Have been notified by Ford for the past 2 years through safety recall notice 16S26 of takata air bag recall with no remedy as of yet through a dealership. Was told by dealership that a fix would come in 2017 now they are saying possibly by spring 2018. Am seeking a loaner vehicle until, recall is complete as they have warned for the past 2 years now " do not allow anyone to sit in passenger side first row seat." Not possible when car pooling.
Takata recall... in my own words, the nhtsb is not doing its job. Takata filed for us bankruptcy protection. This recall has been active for 18+ months without a fix. Why isn't Ford Motor Company being held accountable and forced to invest enough resources to immediately remedy this potentially fatal issue?

Takata recall my daughters Ford Fusion 2007 is included in this recall. She has a medical condition that requires a pacemaker and makes it extremely unsafe to drive this car. We gave this information to derek lewis at the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to handle. This was in Aug 2017. As of today Dec 27th nothing has been done. We need this problem fixed now.
Takaka recall-recall letter received June 2016--calls to dealer koons Ford says they're still waiting for airbag-its been18 months since notice that passenger takata airbag unsafe-car can not be safely driven--no replacement car offered. As seniors, too afraid to take chance driving car.--car will become unusable.
Takata recall. Our recall has been active since June 1, 2016 with no resolution. I keep receiving in the mail that the parts are not yet available and they will send a letter once the parts are ready. It's been 18 months and my airbags are still not safe due to the passenger frontal airbag inflator. I also drive with two small children in my car, I would really like to feel secured when driving.

My big concern is that we are a family of 5 and I am not sure how am I going to seat my family safe inside my car. I am requesting in the mean time to get a rental car until my vehicle gets this issue resolved. Takata recall" - passenger airbag has a bubble by seam of airbag; received a letter from Ford Motor Company March 2017; according to dealer where I purchased the car, my VIN is still showing waiting process. This is ridiculous! it looks like it is ready to explode at any time, though to-date it hasn't. car was stationary when it was first noted. I've been waiting since receipt of letter from Ford Motor Company for notification that replacements were available but per dealership that is still not happening.
