Takata recall this from safercar.gov: If the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the NHTSA vehicle safety hotline at: 1-888-327-4236 or tty: 1-800-424-9153 or file an online complaint with NHTSA. I would like to complain that this issue has not been resolved. There has to be some solution that will help the owners of these vehicles instead of, let's see what happens to you and your loved ones. I would rather have no airbag than one with the probably of killing the people in the front seats, according to the warnings put out on these airbags. Deactivation of the airbag would be a better solution than doing nothing. Where is the common sense in this situation" if you or someone you love were behind the wheel of one of these vehicles, wouldn't you want someone to do something instead of taking the chance of getting murdered by something that is supposed to help save your life"
I received a recall notice July 2016. The Chevy dealership tells me there is still no remedy for this recall. I just received another notice that takata has filed bankruptcy and I need to take care of this immediately but Chevy still will not act on it until a remedy is available.

After talking to GM I am worried about driving my truck. They told me that I have bad air bags but they are not going to do anything about fixing it. This is wrong to let this to go on and nothing is being done about this unsafe problem. I am going to have my air bags unhooked so I feel driving my truck again I do not want to get hurt my an unsafe airbag. I am mad that the nstsa is not making my truck to be fixed by GM. GM put the airbags in they should take them out and replace them with safe airbags. Something has to done to make this unsafe airbag address and stop people from getting hurt. I am very upset about this. I got a card in the mail about my unsafe airbags in my truck but nothing is being done about it. Make GM fix this unsafe problem

Takata recall. Several months after the recall notice for my vehicle, the airbag warning light came on while driving and I was notified to immediately bring my vehicle in for service. Upon doing so, the service advisor charged me a diagnostic fee and notified me that the airbag needed to be replaced. Even considering the recall that was in place there was no provision for the dealership to correct the issue without full payment of approximately $1200. I declined to have the repairs made and the item is still defective to date, but I still was obligated to pay the diagnostic fees regardless of the outcome.
