There is already a tsb for my issue. Referencing tsb 19-091 it states that all Civics of all types of trim for the years 2016-2018 are applicable for a recall. However, there is no recall for the hatchback models? this is an expensive repair for something failing that should be working out of the factory and keep working. 50K miles on my vehicle.

2017 Honda Civic air conditioner compressor has failed and is leaking. The condenser is leaking, which is a known problem and is being covered by Honda, however they refuse to cover the compressor even though the leak in the condenser can easily lead to a failure of the compressor.

Vehicle is 2 years old and we are dealing with a persistent, non-functioning ac system that seems to be a known problem in these Honda Civics. Honda corporate refuses to do anything about the problem, leaving the consumer with a $2500 repair bill, that may or may not be a long term fix, on a new car. We live in fl and not having temperature control is dangerous.

The ac vents started to make clicking noises as something was inside of the vent. Then, the ac unit would blow hot air on one side of the cabin and moderately cold on the other. Two days later the vents would blow hot air on the hottest setting. After getting the unit and car checked out, the ac compressor was cracked. The car is with the original owner and hasn't been through any accidents so for it to crack is very strange. Looking up forms, my vehicle is not the only one that this has happened to. Multiple vehicles across multiple states have had this issue happen around 37-42,000 miles. After brining this up to Honda corporate, they stated the condenser will have a recall, but the compressor is okay which doesn't make sense because many people are using outside services to fix their vehicles and Honda will not recall the part. They produced a bad batch of parts that were placed on their cars and now want the owners to pay for it instead of resolving the issue.

I have had issues with my navigation system when I plug in my phone into the jack in the car. I have driven my vehicle to my Honda dealer and they witnessed my vehicle actually remove my phone and replace it with someone else's phone in my vehicle. My vehicle will not recognize the phone also even though I have my bluetooth on my I phone and it will not pair with my vehicle as well numerous times. The tech at Honda stated to me it is as if someone else is controlling the vehicle through your radio frequency. My car has been unlocked at times. Etc. I asked how this can occur and he stated if someone has your radio id or your key fob numbers. This is still occurring even though Honda re set the navigation system and settings to factory default. Now my trunk will not stay closed if something is in the trunk. Happens at all times in motion, staying still.

I brought the car to the dealer on July 6 because the air conditioner stopped working and the car is under warranty. It is unsafe to drive the car without A/C in this heat and humidity. The dealer determined that the condenser had failed and that many 2016 and 2017 Honda have had this problem. The part is on a national back order and they haven't been able to get the part. I opened a case with Honda customer service and it appears that there are over 3000 cars with this problem. As of today, 7/19, their best estimate is that they may have the part on 7/25. No guarantee. My car will be out of service for nearly three weeks at the least. More importantly, many of these cars are being driven in this heat, without A/C, which is definitely an unsafe condition.

I brought my 2017 Honda Civic in Feb/2019. My ac has not been used since I brought the car until it got really hot where I live this month. I called the dealer and they told me that the compressor is damaged because rocks from the highway has been hitting against it. I explained that I don't know if the ac was working from the beginning and that the car is so low to the ground that it is to expected for rocks to hit under the car. They then tell me that it will cost 1200 for me to get it fixed. Honda needs to fix this problem and fast because it is very hot.

Honda Civic 2017 model uses new compressor to go with new refrigerant and seems to stop working without any reason. There has been no damage done to the car to stop the compressor from working, usual maintenance is kept up with the car. The car is 2 years old and should not have an issue with the compressor for no reason.

The A/C stopped working at 2 years, 4 months, but as I am at 41,000 miles, it is no longer under warranty. I noticed it when driving on Saturday, 6/29/19 that the A/C was no longer blowing cold air; this was on a day where the temperature outside was 99 in North Carolina. The dealership indicates that the there are bad seals on the compressor. They have quoted me $2,100 to replace the compressor and add freon to it. I have seen many Honda owners (2016-2017) complain of this issue and am wondering if there's any way to force Honda to pay for these bad compressors?

Purchased 2017 Honda Civic new from dealership with standard new car warranty. At 41,000 miles air conditioning stopped working. Brough vehicle to dealership and was told new compressor was needed and repair would cost $986 + tax. Bought vehicle because of reputation for reliability. Something like this has never happened before and dealership even admitted that there has been a severe problem with air conditioning compressors for this particular year and make vehicle. After searching internet for information I came to realize that this is true and wondered how many other consumers were faced with the same type repair costing over $1,000? filing this complaint so that word gets out and someone can finally hold Honda accountable for selling a product with a known defective component

10th generation 2017 Honda Civic LX sedan: First reported to the Honda dealer in May 2018, the trunk mysteriously opens without any owner interaction. Have gone inside our home only to come out in the morning to find the trunk open. Just recently, in the last week of March 2019, the Honda dealer had the car again and was not able to duplicate the problem. Then on Sunday, March 31, 2019, the problem occurred again. We believe this to be an under-reported problem as some owners may think they accidently activated the remote key fob. This problem has shown up in the Honda Civic owners forum on civicx.com.

Sun visors (when starting from the door/window) swing when making a turn. This can startle the driver in the process of making a turn with oncoming traffic. More details: Both sun visors do not stay fixed when turned to be next to the door window. Example, when the driver puts the visor next to the driver side window and makes a left turn the visor hits driver in the head. It's more pronounced when the visor is extended. My vehicle has been having issue with the A/C for a couple of week. Two day ago my A/C stop working so I took it to my local Honda dealer to take a look at it. They told me that the A/C compressor has failed and it's not covered under warranty due to my car having 41K miles. I tried to explain that the car is only a year old. They (dealership) did not want to cover it under warranty due to the miles. The repair cost was $1,500. I have read online that several buyer have had this problem. The dealer also mention that they have been receiving a lot of cars with the same issue. Something needs to be done regarding this issue. Also, I forgot to mention that the A/C triggered something in my vehicle that would not let it start for several hours. The car was parked when this occurred. I believe a recall on the A/C is entitled.
