The vehicle will stall out. You can hit the gas and hit the gas and nothing will happen for almost 30 seconds then it will jerk really hard and go. This has happened several times and I have almost been T boned because of it stalling out when pulling out of a parking lot. This has happened several times and have had it at the Hyundai dealership and of course they can't find anything.

Vehicle has a dual-clutch transmission and hesitates or almost stalls when accelerating from a standing stop. It doesn't happen all the time. Dealer resets sensors in transmission for us periodically which helps for a while; is this a flaw in manufacture or just the nature of a dual-clutch transmission?

2nd time this has happened to me. 2017 Hyundai Tucson decided it was not going to shift out of park even though the shift was allowing me to shift via the shifter and showing it was shifting on the dash. It was parked. Even when towed, the wheels locked and wouldn't move from the parked spot.. it worked in the am, shifting funny of course, then come after noon, wouldn't go. Finally the check engine light came on this time whereas the first time (95500K) it didn't. currently has 100754 miles and I'm out of state. Already contacted corporate again.

On multiple occasions, when accelerating from a stopped position, my car hesitates to move when pressing the gas pedal. In addition, the transmission struggles to find a gear resulting in a lack of power, engine revving and jerky movement of the vehicle when traveling at low and slow speeds. This is extremely dangerous as I've had to slam on the brakes to prevent my car entering cross traffic because the car failed to move when pressing on the gas pedal.

I have been complaining about the transmission since I purchased this vehicle and every 3 months they 'adjust' it to fit my driving habits. It's a dangerous vehicle and does not accelerate when it should. I can never trust it to pull into traffic because I don't know if it's going to move. It has slipped into what I would call neutral and had no power at all, just rolled into oncoming traffic. I filed a complaint with NHTSA shortly after I purchased it but do not see the original complaint filed. This is a dangerous vehicle and not trustworthy. I purchased the extended warranty, if not, I'm sure I would have additional costs associated with this vehicle. I want to get rid of it but know it's not worth near what I paid for it because if this transmission. Hesitation happens all the time. There's no way to pinpoint one date but the first time was just after I purchased it.

The contact owns a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. While attempting to drive from an idle position, the vehicle would not properly accelerate. The vehicle was taken to central valley Hyundai (4620 mchenry ave, modesto, ca) where it was diagnosed that the clutch pack inside the transmission was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 60,000.

I experience a notable lag when accelerating from stop to go which results in the car jerking forward. This happens during acceleration from stop to go. When driving on city streets or stop and go traffic on the highway I experience this jerking/shaking performance. This has been widely described on various internet messaging boards.

Their is a very noticeable delay in acceleration of he vehicle after pressing the accelerator. Also, on several occasions pressing the accelerator results in the engine RPM's increasing but no acceleration of the vehicle. This has resulted in several "close calls" when merging into traffic or starting from a traffic signal. These issues occur when pressing the accelerator pedal to accelerate the vehicle from a stop or to increase speed when the vehicle is moving slowly. The issue has happened multiple times with the latest on 10/24/2019. At almost every scheduled service visit I tell the Hyundai service representative about the problem and am always told that it is simply a turbo lag. The issue is dangerous as you never know when it will occur.

2017 Tucson base motor & base trans, not the dct. Vehicle will not respond to throttle(gas pedal) input. While rolling slowly from a dead stop car does not accelerate. You must floorboard the pedal several times to make engine respond. Occasionally same will happen when changing lanes at speed. Dealer notified on several occasions. Response was "typical of dct". car does not have dct. Extremely unsafe--accident waiting to happen. Note to NHTSA-- most of complaints concerning this vehicle are for same condition. When will you issue a recall"?? what are you waiting for? must dozens of people die before you do anything?"

The car hesitates/shutters from a stop when given gas. When I searched your site with just year, make and model of my car, the exact described issues came up. This issue has put my wife and myself in dangerous situations when the car hesitates pulling out into traffic. I purchased the car new with 4000 miles and it has done this from the beginning. I was told by the service dept to use a higher octane fuel. No improvement was noticed.

