Revision of 11448462 filed on 1/23/22 My wife and I were driving to our house in our 2016 Ford F150 and were approaching the final turn into our subdivision. When approaching our road to turn, I turned my directional signals on to show that I was turning left and was slowing down. Also, there was a line of cars behind me. I immediately saw that my turn signals were not working, and were not aware that I was turning left, and continued going straight to ensure that the cars behind me did not ram me in the rear. As soon as I could, I pulled the truck off the right side of the road into a small drainage ditch. No damage to the truck at that time. Electrical components failed; My safety and my wife's safety were put at risk. This problem with the turn signals has been noted by Woody Anderson Ford, Huntsville Al. My truck, after we arrived home, sat in our driveway for approximately a week while I went through my Ford User Manual and several repair manuals looking for the problem. I did not find any reference to that specific problem. However, during that week, while sitting in the driveway, the truck continued to develop more problems, specifically the engine developed problems that would not allow it to run, and the transmission locked- preventing the wheels to roll. The truck is now at Woody Anderson Ford, Huntsville, Ala..As of this last Friday, at $ 100 an hour for diagagonise. They have told me that the truck is probably unfixable. These two faults, If they had happed to the truck while we had been driving, would probably have killed all occupants of the truck, and anyone that we might have hit would be in the same condition. Please look at your records and the number of the same year and equipped trucks are on the road and are a safety risk.
It is now winter and frequently experience temperatures below 10 degrees F. The rear driver side door power lock will not work (will not lock / unlock) when activated by key fob or by pressing button on door. All other doors will lock / unlock as normal. When the plunger is pushed or pulled on the affected door, it will then lock / unlock.
While driving, I applied the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. I received a low brake fluid warning. I checked and there was almost no fluid in the master cylinder. It was determined that the master cylinder rear seal had failed. The brake fluid had leaked into the brake booster, which failed. I was driving on the interstate when the brakes failed suddenly and without warning. The vehicle is now at the Ford dealer for repair and they have confirmed the failure of the seal in the master cylinder. I am aware of a prior recall on this issue #20S31 - but the dealer informs me that my VIN # is not part of the recalled vehicle group. However, my sudden failure is exactly what the subject of the prior recall covered. I have the exact model and engine as was involved in the recall.

THE REAR WINDOW (NON SLIDING) IS SEVERELY LEAKING DURING HARD RAIN AND WHEN GOING THRU A CAR WASH. THE HEADLINER IS SOAKED AND THIS COULD BECOME A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE THE PROBLEM COULD CAUSE MILDEW AND MOLD UNDER THE HEADLINER WHICH COULD CAUSE BREATHING PROBLEMS TO INFANTS AND TODDLERS RIDING IN CAR SAFETY SEATS AS WELL AS OTHER PASSENGERS RIDING IN THE VEHICLE. i WOULD EXPECT FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO RECALL AND REPAIR ALL FORDS THAT HAVE THIS PROBLEM.
Panoramic roof sliding mechanism braking once send to ford dealer got repaired and it broke again. Had a previous f150 just a year older 2015 had exactly the same issues thus meaning there-??s definitely something wrong with this glass rooftops!
I was driving down the road when the rear window shattered. It looks like it blew outward. I was not using the rear defroster, nor were there any other vehicles that could have thrown a rock.
The vehicle is beginning to suddenly lose power during driving as if it was shifted into neutral. This happens most days lately and is unsafe because my vehicle suddenly slows down without warning. I have full electrical and engine power, but the transmission seems to act as if I've shifted into neutral. I believe the problem to be electrical because the transmission temperature, feel, and sound are fine, and because I noticed that sometimes the gear indicator on my dashboard goes blank. It's as if the transmission loses track of what gear it is supposed to be in.
