CarComplaints.com Notes: The 2019 Cherokee is racking up engine complaints for suddenly shutting down while driving. But the problem could possibly be related to the increasingly defective 9-speed transmission which suffers from hard shifts, lurching problems, and a wiring harness defect that can cause sudden shutdowns or an unexpected shift into neutral.

I have reported problems with the transmission and revving up while driving today. But I got in my Jeep went down there road to a stop sign. Then preceded to drive and the Jeep just roared and did not accelerate, I'm in the middle of the road then here comes traffic closer. The transmission is a problem. There is no fixing, every Jeep ship I go to, they don't fine nothing.
The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that the battery was replaced three times and the transmission control module was reset three times. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds, the engine revved up. The contact removed her foot from the accelerator pedal and the vehicle independently accelerated. The contact tapped the brakes several times and the vehicle came to a stop. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to holden Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram located at 640 S governors ave, dover, de 19904, where the technician was unable to diagnose or duplicate the failure. The contact also stated that the oil was topped off more frequently and there was no evidence of a leak detected. The technician informed the contact not to top off the oil. The failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 5,000.
Vehicle stalls when slowing down. Restarts after several tries. Stalls when in motion and slowing down. This has happened 3 times with the first being 5-15-20.
When driving the vehicle around town or on the highway if I take my foot off the accelerator for any reason that requires me to slow down the accelerator has an extremely slow response time when I re- accelerate anywhere between 3 to 6 seconds. This is extremely dangerous if another vehicle is coming up behind you and traveling faster than the car can accelerate to get out of the way. Several times I have almost been hit from behind because I can't get the car to accelerate back to the speed I was traveling until the slow response allows me to speed up.

I am having similar issues that other people are having. No acceleration, vehicle stalling, the car revving over 4-5K rpms stopped and foot on brake, radio issues. What I am trying to find out is how can I get fca to buy back this lemon. Also I would like some data of how many people have filled a complaint. I want to used this info and give it to the national center for dispute settlement
While driving my Jeep its completely stalled out loosing power steering and electrical, had to manually get it to the side of the road. A previous recall UA9 has been issued for this problem but my VIN doesn't match even though it did the same thing.
My vehicle is experiencing frequent stalling and will die on me whenever I make an average turn (left or right), or whenever the car is decreasing acceleration on a normal city street. However, I'm experiencing this mostly when my car is still heating up, so around the first 10mins of driving the vehicle after not touching it for 5+ hours. When my car stalls or shuts off, it still shows that the engine is on through the start engine button. However, I still need to put my car in park, and press the start engine button again while pressing on the gas to turn on my car again. When I do this, the car occasionally will struggle to turn on and sometimes it won't start up on the first try. In addition, I experience my car sounding an alert noise occasionally whenever I'm making a normal turn (when my car is fully heated up), but my car doesn't stall or shut off. Another issue that my car is experiencing is I can tell that my car is occasionally struggling to switch gears when I try to accelerate during while my car is in auto mode. From my understanding, there was a recall on my car model back in 2018 for a similar issue on the automatic transmission. However, my car was never recalled and it was never serviced for anything similar to the recall.
I was driving home from work one night and all the dash lights come on and the vehicle completely stalled in the middle of the highway. I had to attempt to pull over and switch the key off and back on to restart the engine. I also have been at a stop multiple times and turn out into the road and my vehicle won't go, which could result in me getting hit. I also had my recall 'fixed' for the power train, went back because I received another letter saying it was possibly not fixed and it still tells me the problem was not fixed on my vehicle. I cannot use cruise control on my vehicle because when it goes down the slightest hill, curve, whatever, the rpms go all the way up and just sit there, even when I have turned off the cruise control and braked it still stays shifted up for a long time. I regret purchasing this vehicle, especially with a baby on the way any day now and her safety being at risk. We are in the process of finding another vehicle.
My car make a humming noise like it's trying to catch up while driving it stalls and sometimes while driving the car engine goes dead I have to keep pushing start button about 3 times to restart I took a picture of light that comes on and also another car backed into my car when car went dead it's very dangerous been to dealership several times they said everything was ok they even told me to take pictures of lights when it happens like I'm lying and I did even thought all pictures are time stamp.I can't afford uber and car note I need help.this happens on freeway highway side street anytime no warning.
The contact owns a 2019 Jeep Cherokee. The contact stated that when using the start button for the vehicle, it would hesitate to start instead of starting immediately. The contact then stated that while driving at highway speeds the vehicle would hesitate to accelerate and exhibit a sputter when attempting to accelerate as well. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 mph the vehicle suddenly began to reduce in speed. The contact stated they lost all throttle with the vehicle. The vehicle's service electronic throttle warning light illuminated. The contact contacted the dealership (tri-star uniontown located at 2 superior way, uniontown, pa 15401 phone number 724-430-1401) who replaced the vehicle's wiring harness, reprogrammed power train module, pedal accelerator replaced, replaced the throttle body, reprogrammed transmission control module, and other repairs. The failure remains. The contact stated the failure occurred about 5 times. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and opened case number 74681739. The approximate failure mileage was 1,000.
Car does not go in to drive and will sometimes lurks in to high gear from a start or a initial go. The car revs up thinking it was in drive then slams in to high gear and goes.
My car hesitiates when putting it in to drive from backing up or just taking off. It hesitates going from low to high speed taking a long time intermittently. This is a very serious safety issue. I could be side swiped or ran in to.

When I accelerate my vehicle after a stop or getting on the highway, it stalls and or stutters. This is a major safety concern. I have almost been hit because my vehicle would not accelerate when I had my foot on the gas.
Transmission slipped started to slip on my 2019 Jeep Cherokee with 10000 miles. Car is just about brand new and the service transmission/shifter message and check engine light came on as well as all the transmission gear lights are lit.
I was in an automatic car wash and after it was finished my Jeep would not engage into drive from neutral. I had the automatic engine shut down turned off. I tried multiple time from shifting from neutral into drive. I also restarted my Jeep twice and on the second time it started and I could drive away.
