Since vehicle was first purchased in Dec 2014, the autostart feature occasionally completely stalls vehicle when stopped at sign, at a traffic light or stopped in heavy transit and will not turn back on to continue trip. I have to turn off key remove key and exit vehicle to reset. I have almost been run over, impacted by other oncoming vehicles on the highway or by vehicles trying to get around me at a light or stop sign. I have reported it several times to dealer whitten bros in richmond va and ashland va but have been ignored and they have refused to document occurrences. And dismissed my allegations. I have had over 12 incidents in the last 3 years in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018, in the city, suburbs and highways. My most recent occurrence date is posted below updated 9/21/18

2015 Jeep Cherokee latitude 4X4 - when pressing the accelerator at a stop light/sign, it acts as if it is in neutral for a few seconds prior to taking off. It will often jerk hard when it does move as if it is dropping into gear. Often times the jerk is hard enough that it will throw me back in the seat and makes a horrid noise. The jerk can happen after stopping or randomly auto shifting while driving down the road. I've kept a diary of logistics (hill, flat surface, winter, summer, rain, dry, slow driving, fast driving, etc...) and there is absolutely no rhyme or reason to when it's going to "act up". someone mentioned an O2 sensor? I've had it into the dealer a few times and have been told there's nothing wrong with it, it's normal for this to happen (both the feeling of being in neutral when taking off and the hard jerking when shifting). I worry my transmission is going to fall out of my car when this happens!

My car keeps disengaging when I'm driving. It feels like it goes into neutral. Car read but doesn't feel like there is any connection to make it go. It also jumps or pops when going from reverse to drive. Jeep hooked up to the computer and said there aren't any error codes so they can't do anything. It's scary when the car leaves drive. This has happened on city streets when in motion and the reverse to drive when is starting up and when I've been driving it and need to turn around. This has been going on since March 2018. I've brought it to scap Jeep twice for the problem

Jeep Cherokee trailhawk, 2015. This has been an ongoing problem, since shortly after purchase 8/10/15. This happens when driving. Sometimes highway sometimes county road. When Jeep shifts there is a significant "jerk" that can be felt. Similar to whiplash. No specific time or place that it happens. Just at random times. Have had this in to dealership 3 times. One time they did software update. Did not solve problem. The next two visits the technician said they did not experience any problems during test drive. It seems to be a transmission problem. That is main problem--but there is also a problem with the radio. When on am, it sounds as if there is someone inside the radio hammering with a hammer. Again, dealer did not experience this problem while driving.

We purchased this vehicle new from auto nation Chrysler Jeep & Dodge in roseville, California on April 19, 2015, to tow four wheels down behind our motorhome. The dealer stated that this vehicle was ready to tow with a touch of a button. On two occasions we have experienced a severe front wheel wobble while towing the vehicle, luckily at slow speeds down the road. We took it to the dealer to find out what is wrong. We are being told that we now have to have a special wiring harness installed on our vehicle to eliminate the problem. The dealer stated that this is not covered under the warranty and it is at our cost. The cost of this wiring harness and installation is over $700. We have complained to the dealer that we should not have to pay for this. The dealer has stated that they have tried to contact Chrysler/Jeep for an answer. I have contacted the dealer on several occasions for six weeks now, with still no answer. We are now coming up on our traveling time and can not tow our car and go on any trips due to the liability of this situation. We certainly would not have purchased this vehicle having known about this problem. I have also read on the internet that this is a known problem now with this vehicle.please help us get this resolved

The transmission shifts hard and sometimes skips gears. It will shift very late and do a jolt and it feels likes I was hit by another car, gives a slight whiplash feeling to the passengers. Sometimes when I go from reverse to drive the back wheels lock up and the back half of the car lowers to the ground while the front of the vehicle rises. The vehicle also sometimes accelerates on its' own when I don't have my foot on the gas. I can be driving at any point around 20-30mph and my rpms will jump to 3000+ and the engine makes loud noises like it is being overworked to go 20 mph and it will stay like that for a good 4-8 seconds. All of these problems have drastically decreased the mpg my car gets. All of these problems are when the car is in motion. The "start/stop" feature also has many problems. If I forget to turn it off I can be at a red light and once it turns green I let go of the brake and go to hit the gas and the car is still in the process of starting back up, takes anywhere between 1-3 seconds to startup. This has almost caused me to get into several accidents. I don't feel safe in this car anymore. It was fine up until about 30,000 miles, but it has gone down hill since then. I am at about 45,000 miles right now.

