time). However, as this was in the evening on a high-speed interstate, it was not safe to pull over and try to retrieve the window from the driving lanes so, we are not certain that the dislodged window did not then present a potential road hazard to other motorists. The greater concern is that it could happen to us again and, more than likely, will happen to many other drivers of similar vehicles. I suspect not all cases will have outcomes where no one will be injured (or killed).
59800 miles, and a leaking radiator. Seems like it's leaking on where the plastic is crimped to the aluminum. This is my second Wrangler and 2nd one with this issue. Both Wrangler were different generations
Back up camera screen will occasionally turn blue or black when vehicle is put in reverse. Dealer has been unable to replicate and resolve this issue. After talking to other Jeep owners this seem to be a somewhat common issue with no resolution from Jeep.
The vehicle does not crank and have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for it to start.it happened four times in a week. There are lots of trends online with other Jeep Wrangler owner with the same problem. No diagnostic error when using obd scanner.
Vehicle was being driven approx 30mph on a city road when a loud bang was heard. Immediately pulled over and luckily a stranger following behind quickly escorted the driver out as the vehicle completely went up in flames. Metal chunks and pieces could be heard falling underneath the vehicle. Upon closer inspection the transmission had completely exploded and ejected the clutch assembly shearing the input shaft and rupturing a fuel line. The vehicle was a complete total loss with flames immediately entering the passenger cabin in seconds. If it was not for a brave bystander serious injury or death would have occurred. This is a new transmission introduced in the new jl Wrangler and gladiator and has been happening more and more. It's a serious safety issue that Jeep refuses to look into and needs to be investigated immediately. Transmission explosion to this degree not only can result in a fire but also metal projectiles hitting bystanders and coming through the floor boards and possibly resulting in injury or death. If you are reading this and have a manual Jeep Wrangler have it checked immediately! this was a completely unknown problem showing no symptoms whatsoever.
My Jeep started to shake violently after driving over some small bumps on the highway while driving 60-65 mph. I had to pull my car over. I thought I blew a tire, but I did not. I drove off without the vehicle shaking after I waited a few minutes. Unfortunately, it happened again in the same day when I drove over a rough patch on the highway traveling the same speed. I pulled over again and waited before driving off. I did some research and learned this is a know safety problem with Jeep called a "death wobble". I made an appointment to have my Jeep looked at on 2-4-2020, however the service garage had to cancel my appointment due to their internet being down. I have rescheduled for 2-7-2020. Rapid jarring and shaking of steering wheel occurred when driving speeds of 65 -70 mph encountered an expansion crack the violent shaking of the Jeep caused me to have to pull off the road to avoid a collision. This happened on January 29, 2020 the Jeep has 13,000 miles on it and has never bee off-road. The Jeep has been parked since the incident, deemed unsafe for transportation. It is scheduled to go to into dealership on Feb 4th for evaluation and repair if possible.
