My Jeep experienced sever wobbling, as if the front wheels were coming off. So, I took it to a repair shop and they said it was the "death wobble." When I took it to the Autonation Jeep Dealership, South, Columbus GA. I was told that they had a recall on that 2 years and 3 months ago, and since the 2 year warranty expired, there was nothing they could do about it. If a recall doesn't work, then isn't the dealership still required to fix a manufacturer defect? My Jeep had an additional recall, which the dealership performed last week, and the dealership thought this new recall (computer update) might fix the death wobble problem. When I picked up my Jeep last week after this second recall, my heat and A/C no longer worked--all controls on the Jeep no longer worked. The dealership said they just followed the procedure in the recall, and since the recall resulted in the loss of my heat, A/C and defrosting, that I needed to deal with Jeep USA. I have submitted my case to Customer Care (FCA US, LLC) at Jeep USA, and they are telling me they might be able to ship a part in 6 weeks. My car has no heater. No accountability. I need to be compensated for the damages they have caused to my Jeep! Thanks, [XXX] INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I'm describing this is a steering problem, but it may easily include suspension as well. I've experienced the so-called death wobble several times since buying this Jeep. I had chalked it up as being part of having 4WD (though operating in 2WD), but I never had this problem with a much older Jeep, and it doesn't seem like it should be acceptable. Twice on this day traveling around 60 MPH, the steering began to shake with the whole vehicle wobbling. I was able to stop it after slowing down below about 40 MPH or so. I haven't found a common culprit, though it's been triggered by hitting bridge expansion joints on the highway... particularly if I'm not going perfectly straight. I'm fearful of driving over 55 MPH, and I don't think that's acceptable. While I kept control, I don't know if that will always happen. I fear losing control and possibly rolling over. It has not been reproduced or confirmed. It has not been inspected. No warning lamps or messages showed.

The Uconnect (Infotainment System) screen in our vehicle has suffered from delamination. The delamination between the two parts of the screen has resulted in persistent "ghost touching". This is where the screen acts as if it has been touched even though it has not. This ghost touching is sporadic and volatile and results in a very large distraction for the driver. On more than one instance this distraction has almost led to a collision. At one point the touch screen started to self dial SOS and would not respond to the initial attempts to hang up, causing the driver to be distracted and almost cause a collision. This is a known problem affecting multiple FCA vehicles where they have chosen to not recall or support the replacement of the faulty part. This issue can endanger the vehicle driver and others on the road way.

In July 2021 our 19 year old daughter was driving our 2018 Rubicon on a trip 2 hours or so from home when all of the dash warning lights came on speedometer was lost. Panicked she asked us what to do? We told her to take it to the closest Jeep dealership (Ladd-Hanford DCJR) to see if the vehicle was safe to drive. She was told it just needed an oil change and it was safe to drive. About 10 days later my wife was driving the vehicle and the same thing happened. The vehicle was taken to our local dealer where they tried to diagnose, unable to duplicate the problem it was returned to us. We returned about 10 days later same lights coming on, this time power steering was lost. Dealership worked with Chrysler engineering and determined that the ABS module needed replaced. Work completed and Jeep was picked up. About 10 days later dash warning lights on, speedometer display out, power steering lost, back to dealership. Unable to look at at that time appointment made and returned. It is now September 30th we have cases opened with Chrysler and Mopar Warrantee. Vehicle is still at the dealership, diagnosis is now a $2000 chaffed wiring harness just outside the fuse box not covered by anybody. No guarantee that this will fix it. Neither will put anything in writing. I have tried to be patient, we need our vehicle. I do not feel that my family or others are safe when it pertains to this vehicle. I don't want it to be involved in an accident that could cause serious injury or death.

While traveling this weekend, my 2018 Jeep went into "death wobble" which caused loss of control of vehicle on a highway causing me to exit the road. I was going about 70 mph at the time and there were some imperfections on the road. I search online when home and saw that this has been an issue in the past. However, when looking at the VIN on NHTSA recall check it shows no recalls. While driving I was able to remain common and analyze the situation. However this is a major safety issue if one of kids experienced the same situation. I don't feel safe to drive this vehicle on the highway. Please advise

While driving the locker system light will ding and light will illuminate. Have had it at a dealership 5 times approximately for this issue. Locker system will not work but I fear it will engage while driving since they cannot figure out how to fix it. I have had the entire axle replaced as well as the drive train control module. I have no idea what needs to be done to fix it at this point but when the engineer says it needs to be adjusted and the dealership has no idea what they mean by that since it is not a serviceable part of the axle. It is built into the axle itself hence the axle replacement. The forum for the jl Wrangler there are a multitude of problems with the axle/locker system that Jeep cannot figure out and it's been over 2 years.

I received a letter stating there was a recall on the clutch. About a month later I was driving and all of a sudden I was unable to shift, there was a cloud of smoke behind my Jeep. I was only a few miles from home so very slowly I got there. And there was also a burnt smell. My Jeep has been at the dealers since March 18. Today they said that it was not due to the clutch recall and I would be responsible for the repairs. This is my 3rd manual transmission vehicle and I do not beat on them. I know how to drive a manual vehicle. The whole time the service manager has been telling me he believes it was due to the recall. Apparently someone from fca made the decision that it was not.

Jeep went into autonation broadway in littleton Colorado on January 8th 2021. The vehicle has been there unrepaired since due to a recall for a death wobble which caused loss of control of vehicle on highway causing me to almost hit the center jersey barrier.. however, when looking at the VIN on NHTSA recall check it shows the recall has been completed and there are no open recalls. Fca also states that this is not a safety issue but will not say or put in writing that the vehicle is safe to drive.

Sun visor falls out of the plastic bracket. Is now held in place only by the electrical wire. The small plastic clip holding it in place has broken. Appears by on-line complaints to be a problem experienced by many! many broke well before 40K miles mine broke about 1000 miles past warrantee ended. Was driving at the time. I'm actually expecting the passenger side visor to break any time. In my opinion, horrible design flaw.

Have brought my car in numerous times to Jeep T correct issue. Back up camera doesn't always function. The screen is black when reversing and sometimes the screen works but without guiding lines. I cannot tell you how many times I have advised them of the issue and they have said they corrected it by resetting software or whatever but issue always comes back. I am writing to you this time because an incident that just occurred today put me over the edge. The screen was black while reversing and since my keep has a molar lift kit with 37 inch times I'm a bit high. I didn't not see or realize that someone standing behind me and I accidentally backed into them. More of a bump but none the less a scary situation. Someone could have gotten hurt. Nothing happened but I am concerned now. I'm also in law enforcement and I see accident all the time. I hope that Jeep/Chrysler corrects this issue before a tragedy happens. Back up cameras are federally mandated. So they should also be mandated to work effectively. Especially after there are so many complaints online about it. I purchased my vehicle in October of 2018 and from the beginning of my purchase I have had this issue and brought it to them to correct which they have tried but apparently failed. I cannot put a date on the bottom and correctly shows a time frame but know that is has been since October of 2018.

While driving, the auto start/stop function will disable and a message on the dash pops up that says 'stop/start unavailable. Service start/stop' and a yellow a with an arrow around it will light up on the dash. This happens intermittently but happens every day. While at a red light, my Jeep shut off completely while I was still in drive. The service message as previously stated appeared, along with the yellow a and arrow. I had to put my Jeep into park and restart my engine. The system message and a continued to display. The vehicle has only shut down completely one time, how ever that still is a safety risk for myself and other drivers. Vehicle has been at the Jeep dealership for roughly two weeks trying to determine what is wrong.
