Takata recall my vehicle has been under recall since June of 2016, but there is no remedy to fix the defective part therefore I and my family are still at risk. Since the company has declared chapter 11, if my vehicle airbags cause injury after next week, I won't be covered.

Takata recall. Passenger airbag on dash is splitting. I can't allow my 15 year old to sit in the passenger seat for fear that the bag will erupt. This is a serious matter and I've taken it to the place where I purchased the car and was told there waiting on an ok to repair cars. In the mean time I'm in fear every day praying that this bag don't explode. My call back is [xxx]. I then called another location grand prairie Ford in Texas an was told almost the same thing by andrew & michelle. Due to the fact that this airbag is visibly open why can't a dealer repair it immediately? I would appreciate any feedback as to the next direction I should take. I drive this car as little as possible but I'm unable to afford another one. Thanks but I'm impatiently waiting due to fear. [xxx]. below date is an approximate date. Takata inflators. I have been notified of this recall since March, 2017 and there is still not a remedy solution to this problem. I am very disappointed of the lack of speed and, as a result, lack of concern that whoever is in charged of fixing this problem has. Thankfully my family and I have not been in an accident, but I would like to have my car fix as soon as possible. 2017 is almost over and this recall has been almost in effect for a year - something that it's completely unacceptable.
Takata recall, I've check with several dealersips in my area about the recall for our vehicle. They are telling me there is still not a fix from the manufacturer. I understand there is a lot of vehicles affected but I've seen other manufacturer fixing the recall for the airbags. Why hasn't Ford Motor Co. Come up witha solution for their vehicles under this recall, this is a very seriious problem.

Re: takata airbag. In June 2016 I received notice of the takata airbag recall. I never heard from my dealer. I called them today and was told they are on backorder with no delivery date in site. I also received notice of the filing for bankruptcy by takata. Can you please let me know what the department of transportation is doing about this. Also, is it safer to disengage the passenger side airbag. Thank you.
