CarComplaints.com Notes: Ford significantly updated the Fusion for the 2010 model year. We wish they hadn't

Throttle body issues have led to a ton of reports about a sudden deceleration and loss of power while driving. Ford issued a “customer satisfaction program” in March 2014 that, unsurprisingly, has left very few customers satisfied.

2010 is also the year we started seeing complaints about the power steering failing. Throttle and steering failure? Yeah, that’s why this is a clunker.

Takata inflators. I havent had an issue except I bought this vehicle in April of 2017 and when I found out about the air bag recall, the dealer's service department told me they are aware of the issue and are blaming Ford for not getting them the correct parts to address this vital safety issue. In the mean time I've received notices about the recall and to take my car to the dealer, etc...but if they don't have the parts what can I do"? for Ford to be taking this long on sending out the parts is beyond me for such a crucial safety issue, and was wondering how many people are going to die in the meantime?"

Takata recall. I received an airbag recall notification via us mail.parts for the repair are not currently available but are "anticipated" to become available "during the second and third quarter of 2018". I called Ford and two separate people told me the car was safe for the driver but not for the front passenger. How can they be sure of this" meanwhile, they offer up to $30/day for a rental car. This is good until I find out through two dealerships that the least expensive car available is $35 including taxes. To recap: 1. Ford says the car is safe to drive for the driver only. 2. Ford will provide a rental car of up to $30/day even though the cheapest is $5 more or $150/month out of my pocket. 3. people have been injured/killed by this defect. What are my options other than jepordizing the safety of me and my family? paying $150/month is not an option and when will the part be ready? why can't Ford go the extra mile and fully cover the rental" I was a federal air traffic controller for 31 years. I am very keen on safety risks and this is not one I am willing to take. Please help. Thank you.

"takata recall" I received a recall notice February 2018 stating there had been a recall on the passenger side airbag, and I would be notifies when parts became available to fix the issue. I have since then received a letter stating parts are unavailable, and Ford is offering rental cars until parts do become available. I have been trying to get this solved for a week now, and my local Ford dealer just keeps saying they will get back to me. This is my only form of transportation, and I have two kids that travel in this car with me. I feel like everyday driving in this unsafe vehicle, is a threat to me and/or my children, and nothing is getting resolved, due to an overwhelming list, but I shouldn't have to worry everytime I drive.

Takata recall 18S01 NHTSA 18V046 after receiving recall letter on Feb 2016, I contacted many Ford dealers in South jersey NJ, philadelphia pa and in buffalo NY to replace defective recalled air bag. However, there is no single dealer has the parts until date 5/31/2018. They don't know when the part will be available and some of them said it may be available by fourth quarter or around the end of 2018. They offered rental smallest compact car (not equivalent to my current car) where I have to pay dealer extra 10 to 12 dollars per day plus insurance cost (average $350- to $500 monthly until undefined date) I would like to file a complaint as I I don't want to be exposed to such dangerous deadly air bag. This is liability of manufacture not customer fault. In addition I can't afford this extra unfair rental cost imposed by dealers.

Takata recall. My complaint is that it is taking Ford an inordinate length of time to develop and implement a remedy to this recall. It has been 2 years, and there is nothing to be done. The only thing they say to do is not have anyone ride in the front passenger seat-that is a ridiculous answer for a period of 2 years. It is clear this is not a priority for them--they sold their cars and now want to sell more.

Takata recall we called a Ford dealership in charlottesville (eddins) regarding this recall and no one called back. It is a great inconvenience to not be able to have a passenger ride in the front seat of a small sedan. I have been given no idea of when this problem will be fixed. We bought this used car last fall and at that time when we researched the car before purchase we were told there were no active recalls on this car. Then in January 2018 we received the notice regarding the takata air bag. Please help me get the manufacturer to resolve this problem as soon as possible.
