Takata recall. I am just horrified that I have been driving my vehicle for 6 years not knowing I could be in danger for those metal pieces that are released in case of the airbag deploying. I have had accidents before and just the thought of that makes me not want to drive daily which is impossible. I know they are trying to do this as soon as possible but how much longer a person can take their chances? this is absurd! they should at least disable the airbags or try fixing the cars that the problem happens on the driver's side (as in my case) I really don't know what to do, they just tell us to wait and in the meantime we're at the "universe's mercy" or luck or whatever you want to call it. This is completely unsafe, mainly if you are driving daily and taking roads. I would like to know what is the solution because time is ticking.

Takata recall I am at a loss as to what to do regarding my vehicle's defective takata air bags. My vehicle is a 2010 Mustang. I have contacted the dealership where I purchased my vehicle and also Ford Motor Company and get the same response from all - they don't have the parts to replace my defective air bags. How much longer do I have to wait" I live in the humid midwest St. Louis area and my car has been sitting in my garage since last may when I received the notice of the recall because I am terrified to drive it for fear of being killed by my defective air bag should I have an accident. This is unacceptable. Why can't we force takata to pay for a company in the United States to manufacture air bags that don't explode and send sharp metal fragments flying at the cars' occupants" and now I'm learning takata manipulated and altered testing data even after the recalls began and deaths had occurred. Simply shameful and unacceptable. U.S. vehicle owners should be able to trust their vehicles are safe and when/if a problem that could result in death is discovered, that problem should be remedied in a timely manner. I have signed up for your emails with news of any updates on the takata air bags but all the news I'm receiving is disheartening because it seems like nothing is being done. I know there are a lot of vehicles on this recall but I'm concerned about one - mine. Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Takata recall received recall notice from Ford July 2015. Today I was told by Ford it could take to end of year to get parts. This does not seem reasonable! I'm stuck with a recalled vehicle that can cause me and/or passengers serious injury or death! the recall should provide a buyback or alternate transportation if repairs can't be performed in a reasonable amount of time. NHTSA and/or Ford is negligent in leaving me in this life threatening recalled vehicle with no repair available.

Takata recall NHTSA recall no. 15V-319 date May 27 2015 I have been to my local Ford dealer 6 (six) times to have this taken care of and still no fix. A call to Ford Motor Company and they tell me that NHTSA is responsible for the fix, you will determine when and where this will happen. I have been driving a time bomb around for eight (8) months. Please inform me how long do I have to wait to get this fixed?

Takata recall-the Ford dealer says that they don't have the parts to repair the safety recall 15S21 as yet. The recall notice states that "an inflator rupture could result in metal fragments striking the driver or occupant resulting in serious injury or death". so, I have to just drive around with an airbag that could kill me or my occupant while Ford works on a replacement part? the letter is dated July 2015 and here it is December. Seems like something should be done to get them to speed it up a little.
