While driving my CRV in mid July 2023, I experienced engine stall, dash board flashing all kinds of error codes. I was a couple of miles away from home and was able to drive slowly home. Next day I had my vehicle towed to a local auto body shop for diagnosis. Body shop reported that my vehicle was under a recall for the problem with the fuel pump. We then had my vehicle towed to nearest Honda Dealer, Clawson Honda of Fresno. They agreed that the problem was because of the fuel pump, but at the time my VIN did not fall under current recall. I was told to keep my receipts for future reimbursement should the recall be revised to include my VIN. It now has. The dealer had my vehicle from July 14th to Aug 31st, stating parts were unavailable because of the volume of the recall. The finally just replace the whole fuel pump. I filed for reimbursement providing all documents required and was denied because the part number on the recall did not match the part number on the invoice. I called the dealership and asked if I needed to have the recalled part replaced and was told no because it was part of the whole fuel pump that was already replaced. I tried calling Honda again to contest the denial decision and was shut down, not allowed to contest the decision.

I had received a recall notice for the fuel pump replacement from the dealership in Dec 2023 with no remedy provided as the part was not available. I did not receive the official notice from American Honda until February 2024. The notice specifies that the part can malfunction causing the car to stall. The notice also mentions the possibility that the part will not be available until Fall 2024. Altogether, this will be almost 9 months of driving a defective vehicle. I've contacted the company and the dealership several times to ask for a remedy, perhaps a loaner vehicle or reimbursement for car services, and no one has offered any remedy, and I am left driving an unsafe car. I understand the shortage of parts but for those that rely on their vehicles 9 months for a replacement part is excessive.

Sometimes when you shut the car off, the fuel pump in the fuel tank continues to run. I restarted my car and shut it off and the fuel pump will stop. I'm not sure if it's a bad relay or in the wiring. I don't park near the house. Thanks

I am reaching out because I received a recall notice for my HONDA CRV 2019. I received a notice that there-??s and issue with the fuel pump and I am concerned because Honda sent a notice now in February but they have known about the issue since December. I called Honda World Downey and I was told they would now be able to help me and to call back. I take this matter very seriously as I am concerned something may happen to me while I am driving the vehicle. I was told that they may be able to help me in Fall of 2024 that-??s 6 plus months away. I am unsure if I should drive my vehicle. Can I please get some advice.

The NHTSA announced a recall in the fall 2023 for Honda CR-V 2018-2020 regarding the fuel pump module which may have an improperly molded impeller. The safety issue says the car may not start or may stall while driving. I travel frequently on highways, so stalling is not a pleasant outcome. On 2/13/24, I finally received a written notice from Honda indicating that my vehicle is affected. However, Honda states that parts will not be available until fall 2024! How can this be acceptable"? I don't have another vehicle to use. Do I continue driving my vehicle and hope that it does not suddenly stop"

A little over two weeks ago we took our 2019 Honda CRV to the dealership because all the indicator lights were lighting up on the dashboard. It started as I was sitting in the car with the car idling as I waited for my husband to come out of the store. We took a short video of what it was doing. The car was at the dealership the next day, but there were no indicator lights like the previous day. We shared the video with the service rep. When we picked it up we were told the fuel injectors needed to be replaced and it would cost in excess of $2,300. The car has less than 78,000 miles on it. The service rep said that if it was his car he would not drive it a distance (freeway) with this problem. That says to me that it is a safety issue. We had been concerned that it could be an electrical issue because the car was in a front-end, side-swipe collision in November 2023, and we had just gotten it back from repairs at the dealership two weeks before the indicator lights problem. The service rep assured us it was not an electrical problem. I looked up the problem on the internet. On [XXX] there were a number of other Honda CRV owners with the same problem at about the same mileage. Our safety is at risk with possible risk to friends and family because we need to drive on the freeway for daily activities. We took it to an independent automotive service location. They did not come to the same conclusion; the indicator lights were no longer on. This vehicle component has not been inspected by any others, other than already mentioned. I received the initial msg sending from the rental platform Turo on 12/18/2023 stating that my car has to be unlisted due to FUEL PUMP NOT TO RESALE, since then I have been contacting my local HONDA dealerships all over and see what repairs I need to get it fixed. It has been more than a month, no any advisors contacted me yet, nor any dealerships has the part yet. Everytime I call, they said it is safe to drive, but when I ask for the paperwork/ clarification letter that Turo required in order to relist my car, no one was able to help. This inconvenience has been a huge financial lost as a Turo host. I don't get any update, not even an official letter for more than a month. As far as I received the initial Turo msg, I had been driving normally, nothing weird happened. So my questions are : 1. How long would take Honda to get the part ordered" 2. If it is safe to drive, who shall have the access to get me a letter to satisfy Turo? 3. If it is not safe to drive, should Honda replace a temporary car for me to drive without any charge" Thank you

All dashboard warning lights were lit. Looked it up on line and prior years had their warranty period extended to include fuel injectors. My coded for this. Had to have them replaced at a Honda dealership. But my car is 5 yrs. Old with 61k and I have to pay for the repair. This is a safety issue as I was told the car could stop without warning while driving. Honda will only do a recall or warranty exception if you make them. I contacted Honda corporate and they refunded a warranty exception even though this car was dangerous to keep driving with the fuel injector failure.

Nothing has happened thus far, but: Read about the recall in the paper. Went to the Honda website where they confirmed the vehicle is part of the recall and said "Your search results indicate that your vehicle may be affected by a recall. If you conducted your search by VIN, please take immediate action to have your vehicle repaired, as your safety may be at risk." Went to the NHTSA website, where you all said, "Safety Risk: If the fuel pump module is inoperative, the engine may not start or can stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury." Additionally from NHTSA "Recall Status: Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available." Called the local Honda dealership and they said they won't have parts until Fall 2024. Per NHTSA website "If the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please file an online complaint with NHTSA." So that's what I'm doing.