On the highway towing a trailer. At stop light truck suddenly dies. Did not notice it died, pressed gas and nothing. Put the truck in park, restarted truck and everything went back to normal. This happened three times alreand all the times it happened was when i was towing and at stop light after an hour or more of driving. This is ver intermittent issue. I have not taken it to dealer as i dont think they can replicate it. dy a
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? While parked, the rear defrost button was engaged. Shortly afterwards (1-2min) the backseat filled with smoke. I had my family immediately exit the vehicle and the rear window exploded. I checked the area and found an electrical wire draped over the rear passenger seat. It was melted and had clearly exploded up and over the seat. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk" Yes, had my children remained in the vehicle, they would have been sprayed with glass or burned from the electrical short. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No, however, I looked online and found this has happened to others. I called Ford service center and they informed me their were no recalls out on the truck. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No. However, Glass doctor performed the repair since Ford outsources their glass repair work Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear"
The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle began to shake and lost motive power. The contact was able to pull over and restart the vehicle however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that there were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed but not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
I just purchased the vehicle, used, from Lithia Hyundai in Fresno, CA, two months ago. On my first trip to the lake hauling a boat in tow haul mode my check engine light came on. As soon as I got back I took it to the Lithia Ford Dealership in Fresno, CA to get it checked as I had also purchased the extended warranty on it. They found that the Turbo needed to be replaced, which was covered under the warranty. As they were fixing the turbo they found that it also had a warped exhaust manifold and broken bolt. The warranty is refusing to cover this as they say they DO NOT cover bolts and since the bolt broke (which they claim) and caused the manifold to warp they won't cover it. In doing my research, I am finding out that this is a very common issue with the 3.5 liter ecoboost and I feel that this should become a recall item. if the exhaust were to leak into the cab, that is a definite safety hazard and should be looked into. Why are the bolts breaking, and why are so many exhaust manifolds warping in the F-150s? It is still currently in the shop and I am fighting with both the shop and the warranty to get it fixed since it should be covered under my bumper to bumper warranty.
Was driving about 60mph when I had sudden loss of power and vehicle RPMS shot up to 5000+ RPMS and gear selection indicator on dash started flashing 1st gear. No the vehicle was not in manual mode. This has happened several times before.
My truck recently has begun to go into limp mode, the engine loses 98% power and runs so rough it shakes. This has happened multiple times at highway speeds in heavy traffic leaving me and passengers very vulnerable to a rear end collision. The first couple of times by shutting the engine off it allows me to reset the Hill descent fault and service advance trac warning. The truck would return to normal operations. Today (8/30/2021) after multiple shut downs in a 5 mile trip the check engine light came on too. I have scheduled a appointment at Middleton Ford in Middleton WI. for September 9th (the soonest available) The truck will be dropped off on Thursday (9/1/2021). Thank You for all you do! UNKNOWN Gas mileage has plummeted from 19mpg highway/city Down to 12.5mpg Highway/City Hard starting is random so Very Hard to Catch for Auto Mechanics, new spark plugs, No Check Engine Lights, Multiple Mechanics both Dealership and 3rd Party cannot find anything wrong with the truck Fuel pump tested and is fine, O2 sensor either working properly or not telling the computer something is wrong Gas Mileage suddenly plummeted with no reason, nothing is telling the computer anything is wrong and nobody can find out why my gas mileage has plummeted so drastically with No Signs of Bad or Faulty Parts
I turned my defrost on in my 2016 ford f150, minutes after my truck smelt of burning wires and my rear glass shattered. There was no impact as i was still in my driveway.
When driven at highway speed for a while then coming to a stop the truck vibrates, shakes and idles roughly then stalls. It has been diagnosed by Ford as defective Variable Cam Timing Solenoids which have been replaced twice without fixing the problem. It continues to stall when at a stop or when starting out from a stop, like when crossing an intersection it dies in traffic suddenly. The check engine light is lit and it gets progressively worse until it is not reliably drivable
I started my 2016 f150 platinum ecoboost in the morning around (6:30am) on 6/18/21. The glass was fogged up from the night air so I turned rear and front defogger on to clear my glass and smell a instant strong burning smell and a loud pop which sent glass flying from the rear window. I immediately turned the vehicle off and got out. This is a common issue with Ford trucks and thankfully I didn-??t have my kids in the back seat as they would have been hit by flying glass.