We bought a Hyundai Tucson SUV from Hyundai of orange park jacksonville, Florida 32244 back on November 2, 2017. The problem with this SUV is that it has a jerking and hesitation problem when you start out from 5 miles an hour until it gets up to speed. It is worse in damp weather and when it rains out, also when you are in stop and go traffic. I have had the SUV back to the dealership 5 times and they documented it 3 times by stating there is no problems with the SUV and it's the transmission that was put into the SUV's. I have also called Hyundai direct in California, and they say it's the duel clutch transmission that was put into those SUV's. they offered me a car payment of $351 to not further the complaint, which I declined. My wife drives the SUV and is afraid that she will get into an accident one of theses days when making a turn. It started with this problem in may of 2018 and has continued ever since. The dealership tells me the only way to resolve the problem is to trade in and buy another SUV or car that is newer 2019, as Hyundai didn't put the same transmission in the 2019's. I believe this is a safety problem with theses vehicles. Hyundai is aware of the problems, as there is a class-action suite against them pending in the California court.

The vehicle fails to accelerate, stalls, stutters or accelerates with delay when moving from a stop or from a slow crawl. The vehicle is advertised as an automatic transmission but performs as though it is a manual transmission. I was told by the dealership that the dual-clutch transmission should be driven as a though it were manual and that I, as the driver, should adjust the pressure on the accelerator. My vehicle has come to a complete stop in the middle of an intersection and having purchased this vehicle due to its high safety ratings I am incredibly concerned about Y safety as the driver. New models of this vehicle have had the transmission replaced completely due to increased concerns about the issues mentioned prior, but those of us who are still driving the 2017 model have limited options to improve our safety and the functional operation of our vehicles. This is a very serious, scary, and dangerous issue that has the potential to result in great bodily harm or death if the issue presents itself at the wrong time. I have been unable to get any help from the dealership aside from advice on how to drive an automatic transmission as though it were a manual, and I am unsure as to where to turn next.

While driving normally in 'd' drive in my 2017 Hyundai Tucson, I simply stepped on the gas pedal to accelerate and merge into high-speed freeway traffic, and with no dashboard light warnings or any sign of dysfunction of the vehicle, the car accelerated perfectly in first gear, and seemed to automatically get into another gear and as I was merging with traffic the car shuddered slightly spasmodically ' and then the transmission (clutches) completely disengaged with the engine revving to 8000 rpms with no gear engagement after stepping on the gas pedal. The gear shift was useless even when I went to "shiftronic" manual mode - I had no manual control. No gear indicator numeral (like a "1") appeared. Nothing - and no indication on the dashboard. I fortunately avoided death by luck of the trucker avoiding a major rear-end collision with my car - as I successfully managed to get onto the shoulder in just the nick of time. Internet research shows this is an inherent problem with this dct transmission, and in wylie V.. Hyundai America class action lawsuit, all of the descriptions of events that had occurred to other claimants - also occurred to me. Currently Hyundai is attempting to bait me into signing my rights away, nor are they conducting their customer service in a proper, on the level manner. This is a major safety hazard, and I was almost killed or involved in a major catastrophic accident that certainly would have caused major injury or death.

My 2017 Hyundai Tucson eco is equipped with the 7 speed dual-clutch transmission and from the day we purchased it until now the car has a bad hesitation when turning, accelerating, from a stop. This can cause an accident because the car will not accelerate in time and when it does it jolts. Every time the this car goes into the dealership its transmission gets reflashed and this does not help

The vehicle accelerates initially and stops accelerating a few seconds later. My wife accelerated from a stop to turn left across oncoming traffic. Seconds after the car starts the turn is crossing the oncoming traffic it slows down prolonging the time you are vulnerable to being hit on the passenger side of the car. This has happen numerous times when accelerating from a stop to turn left.

There appears to be an issue with the dual clutch transmission. With foot off the brake and gas and coasting at a very slow speed the car jerks and acts as if the transmission isn't going into gear. This also occasionally happens when first depressing the gas from a complete stop, stalling out for a few seconds. Dealership says this is a complaint they hear frequently. I have noticed if the temperatures are over 90 this happens more frequently. Over the last couple of months it has gotten progressively worse.

When I am in a complete stop my engine/transmission feels like it wants to stall or misfire. When I take off it keeps jumping because it has no power. I almost get in a accident everytime I stop and take off again. I have taken it to universal Hyundai 2 separate times for the same issue and they told me nothing is wrong with it. It is suppose to do that. I drove 10 other SUV the same as mine and had no issue and had good power. This is a major safety issue and almost got into about 7 accidents with it because it feels like no power or vacuum or anything. Idk how to explain. If I slow down but not stop then push the gas to get speed again the car bounces like it is miss firing or transmission went bad
