After my husband park the car started to moved backwards ( rollaway issue) took the car to the dealer and they charged us almost $ 700 because even that in online that is a recall for the rollaway issue for all Ford 2013/2016 they said that the VIN is not listed as a recall but the car was assembled 5 days after the recall cut out date.. so I asked if wa 5 days after means they used the same parts maybe but Ford is willing to refund all my money... since is very clear that is a rollaway issue and is not fair that we paid for that.

Air conditioning clutch broke off the compressor. Since the car is only 4 years old, I don't think it should have happened. Has this happened to other cars that are less than 5 years old? the system worked one day and not the next. Only record I have is the bill that I paid to have it fixed.

The car has been making a noise for over a year, while it was still under warranty I was told it was no big deal, but now it has cascaded into a full transmission failure. My car is only 4 years old and doesn't even have 100,000 miles yet.I bought a hybrid so it would last longer, not shorter than the average car

I removed my ignition key from the car after parking and putting the shifter into the park position, but the car began rolling backwards. I had to immediately apply the emergency brake to stop my car from hitting another car. I researched online and discovered that there was a recall issued on my year make and model car for the exact same problem that I am having. However, I contacted Ford and they indicated that there is no current recall on my car for this issue, and yet my car was manufactured during the time of the noted defects. Please see recall information found online below: Power train:automatic transmission:lever and linkage:floor shift summary Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2013-2014 Ford escape, and 2013-2016 Ford Fusion vehicles, equipped with six-speed automatic transmissions. The bushing that attaches the transmission shifter cable to the transmission may degrade over time and cause the bushing to detach from the transmission. The condition could allow the driver to move the shift lever to park and remove the ignition key, while the transmission may not be in park, with no warning message or audible chime. Consequence if the vehicle is exited without the transmission being in park and without the parking brake being applied, the vehicle may unexpectedly move, increasing the risk of a crash. What owners should do Ford will notify owners, and dealers will replace the shifter cable bushing, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin July 30, 2018. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 18S20. Note: Owners are directed to use the parking brake until the recall remedy repairs can be made.

The bushing that attaches the shifter cable to the transmission is detached from the transmission. The shifter cable bushing has detached from the transmissionand the transmission is stuck in drive, but the shift lever appears to be in park.this is an open recall on some Fusion, but mine isn't included, but is effected. It's undrivable like it is. Cannot be shifted out of gear, and is in drive which is dangerous due to car will roll if safety brake is released. I put the car in park, turned it off and removed the key and my car started rolling.

Per Ford recall 18S20 7/18/2018, the bushing that attaches the shifter cable to the transmission detached from the transmission. The degraded shifter cable bushing that detached from the transmission allowed the transmission to be in a gear state different than the gear shift position selected by the driver. The condition allowed the driver, me, to move the shift lever to 'park' and remove the ignition key, while the transmission was not in 'park', in this case "neutral", with no warning message or audible chime. While brakes or the parking brake was not applied, this condition resulted in unintended vehicle movement, the vehicle was free wheeling. Fortunately this condition did not result in an injury or crash. Ford claims that my particular vehicle, (xxxxx), is not cover by Ford recall 18S20, and that repairs will not be covered even though the failure happen exactly as stated in the recall language found here https://media.Ford.com/content/fordmedia/fna/us/en/news/2018/07/18/Ford-issues-two-safety-recalls-in-North-America.html at the time of the failure the vehicle was backing out of a flat residential driveway, front wheels turning left, making the transient to drive forward down a residential street (25mph speed limit). The vehicle was stuck in "neutral", and putting the shift selector in "park" did not stop the vehicle. Instead the vehicle rolled forward down the slight incline of the street until stopped using the brakes. The vehicle then need to be held in place by either applying the brakes or using the emergency brake. The ignition could be turned off, and steering locked while the vehicle was in "neutral", essentially free wheeling unless using the brakes. The vehicle engine could be started and emergency brake released without indication or warning that the transmission was in "neutral". parts of this document have been redacted to protect personally identifiable information pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I stopped and put the car in park in order to get out and move a gate, leaving the engine running. When I got back in and tried to shift gears out of park it didn't shift, it moved back and forth without any resistance and the car couldn't move. The engine could still be on. We had it towed to the shop and the mechanic replaced the cable that connects to the transmission.
