My brother was informed that there is a recall on the airbag in his truck. He went to the dealership and was told they do not have airbags to replace the one in his truck. I thought the dealership was to make the necessary repairs. I am not sure of the date by brother was informed but it was in 2017. So I am putting 01/02/2017 below.

I notified parks Chevrolet of the recall and they said they did have the bags on order and cannot make the replacements yet and will notify us when they come in.
Takata recall no parts available at dealers so we are sitting out here with time bombs. If Chevy in this case can't get parts, they need to make their own. This isn't rocket science, it's about $ vs lives. Force the mfgs to fix this problem and be liable for any injuries.
Takata recall--I have been trying to get my airbags fixed since the recall started and am told each time by the dealer that it has no parts. There are three recalled vehicles in my family, two Ford and this cheverolet. None has been fixed because the dealers state they do no have the parts. What are we to do?

Takata recall--I called (11/7/17) my Chevy dealership as soon as I received the "important legal notice for owners of vehicles with takata airbag inflators" to schedule an appointment per instruction on postcard. My Chevy dealer says the parts to repair the airbags are not available yet. The original recall letter came out in 2016. I am concerned as the postcard mentions personal injury or death. Please advise.
