Twice this week my car has suddenly died while driving it and would not start back up, battery light comes on. I have had to wait before trying to start again and got it started by pushing the gas down while turning the key. Luckily I have been on my dirt driveway both times. I'd be terrified if this happened on a busy highway, I'm getting more and more disappointed with this vehicle.

On 2/28/19 I purchased a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. On 4/15 I had to have the transmission replaced due to leak & failure. On 5/27 I had to have the dash instrument panel replaced due to failure, which I have video record of. On 7/10 I had to have the park sensor replaced due to failure & the vehicle throwing itself into park instructing me that door was ajar when it wasn't. I can only imagine if this had happened while I was doing 70mph on the freeway. My VIN is not showing in any of the recalls, however three recalls pertain to me. So I need to know what to do to make ppl aware of these recalls. My VIN needs to be added to the list. I have all repair reports needed to prove my vehicle is a safety issue. I have repetitively asked Jeep to place me in a safer more reliable vehicle and they refuse to return my calls or assist me in any way, stating that 'this is why we have warranties' someone needs to contact me about this issue. I need help before my vehicle results in a fatal crash no kills my family and me. I am noting that I contacted the NHTSA about this issue on 9/11 and am awaiting a response.

Air conditioner has not worked since I purchased in 2018. When the car is in motion or sitting still the car does not cool properly and everyone complains of being hot in the car. I have seen in the interior of the car on the passengers side water dripping and puffs of smoke coming from the drivers A/C vent this has happened twice it looked like a cloud of condensation. The first time I was driving to Florida and the smoke hit me in the face and it scared me, I could have had an accident. The most irritating thing is that I hear the A/C compressor while it's working the noise is loud and distracting. This issue has been going on from August 2018 to current date.

On July 27 2019 at 12:39 am my 2019 Jeep Cherokee caught on fire while parked at my condo complex at 1138 valley road in wayne New Jersey. The vehicle had been parked since 4:30 pm on 7-26-19. There was no indication or warning lights that may have indicated a problem on 7-26-19. My neighbor called police at 12:39 am stating that my vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. When the fd arrived they concluded it was most likely a manufacturing defect or electrical. My insurance company has since looked at the vehicle with a fire inspector and also corporate Jeep and has determined it is a manufacturing defect of some sort. Jeep corporate is now launching a 30 day investigation.

Hood vibrates at hwy speeds. Hood is made out of aluminum. Dealer says it is double latched. All vehicles hoods are done like that. When a semi passes you it is so bad you think it is going to fly open. Vehicle weighs 150 pounds less than the 2018 model. Need to be weighted down. Dealer will not fix

After starting car from sitting all night or during the day while at work, the car stalls while in motion within 5 miles while de-accelerating with the stop/stop button deactivated or activated. Beep occurs, dashboard reads, "press break and push button to start", drive indicator on dash is blinking, D on shifter blinking, battery indicator is displayed, radio stays on, blower on but no air, foot on break, the start/stop button pushed. Pushing on gas pedal no response. Coast over to side of road and or a parking lot, wait until flashing stops, put car in park, restart car. Same scenario 4 times, dealer unable to find issue. Safety issue - worried about getting rear-ended. Consumer stated a beep was heard prior to the car stalling.

I was driving down the highway as I was making a left turn across traffic at intersection the vehicle shut off without warning therefore traffic in all directions was coming at me due to no sign that the vehicle was going to stop unexpectdly.

The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that after parking the vehicle approximately 5 minutes later smoke was present coming from under the hood. No flames were present but several parts under the hood had melted. No further information was available. The fire department was not called to the scene. The vehicle was the towed to the local dealer atlantic Jeep (555 sunrise why, West islip NY). The cause of the failure was not determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 4,000.

Jeep Cherokee eats engine oil too quickly. On my 3rd oil change in less than 10 months less than 2500 miles difference. Car does not let you know when the vehicle has no more oil it will stall with no warning.

Vehicle with 23 K miles with oil consumption and coolant problems, with no indicator warning of low oil or coolant level. This vehicle could shut off with no warning, which could cause an accident. This is a brand new vehicle that now will have to go through oil consumption program. According to numerous online complaints, this issue has been ongoing. This could be a potentially huge safety issue that needs to be addressed and/or recalled immediately.

My 2019 is about to have it's 3rd oil change, apparently it's supposed to go every 3,000 miles to get an oil change. When I called the dealership the guy that's in services didn't care of my concern regarding the Cherokee turning off while driving during traffic especially in the freeways, all he kept saying yup yup yup. He kept telling me he has a paper stating that Jeep Cherokee new models are built like that now. All he offered was to do an oil consumption test which I have to make an appt for and go every 1,000 miles to get it read. I mentioned that the compass has the same type engine, however, with the compass I would go 5,000 miles or more. I cannot continue to pay for a car that puts me and my family at risk for accident. My car turns off completely all the lights on the dash board turns on before turning off and states it's the battery when it's not the battery. Why hasnt this been recalled or fix my Chrysler or Fiat! the first time it happened was around christmas time then 3 months later. I had to get my first oil change before the 3 months of getting it.

Wen into arbitration with documentaiton of 8 trips to dealer to find problem they told us they were not able to duplicate the problem sssee recall #UA9/NHTSA 18V-739..after the arbitration ckhrysler rep stated that the vehicle was not unsafe.I believe other people are dealing with this same problem. On 6/8/2019, I pulled through my gate, left the vehicle in park to close the gate which takes a few seconds. My vehicle completely shut down. Restarted, ac was off, audio also off. Drove for about 35 miles, made 2 stops, all ok. Next leg of trip approx 20 miles, coming into another town and approaching traffic light. At the light as I stopped, the vehicle again shut down in drive at the stop light in considerable amount of traffic. This was not the auto stop/start, it shut down again. Had to put in park, it did restart, and again, ac off, audio off. Proceeded to my next stop where the vehicle tried to shut down as I pulled into parking spot, I was able to complete parking. Upon returning to the vehicle, it started, but now have back up camera failure which has not worked since that episode. This was terribly dangerous as I was in a lot of traffic and was helpless until I got it to restart.

Just purchased vehicle 3 days ago. Has 3,300 miles on it. Every time I've driven it today, the radio volume and reception fades in and out. On every channel. I don't live or drive in remote areas, so it is not a signal issue. I enjoy listening to music while driving, but this was so annoying that I rode home in silence. The fade in and out happens regardless of motion of the vehicle or volume I turn it up to.

Radio August 2018 drove for about 6 hours. Stopped for dinner. Started the Cherokee no radio. With out the radio nothing works ( no ac/heat, navigation, phone etc. ). bought the 2019 Cherokee in May 2018. July of 2018 the radio was replaced ( refurbished radio / not a new radio } volume problem. So this is the second radio in this vehicle ( not happy with a refurbished radio in a new vehicle that is just months old ), dealer/Chrysler keeps doing systems updates that don't work. At least once a week the radio will not turn on and when the radio doesn't turn on I cannot operate any of the internal systems because the screen is blank.

The tail lights become clouded due to condensation that appears after the running lights have warmed up the inside of the tail light housing. This occurs in all weather conditions. Condensation does dissipate or fade away when lights and the car have been turned off and stationary for some time.
