Windows and sunroof open on their own. Vehicle parked for 2 days in driveway. In middle of night, all windows and sunroof opened during a rainstorm. This is the second occurrence of this issue. First time Sep'19, second time 4/28 or 4/29 2020. Customer case 09867240 with american Honda. They say this is a "feature" that requires pushing buttons on key fob remote in specific order. No buttons were pushed either time. Sep'19 key fob was in pocket. Second occurrence occurred middle of the night while I was sleeping. One fob hanging on hook near back door. Other on my dresser next to my wallet. No possible way buttons could have been pushed in middle of night. Am Honda solution is to get a hardcase for the remote to be sure buttons are not pushed by mistake. Dealer says same thing. Internet postings show this has been happening on many different Honda models for many years and they refuse to take responsibility for the problem. Am Honda also says that the "feature" can't be disabled. My point...if they programmed it into the system, they should be able to program in a "switch" that can be accessed through the control screen. Dealer (williams Honda, traverse city mi) also indicates it is a known problem and they have no way to disable it either, even with their service diagnostic tools. It rained here last night. My car is soaked. The response from american Honda is that I did not have a hard case for my key fob. Even though I was asleep and the fobs were not moved in the middle of the night.

My vehicle was rendered unsafe after rats ate through a wiring harness that disabled safety and emissions equipment on my vehicle. The wiring in the Honda is allegedly coated with a soy based material that attracts rodents. Honda is aware of rodents eating through its cars wiring and offers part number 4019-2317 rodent tape to address this defect after damage has occurred.

This happened in my driveway, where we have lived for over 25 years. The wiring used for the main harness is made with a soy base product. Not only mice or rats, squirrels and other animals can smell this out and destroy the wiring. I was told that one man has had his main harness replaced 3 times. If a soy based product is being used, then the repairs that will be needed over and over from rodents should be covered under a warranty for wiring for the entire life of the car!! this harness goes to control all of the information that is in the cars computer system. I am an elderly disabled senior on a fixed income. I can not afford to buy this car and then turn around before it is even a year old to have to fork out $1400 for a new wiring harness, you knew this would happen, but did not care!!! therefore your product is highly defective!!! I will never buy another Honda car and I will definitely promote the problem of the wiring info to inform others not to purchase these vehicles!!! the poor service that you have given customers concerning this is totally wrong!!!!! by doing this they are creating a completely different problem. Mice, rats and rodents carry all kinds of diseases and by enticing them with soy based wiring, you are causing another problem that could be much worse for your customers, if they were to be bitten by these rodents!!!! why don't you people think about what would be worse, the environment or dead customers and the lawsuits from that!!!!

The contact owns a 2019 Honda CR-V. while operating the vehicle, various warning indicators suddenly displayed, including "brake system failure", "road departure mitigation system problem", and "collision mitigation system problem". also, the vehicle would not immediately stop when depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was taken to baron Honda (17 medford ave, patchogue, NY) where an unknown module was replaced, but the failure continued. The vehicle taken back to the dealer where it was determined that the electronic brake booster needed to be replaced. The manufacturer provided case number: 101365007. The failure mileage was 3,900.

We were driving a CRV which is less than 6 months old. All of a sudden all safety systems failed. The breaks system, colliosion avoidence, lane assist, acc. All failed. Fortunately we were at 20 mph so we were able to safely stop the CRV. We towed the CRV to the dealership and they after 4 days were able to figure out that all the safety systems had failed as there was an electrical shortcurcuit which has blown the fuses and the control system. The cause of the electrical short was traced to exopsed wires in the rear view mirror assmebly which were damaged by an ornamnet we had hung. The reason I am complaining is I want to bring it to your attention of this manufacturing defect. 1.lot of people hang ornamnets/ car freshner etc and this defect can cause a very serious system failure with all safety systems failing when the CRV is in motion. 2.this CRV is less than 6 M old so it also indicates to the poor designand manufacture. 3. CRV is one of the most popular SUVS sold in usa so lot of people are at risk. 4. the design engineer knew the importance of these wires so have a protective rubber insulation but the insulation leaves a gap where the wires are exposed, and can be damaged. I have dramatic video showing this incident when we were drving and the exposed wires, the short cricuit damage and the ornament that they are blaming for this incident. I have the video that I could not load in this complain as the sytem would not allow it to be loaded, but I would be pleased to share if needed.

Infotainment screen will sometimes just start making beeping noises as if you are pushing buttons, while at the same time the screen goes dark, and or the screen brightness option comes on to the screen. Dealer says its a known problem but I don't see it listed anywhere. Unsafe and very distracting. Not sure if the back-up camera will still work because the system started up again and is now working. Vehicle was in motion and didn't reset until I turned the car off and back on again.

Recall 19V-383 after many months of research, decided to purchase 2019 Honda CRV for our 16 year old son in April. Received notification on July 11, 2019 that there is a recall that could cause 'uncommand deployment of driver's airbag.' This recall was first issued in May 2019, however Honda did not notify owners until mid July. Since this is a serious recall, I called several Honda dealers in charlotte right away to schedule the repair. I was told by every single one that they do not have the parts in stock for current customer repairs and will not receive them until Aug/Sept. I was then told that the parts that they are receiving weekly are only for current inventory on the lot that they are trying to sell. What?! this does not make any sense! I was then told that the service department did not have a lot of info about this recall, I would have to call corporate. Called Honda corporate and was assigned a claim number and was told I would be receiving a call in 24 hours.... 4 days later and still no call. This needs to be addressed now, I do not want to put my 16 year old son (or anyone for that matter) behind the wheel of a car where the driver airbag could randomly deploy at any moment. Pretty disappointed in the lack of concern Honda is showing for their current customers.