After waiting in car, dash board went crazy with all warning lights scrolling. Two dealers refused to take car because the dash stopped. This happened 3 times. Third time, Autozone x2 and Firestone, independent of one another said computer issue and that a code for rich fuel was coming up. On sixth check, mechanic private used code reader after check engine light came on. Dash went berserk twice. They refused to touch vehicle stating it-??s electrical. Took it to dealer who kept car for five weeks. -??Can-??t get an active code. We can start with fuel injectors-??. -??Maybe-?? that will stop dash board issue. Now, five days after this diagnosis, dealer states that the tech DID find drop in voltage happening intermittently. When I asked why I was not told this originally - he cited mis communication. Car runs great. No repairs done yet as no one knows what to do. 114,000 miles. Highway. I am on several forums and this is not an isolated issue. Help please

Our Vehicle 2019 Honda CRV with VIN: purchased in October 2019 had issues related to NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID: 21V215000 at approx. 24K miles but the VIN was not in the list of vehicles with recall. Vehicle would stop after backing up from parking in the middle of the road with new battery and plenty of gas. This would happen with hot engine and you would see all sensor warnings on the dashboard. Car would not start after jumpstart with california AAA checked battery and starter. At first doing computer reset by disconnecting battery waiting 5 mins and reconnecting would work. The dealer service cannot reproduce the issue. After one month the issue appeared again and new service shop got the code P0087 consistent with the recall. We believe many more vehicles are affected by the CAMPAIGN ID: 21V215000 but not listed under the recall. Recall initially had 640.000 vehicles why were some of the vin's from 2019 not listed please investigate with Honda. This was low pressure fuel pump issue and the vehicle is fine after the third party shop replaced the part.

On two separate occasions, the car shut off shortly after the car was turned on. After the first occasion, we thought it was a battery problem and called AAA. They said the battery was in good condition ( it was replaced in 3.2023) and the car turned on after a jump start. Several weeks later the same thing happened and the car would not turn on even after a jump start. I had the car towed to a local auto store where they told us the work up showed a P0087 error - low fuel pressure. This was a felt to be an issue with the fuel pump and recommended we take the car to Honda as this was supposed to be under recall for CRVs from 2018 and 2019. We towed the car to Honda and they confirmed it was fuel pump issue but our car VIN was NOT associated with the current recall. The dealership and Honda Corporate ultimately refused to cover the cost of repair/replacement of fuel pump as they said our vehicle is currently not under the recall despite the fact that our Honda CRV is also from 2019. I am filing this complaint to notify NTHSB of the issue we had and whether our vehicle and potentially other vehicles would need to be included in the current recall.

I purchased my 2019 Honda Crv exl brand new. There is a history of fuel injectors problems. All of my dashboard lights come on all the time. It may go off for a few hours then come back on again. Honda knows of this problem. It is a manufacturer defect. I went to Honda to price the charge. I want to charge 2000 dollars to replace the fuel injectors. Honda should take responsibility and replace this part. It is a safety hazard for my waning lights not work because of the fuel injectors. Plus Honda is trying to make money off of this.

The fuel pump failed, causing the vehicle to lose power while I was on the highway. According to my mechanic, it appeared to be the same issue that affected other 2019 Honda CRVs which were recalled, but which did not cover my specific VIN.

While driving the SUV and series of warning lights started going off all at the same time. I took the SUV to Honda dealership and they ran diagnostics and said that all SIX fuel injectors needed to be replaced. Said it was a common problem they we seeing in this make and model of SUV. The faulty fuel injectors was causing fuel pressure problems which sets off all the warning lights is how it was explained to me. Due to the widespread problem with the fuel injectors there was a backlog and wait time of 6 months to order new fuel injectors and replace them. I am just outside of the warranty for the SUV and I went through Honda for Goodwill Assistance. Honda said I was a good candidate to receive because of the low mileage. After many weeks they denied my Goodwill Assistance request and Honda stated they only do Recalls when NHTSA requires them to do a Recall. Please look into faulty fuel injectors because when all the warning lights come on then I loose some of the safety features that come with this SUV. I will be more than willing to provide any other information to prove there's a known and widespread problem with this SUV's fuel injectors. I respectfully request it's investigated and Honda is required to do a Recall. Thank you. There are 11 warning lights that come on, I have provided pictures of a few but listed here are all of them: Electric Parking Brake Problem, Tire Pressure Monitor Problem, Emissions System Problem, Brake System Problem, Brake Hold System Problem, Power Steering System (EPS) Problem, Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Problem, Hill Start Assist Problem, Adaptive Cruise Control Problem, Collision Mitigation System Problem, Road Departure Mitigation System Problem.

Out of the blue, the high pressure fuel pump failed on this car and had to be replaced. The specifics are if not identical, close to the same as the low pressure fuel pump issue that had a a recall. The car started but then stalled. We were able to restart after disconnecting battery, drove a short distance and the same situation happened. From that moment the car would only start but then immediately stall. The part that was replaced is a Denso 1679050PC, H022M2. The part that the local dealership says was replaced is 06161-5PC-305, We also have reported to Honda Corporate and they are investigating under Case No.14028770. We do not have much documentation as yet, but telephone conversations indicate they are only considering a hardship/loyalty reimbursement as a possibility. It is pending. In addition, I have been advised by our local mechanic that he has the exact same issue in another car, a 2019 Honda Accord.
