Takata recall, I would like to disconnect my airbag until the company can get a replacement which metro Ford sales in schenectady. The company said should be during the 4th quarter of the year, probably by January of 2019. The cost to lease, rent or loan for a car for that period of time is prohibitive even with Ford's discount because of the recall. I was told by the nhsa that I have to fill out this form in order for Ford to disconnect the airbag.

I have tried to contact dealerships in my area for the past month. Ford does not want to deal with these recalls. They ignore my calls, give me the run around & tell me it will be 6 months or more for a rental vehicle. I contacted Ford Motor Company & was told my car was safe to drive, just don't put anyone in the passenger's seat.
