My daughter rear ended another vehicle and pushed that vehicle into another vehicle because her brake pedal went all the way to the floor and failed to stop her vehicle. She repeatedly mashed the brake pedal with no response. The air bags should have deployed and did not. She was driving at about 45-50 mph on the highway and traffic stopped in front of her. She was driving carefully because it was in the city and had been raining. She was not following too closely or going too fast for conditions. Her brakes failed. Even though Ford says this vehicle is still safe to drive until the parts come in for the recall, it is not. This is a dangerous vehicle to drive until Ford can do the issued recall for the hydraulic brake valve. They still don't have the parts as of the day I'm typing this complaint. Recall number 19V-904. I have made state farm aware and they are performing investigations. I have hired an attorney because my daughter is not at fault. I have reported the incident to Ford and they were not helpful. She was cited in the accident and there are claims for injuries and damages. - (recall related incident)

I have a concern about recall (#19S54) on a 2009 Ford Fusion ([xxx]) that was purchased from randy marion sav-A-lot in hickory, nc on 12/12/20. On 01/01/21, twenty days after it was purchased, my son was driving home on the interstate and when attempting to slow, the brake pedal went all the way to the floor and would not function properly. The vehicle would not slow down. This was an extremely dangerous situation for not only my son, but other drivers as well. Fortunately, he was able to stop as he pumped the brakes and used the emergency brake. Because it was unsafe to drive, we had the vehicle towed to the nearest Ford dealership which is cloninger Ford in hickory, nc. We were told that even though there is an active recall, any repairs would have to be paid for by us because a 'remedy was not yet made available by Ford', however, they were able to remedy the situation, put new parts on it & repair the brakes. Ford has not "released a bulletin". so I had to pay out of pocket for a recall. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Ford is ignoring the recall on the ABS breaks. #19V-904. They simply refuse to do anything to fix these cars and the NHTSA is letting them get away with this. Its going to get someone killed
There has been an ongoing recall for the hydraulic system that causes brakes to not slow down my vehicle. I notice this more when it rains or is icy outside. Recall remedy was supposed to be ready first quarter of 2020; I have gone through more sets of brakes and brake pads on this vehicle than any other vehicle I have ever owned. Ford has done nothing to help remedy this and no Ford dealership can give a clear answer regarding when this will be available. Ongoing issue for nearly 3 years now.
The break pedal will travel 2/3 of the way to the floor before the car begins to slow down or stop. I can never tell if the car is going to stop or not.
I am writing in regards to the manufacturer recall: 19S54. How are these parts only available in the 1st quarter of 2021" it's now in the winter months in northwest Ohio and I can't even brake my car safely in the snow and/or ice. I need to drive to and from work and make any other trips, but I can't do it safely!! what can you do to fix this issue? can you refund me my bill if I take this into a shop"
NHTSA recall number: 19V904. "parts are anticipated to beavailable late first quarter 2020". Ford has not recieved the parts and or notified me. I just chatted with them on line about this. Here is a copy of the chat response from Ford representative: "carissha at 13:07, Dec 15: Based on our resources, it appears parts are also expected to be available during the 1st quarter of 2021 for recall 19S54 dot 3 brake fluid and anti-lock brake system function. ". this is almot 1 year late to get the parts. No updates to nhsta website that explains the difference. As a general side note. It would be good to have with the recall notice any information the consumer can do to their vehicle to minimize the impact of he recall on the vehicle if possible. Examples 1) weekly check of brake fluid, 2) function of device being recalled ie trunk or hood latch... thanks for all you do.
I had the ABS hcu fail. I was fortunate that I had plenty of room in front of me to stop. I understand there is a recall on this. However a year later Ford still doesnt have to part. Is this timely" what is reasonable time? what am I to do, but drive a faulty brake system? Ford solution is I pay to fix it and they will reimburse me what they feel is adequate. I am a bit confused. Do they have the parts" I have their refusal letter to fix it and text that they will reimburse me to fix it.
Being in motion the 15 of November 2020 I experience an extended brake pedal failure same as stated in the January and October 2020 Ford recalls. Because the high risk of a crash my car was towed the 18 of November for repair to mccoy mills Ford in fullerton, ca (phone 714-5265501, invoice 986572) where the service advisor daniel inzunza contacted Ford Motor Co. Who did not approved any repairs because the required spare parts of the recall will not be available until first Q of 2021 and spite of that Ford Motor Co. Did not authorized a rental car. Complaint I require an assistance of a rental car because the spare parts that were going to be available in 1st Q of 2020 won't be until 1st Q of 2021 and I can not drive mine due the high crash risk for the present extended brake pedal failure
As I was leaving a parking lot and making a left hand turn onto the main in and out of the company, I was unable to stop or slow the vehicle down to make the turn due to the breaks going out or not operating properly. Resulting in the vehicle crashing into a large boulder. 3-4 days previously I received a notice on brake recall for this vehicle but the noticed said that due to covid they do not have a fix or parts to repair the recall.
I hit a dip in the road and loss total control of my brake system, feels as if I've had to push brakes all the way to the floor and almost caused an accident.

On the afternoon of November 16, 2019, I was travelling through a suburb of philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The road is a 4 lane road, two in each direction. It is heavily trafficked. I was travelling in the left hand lane heading westbound. Traffic to the right was coming to a stop, as a car was stopped in the lane with it's four-way flashers on. The left hand lane was slowing to a stop as a car was attempting to make a left hand turn across traffic. I attempted to come to stop. My car began shaking and I had use both feet to hold the break down. At the time, I didn't think anything of it and assumed it was because my car was getting old. My car did not stop, despite my best efforts. At a low rate of speed, I rear-ended the car in front of me which then hit the car in front of them - the one attempting to make a left hand turn across traffic. There was minimal damage on all cars involved. A month to two months later, I received a letter from Ford indicating that there was a recall on my anti-lock break system and that I would be notified when the parts became available at my local dealership. As the insurance claim progresses, I was advised by my adjuster that I should report this accident to NHTSA.
19S54 recall. Spoke with Ford and took car to dealership. Break pedal goes to floor. Been advised by dealership that Ford will not take any action until first quarter of 2021. If I want to correct the problem now it will be $1,300 that I may or may not be reimbursed. The recall has been out for over a year, they only have the parts if you pay for them. Please assist
