Truck was parked in driveway for 30 minutes and heard a loud pop. Rear window shattered for no reason. Was parked in shade and temperature was mid 70S.
Truck was in park with the engine running. Nobody was in the truck which was on a slight incline. It was standing still in the back yard while I was trying to get the garage door closed. It took off going through a chainlink fence, across a neighbors yard, and came to rest on a bank on the other side of the neighbors yard. The fence and brush caused several heavy scratches to the truck.
On 5 separate occasions the dash display stopped working. Radio/cd player/backup camera would not work at all. The main concern is backing up at night in a crowded parking lot with the back of my truck loaded for a 9 day camping trip. I can not see out any of the camper shell windows at all. I could hit a parked vehicle or a pedestrian. This has happened 5 separate times.
Rear window breaking with out being impacted by anything. I was traveling and the rear window shattered. I pulled over and inspected the window and saw nothing that looked like it had been impacted. When I touched the glass it completely fell apart. There was no traffic where I was traveling.

In a few degrees below freezing locks and latches will not work!! most often you will be forced to bungee doors together to drive. In my case it is a screw and it is almost always the driver's door. It has been fixed with the latest Ford repairs and still continues to fail. Many many of us are sufferring without a fix from Ford!!
The right passenger door will not shut, also the left passenger door will not open. I have contacted the dealer from where I purchased the vehicle and was told there is a back order on parts with no known time frame when they will receive the parts. Recall number is 17S33/ NHTSA recall 17V-652. The vehicle is not safe to operate due to this condition.
Since I purchased my truck there has been issues with the backup camera. The dealer replaced the apim and had to keep the vehicle for three weeks to trace a bad wire. It has been 10 months and the camera has failed again. I feel as if this is a wider spread issue. Ford even expanded the warranty for the previous years apims.
Recall 17S33 open/frozen door latch. Have been to local dealer 4 times with no fix. Called corporate (Ford) and they say I need to continue to work with local dealer. Been in and out of dealership loaner cars for 3 months.
On January 22 2018 at approximately 11:00 P.M., I started my truck with the remote start, which activates the rear window defroster, as needed. On my 20 mile ride home from work, mostly freeway driving, I heard crackling noises, and I was watching in the rear view mirror, my entire rear window shattering, except for the center power sliding piece. When I got home, pieces of glass fell inside the cab and bed when I closed the door. Ford is aware of this issue, but they refuse to repair it. In the meantime, I am forced to pay $500 deductible for my insurance to repair it, even though I had purchased the extended warranty when I bought it brand new. It has approximately 15,000 miles on it now. Researching this problem, I believe it is a defect in the glass, causing it to shatter when the defroster warms up the glass.
My rear window exploded in my 2016 F-150. I started the truck with the remote starter and let it run for 10 mins.. when I got in the and put the key in the ignition the back window exploded leaving a hole on the driver side of the and the passenger side shatter. The middle part is still whole.
Door latches freezing, preventing operation of door to latch close, sometimes will not open. Happening multiple times daily below freezing temperatures, and on all doors intermittently. Sometimes, locks showing locked, but door will open without key. Door can take over an hour to thaw out with truck started multiple times running heat full blast. Told by 2 dealerships that parts are not available, loaners are not available, and rentals are not covered by recall or warranty for this issue. Told to bungee doors together and call back when parts arrive. Consistent advice across multiple dealerships.
Parked truck. Put shifter into park. Turned ignition off. Truck was stationary and in park. Opened door. Got out of truck. Opened back door. Truck rolled 6 feet forward and then came to a stop.
NHTSA recall number: 17V652 recall date: October 16, 2017 manufacturer recall number: 17S33 I purchased this vehicle from freeway Ford a Ford company dealership in November and was told there were no open recalls on my truck. I get in the truck today to drive and my door will not latch and it is 15 degrees outside and I now have no ability to drive my vehicle.
Topic: Sirius satellite radio uses a unsafe prompt which forces drivers to take their eyes off the road and hands off the wheel, while driving, in order to remove it from the screen. This prompt is their attempt at forcing consumers to call and subscribe to their service. In my Ford F-150, I am able to use a button on my steering wheel to toggle through the audio sources (such as am, fm, cd, or phone. Sirius satellite radio is also one of those options), safely. The sirius satellite radio was a feature that was already installed in the truck when it was purchased from the dealership. I have never subscribed to their service nor do I wish to. Unfortunately, every time I toggle through and get to the sirius source, a prompt shows up on the screen (see photo) and I am forced to take my eyes off the road and my hands off the wheel in order to hit 'close' so that I can move on to the audio source that I am looking for. Sirus told me that there is nothing they can do to disable the prompt, and that the only way to disable it permanently was to pay them for service or pay a dealership to go in and remove the satellite chip. This situation is unsafe and unfair to the consumer. I should not be forced to use my own time and money in order have this safety violation fixed. This seems like a blatant contradiction of our 'hands-free' traffic laws, which are meant to encouraging drivers to keep their eyes on the road. Sirius has essentially hijacked this safety feature in my truck and I would like to pursue a complaint. I am afraid this is an accident waiting to happen. They are aware of the problem and refused to do anything to help.
When the temperature is below freezing my doors will freeze shut or not close fully. Ford says it could be a few months before parts become available for a proper fix. They say the whole door lock mechanism and cable need to be replaced in all doors. This is my only pickup truck and I drive it in the winter time. So now I have to wait till it warms up to drive my vehicle safely as the doors may not shut or fully close. This is a safety issue and Ford is taking their time for a fix. They say they have no clue when parts will become available. I am currently on a waiting list at my local Ford dealership for the repair. At the end of January 2017 we had the same issue with our truck. The doors would not close or fully open then also. Took the truck in to Ford and they supposedly readjusted the door lock mechanisms which did not fix the issue. They told me not to wash the vehicle at all in the winter time as the water can get down into the door and fries the mechanisms. This is unacceptable as Ford should have tested these trucks in cold weather conditions. If they did they would have known of the issue and fixed it before putting the truck to market. Today the doors would not closed and I had to use a propane heater and a blow dryer to unthaw them. Finally I was able to get my doors closed after 30 minutes of thawing them. This is a safety-related issue as the doors when driving down the road could come open or not fully engage the locking mechanism when temperatures dip below freezing.
My truck leaks repeated leak in the back seat. I have video proof of the truck leaking on multiple occasions and the dealer says they can not find it. I bring the truck home test it and I get it to do it. The truck seems musty and not good for my health smelling mold spores. Video file to big to submit
Air cleaner cover won't engage hold-down recesses. Air cleaner edges appear to be too big for cover closure. Air cleaner cover remains unsecured. I discovered this non-fitment while inspecting for registration.
Tarted my 2016 Ford F150 Sunday morning, turned on defroster due to foggy windows from rain & humidity, went back inside to get my coffee before I left to go for donuts, came back out, got in truck, started down the hill and heard a pop behind me, looked back, and both sides of the rear window glass had shattered, the center pwr window was still intact.