Thermostat needed replaced at 55,000 miles. Thermostat problem has been continually reported but yet no recall. Some dealerships have a 2 month wait to replace because of such a high demand. Transmission warning came on while driving on the interstate. Pulled over and turned car off and back on. Car seemed fine until I took it over 55mph and it did the same thing. Had to pull over again and turn it off and on. Car almost stalls in the middle of the interstate. Took it the dealership who updated the software. Car already not shifting correctly on the ride home.

This 2015 Jeep Cherokee has the 2-speed transfer unit, and was sold as flat towable, and manual so states that fact. The manufacturer made the power steering system electric rather than mechanical. In 2017 after many complaints about the Cherokee not tracking while being towed behind the motorhome and causing a severe left to right wobble behind the motorhome, Jeep issued a revision to the owner's manual (s-13). It states that a flat-tow wiring kit should be installed, but Jeep wants the part and labor to install this kit to be paid by the Jeep owner, not by the manufacturer. This is a safety issue and should be addressed under a recall. On a straight road this wobble happened twice to me and almost caused me to loose control of my motorhome, not to mention damage to my Jeep.

My car had 40,343 miles and was in great condition. On November 19, 2017 my car wouldn't start and had the brake light on (which the brake wasn't on), check engine light on, off road light on, and battery low light on. I charged my battery and took it for a test drive. The check engine light came off and break light but the others were still on. The car was driving fine. The next day I went to start my car and it started but was acting awful. It was giving me resistance to change gear, it felt like the brake was on even though it wasn't, and it was scary to drive it. I took it into the shop. They said the computer wasn't reading anything correctly and they hope that putting a new battery will help everything go back to normal. They changed it and it didn't work. They said the ECU and tcm configuration was mismatched and needed to be replaced. I don't think a car that only has 40K miles should have issues with its computer like I did. I spent $1720.61 to fix it and I'm not happy with this situation

I had my 2015 Cherokee latitude serviced ON12/8/17 and on 12/9/17 I had to go about 30 miles. On my way back home as I accelerated to get up to speed my Jeep acted like it wanted to stop. The RPM kept climbing but my Jeep slowed down. When I did slow down and I tried accelerating again my car chugged as if it didn't know what to do. I am going to call the dealer when they open to report the issue

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Cherokee. The vehicle was being towed by a 2000 holiday rambler endeavor recreational vehicle. While the rv was driving 55-60 mph, the Jeep shimmied violently without warning. The Jeep was taken to folsom lake Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (12545 folsom blvd, folsom, ca 95630 (888) 480-1238) where the diagnosis was unknown. While the Cherokee was at the dealer, the contact notified the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent a new wiring harness to the dealer and the Jeep was repaired. A year later, while the Jeep was being towed by the holiday rambler, the failure recurred. The manufacturer had the Cherokee towed to autoworld Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram (1370 auto center dr, petaluma, ca 94952 (707) 762-2712), but the dealer refused to diagnose or repair the vehicle without knowing the repair history. The vehicle was taken back to folsom lake Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, but the failure could not be duplicated. The contact stated that the Jeep Cherokee only violently shimmied while being towed. The failure mileage was approximately 14,000. Updated 10/17/17 the consumer stated the failure occurred after having the harness was replaced.

My car hesitates when going from a slow speed to accelerating. By the time the engine "catches up", the car lunges forward and the rpms go all the way up. To passengers, it feels like I don't know how to gradually accelerate or shift. (my car is an automatic.) also, the more dangerous issue which has put me in several close calls to getting hit by oncoming traffic, my car will not move when I accelerate from a stop. (this is unrelated to my auto shut off). These issues happen randomly. When I let off the brake and hit the gas, it slowly rolls forward (into oncoming traffic) and then hesitates for 3-5 seconds not moving. It is a scary feeling sitting in the middle of the road with traffic coming at you and you can't do anything but push harder on the pedal and hope that it kicks in. I mentioned this to the dealership and they said this was normal on all new cars because the computers need time to process.

Faulty engine sensors causes the car stall at anytime. Was driving when stopped at a red light my car stalled and the dashboard light up along with multiple error messages. It took 15 times for my car to restart. This issue is a completely unsafe and putting the driver and passengers at great risk. Currently my car is in the shop but have read similar stories online saying that this particular problem is associated with a transmission issue. Many stated this is known issue at Chrysler which they have done nothing to action the consumer.
