Takata recall- for over 2 years they send me notices that my car is not ready. It has been sitting next to my home(fully paid off) and is not usable. When I contact Ford all they try and do is to get me to pay for other repairs like my busted doors, windows, ect. I want my car fixed or they can pay me for the loss of 2 years of use and my insurance payments.I cannot even take advantage of the class action lawsuit because they will not issue the part to get my car fixed. Enough already.

"takata recall" I received my recall notice in July 2016 and still Ford Motor Company has no parts to fix it. If everyone is so concerned about safety I think over 2 years is way over the limit to fix the problem that could cause death. By the time Ford does something my car will no longer be around and my family in the meantime is at risk. I also think this is Ford intention that if they wait long enough a large portion of the cars that have to fix will no longer be around and they will save themself a lot of money by not having to fix those cars. Somebody should look into this. Over 2 years or longer is far to long to correct a safety issue recall.
Takata recall - see attached letter - still no parts available for a "high risk" vehicle. The delay in addressing this serious and dangerous problem is ridiculous.

The exterior paint chips of in 2" diameter. Also when I took car for the airbag recall on 9/15/2018, it drove good to coccia Ford. It drove ok back to house after installation of new airbags. A few hours later after we had parked the car, we got call to go and pick up my hubby's medicine from walgreen, so we did. When rick got back to car, I tried to start it up. It bucked, made noise and I felt like I was riding a mechanical bull. I had pulled out about 3 feet, so I had to pull back up. I called my best friend's boyfriend who came and said he thought the car did this because timing chain broke and possibly did engine damage from sitting for 2 1/2 months while we drove a rental for same 2 1/2 months. Both my husband and I are disabled...he is in process of seeing a neurosurgeon dr. Deluna about his spinal cord stimulator and battery pack possible removal due to pain. We changed the oil in the car rabout 2 weeks before we had to park it, we had fixed the right headlight at same time and the car was inspected at same time. Car was in great shape when we parked it for the 2 1/2 months, and now I have no car for his appts. We are trying to get it fixed but I am not sure.how. It really wiped us out worrying about how we are gonna get through this. On top of that the paint chips off in chunks and both front door handles are broken. This is the crappiest car I have ever had. Not to mention that the motor mounts might also have caused the problem. They are terrible and in terrible shape now. I feel like this car is nothing but a death trap. If when I was looking for a car I had know what all was wrong with the 2006 Ford Fusion and the air bags recall, I would never have bought this car.
