For the third time I have had the service shifter light come on the car only has 36,000 miles. There is also significant issues with the drive train, shifting, making a fan humming sound and the car not accelerating and hitting top rmps in the red. My car previously was at a Jeep dealership and they claim nothing is wrong, computer reset and issues are still occurring
While in motion, I would get a message on the dashboard saying "service shifter." I've seen this message pop up about 10 times now within a the last 6 month span. I've gotten it from the dealership in 2017. My vehicle is at 75K miles.
Air conditioner stopped working. Upon further investigation, mechanic informed me the problem originated from a faulty evaporator system. Currently, the repair estimates is over $2000 due to replace the evaporator, compressor and freon. Based on Jeep blogs, it has been identified that Jeep has been aware of this faulty evaporator problem, but will not take responsibility. Per Jeep blog, another Grand Cherokee owner wrote: Dealer's service writer immediately told me that 85% of the time when the A/C goes out in this vehicle it's the evaporator inside the car behind the dash. Upon further examination by the repair technician that's what needed to be replaced. I asked if they replace the evaporator with the same part and he said no, they now use a different sku replacement evaporator. Obviously, Jeep is aware of this problem and has made changes to fix it.

I was making a right hand turn off of clove rd. All of a sudden there was a thunk and I couldn't accelerate beyond 2mph, check transmission and check engine light came on. Put it in park and it kept rolling. A helper had the computer and it read power control module.
While driving occasionally feels like the transmission bangs and it makes a loud noise. When stopped and put in reverse to back up there is a significant hesitation before transmission engages and ability to reverse. A couple of times, parked in driveway, car warmed up, put car in drive and it felt like it was stuck, the engine revved but the car didn't move, I put the car in park and back in drive, it finally felt like it broke loose- literally and I was able to drive. These things happen periodically.
Well in drive the car turned into neutral just didn't go anywhere only had the car for about two thousand miles bought the car used 2015 one year ago from westbury Jeep it's a Jeep Cherokee latitude 2015. Been in the shop 5 times already
Service shifter light coming on, hesitation in drive, all red lights around shifter on red. Vehicle serviced previously for computer issues. 40K miles. Warning lights came on driving from fl to pa in SC appx 300 miles, shut off vehicle and restarted lights were not on. After driving appx 200 miles warning lights came back on in va. Stopped and restarted no lights on in wv or pa. Outside temperature difference from SC to wv 40 degrees cooler. Drove thru pa and NJ for 5 days no issues. Left NJ and drove to nc with no issues. In nc after driving appx 200 miles service shifter light came on in SC with outside temperature plus 40 degvrees from NJ. Shut off vehicle and restarted and no further issues.
I was driving and slowing down when my car completely shut off in traffic on a busy 1 lane road. I put car in park and tried restarting. Car would not start, no power what so ever, no hazard lights, steering wheel did not lock, key would not pull out of ignition, and my car would not disengage from park. Literally parked in the road. We were able to pop the gear shifter and put car into neutral and push my car to a parking lot. I put the car back in park and started it and the car lurched forward violently. Dealer said the issue was because I had a new battery installed in my car recently.
Frequently the message "service shifter" lights up on my dashboard and all the gear lights on the shifter light up. This happens usually after I start the car. Sometimes I turn it back off and restart the car and it goes away, but a few times it has stayed on my entire drive.
First this happened 3/6/2019 the vehicle shut off dead on a main rd could not start it for about 5 minutes or so. Got it going. Then yesterday 3/9/19 the same thing with my daughter driving dead stop engine not running as driving again took awhile to start it up, got it back home heard a sound as you put the car in gear clicking noise then I put it back in park the vehicle rolled back once in park never happens before. I looked up recalls people have had the same exact issue identical to mine, problem a wire was crimped and software needed updating. Done know if this was ever fixed bought this used a year and a half ago. The car is not that old only has 47K miles on it. I see no recalls now but there was one van it be brought in on that recall I am speaking of?? car both times were on a city street coming to a stop when the car shut off abruptly both time we had traffic coming from behind us.
Rear control arm loose, knuckle in arm damages and rear both new rear tires damaged. The rear end had no torque, traction or control and was swaying from side to side. The vehicle is currently being repaired for $2400
I have a 2015 Jeep Cherokee latitude and for some reason when it gets cold outside. My car won't start.in the morning when I get up and it's in my drive way I click my car remote to unlock my car and my headlights won't even come on so I have to manually open my door with my key. I turn the key in the ignition and there is no sounds or cranking. The monitor in front of the driver turns on then it shuts off after a while. The lights inside the car turn on but I'm not sure about the radio. There are some days after a few moments it starts and there are other days where it takes hours to start. I don't know what's the issue. This usually happens when it's 30 degrees or lower. Sometimes even after work it won't start and I would have to find a ride home leaving it at my job.
The car jerks real hard when shifiting pass second, has a problem with accelerating after coming to a complete stop and it sometime jerk once you get pass 35miles a hour nd sometimes it want let you go pass 40miles a hour.
Floorboard on drivers side was soaked took to dealer and they can't figure out what the problem is, also my windshield gets frosted from the inside windshield when parked at night
Numerous transmission issues ranging from shifting errors to rough shifting, and recently, automatic engine shutoff no longer works. Despite Chrysler's transmission recalls, the issues continue. The latest issue, on/off switch, has no solution according to the dealer. And they have submitted a star report for assistance. That was after 5 days of holding on to the car.
Shifter service warning continuously pops up on the dash board while all lights blink red on the stick shifter. This happens daily, sometimes the car will not shift out of it's current gear while in motion which is a massive liability and danger to everyone on the road. I had the shifter replaced at 27,000 miles and the warning light returned again at 40,000 miles. There is now an "electrical" wiring issue. After research, it appears as though this is a manufacturing issue and certain aspects were recalled but not the entire shifter. If I were traveling at a higher rate of speed when the shifter locked up I would be dead. Each time the warning appears, you must pull over within a minute or so before it locks up, turn the car off and restart it. The message disappears and the car operates normal for a short time. This needs to be investigated.
