Parked in parking on an attempt to crank and leave the power steering would not turn the vehicle and a message appeared stating power steering needs immediate attention and the anti skid light appeared as well as abs message. These messages may not be exact but my concern is if I attempt to drive and the power assist goes out and I cannot control my vehicle. I will say that I went back to where the vehicle was left parked attempt to drive after sitting 1-2 hours and the messages were gone and the power steering had returned.

While pulling into a gas station travelling no more than 10 mph the truck turned hard toward a gas pump island and crashed into the island barrier guard. After shutting down the engine and restarting I pulled the truck out of contact with the barrier. The ESC light is now on. It still drives but pulls hard to the right. I have contacted the local dealer that I will be using for repairs and will deliver it to their shop tomorrow. It has not been inspected yet. After the incident the ESC light was illuminated and still is.

Lost all power steering and brake pedal did not work properly. Could not steer vehicle at all even using both hands on steering wheel. I shut off the truck, turned it back on and "service power steering" light came on the dashboard. Steering did not work at all so I shut it off. Called dealer to report problem and left a message to call me back.( I did not hear back from the dealer.) After a short period of time, I restarted the truck and the service light was still on, but the steering and brakes were working so I drove it home. I took it to the dealership on Sept 5th to explain what happened. They pulled up 8 codes from the truck and made me an appt for sept 8th. They informed me that there was a wire chafing problem with this particular truck, but upon inspection on the 8th, they said they could not find a bad wire. They told me to drive it until it happens again! Not being able to steer or brake are DEFINITELY SAFETY issues !

On the dash display when shutting the vehicle down states "shift to park" and will not power down unless you constatntly move the vehicle backwards and forward multiple times before it powers down. This was replicated at the dealer and the shift assy was replaced under warranty in 1/21 but now 3/22 it is doing the same thing again. Dealer contacted says out of warranty contacted GM customer service case # 9-7518724528 and waiting on GM's position at this point this is a problem with many GM products per the internet and if it is not shifting to park becomes a safety issue GM has service bulletins listed on alldata but no recalls at this time

The ball joint for the front left tire broke while driving on a straight road and caused over $2,100 worth of damage to the wheel, axle, brake, etc. I had no warning or anything when this happened. It felt like my tire popped and when I pulled over, the wheel was still attached but was sitting at an awkward angle. The shop quoted me at $2,154 as there were 5 or 6 different parts they needed to repair including the ball joint, axle, brakes, brake sensors, rim, etc.

Event in Order: -AutoStart, failure -Started with key --??Action Required-?? - -??Steering Assist Is Reduced, Drive with Care-?? --??Service-?? - -??Trailer Brake System-?? --??dash panel information-?? not available -?" Fuel Economy and oil life --??Traction Control light on-?? -Put truck in reverse, gear not engaged, no response -Put truck in drive, worked, but steering very difficult and made vehicle not safe to drive and/or operate. This has happened to me once before but not to this extent, last was when I was driving and thankfully I was able to pull over and turn the vehicle off. It would not start after repeated attempts but finally started after and functioned normally. These events had not check engine lights and when serviced, the mechanics said they didn-??t see anything when scanned. OnStar diagnostics had no report when I had it active. I bought this truck less than 18,000 miles ago. Initially bought at 17,181 miles on Feb 22, 2021 and is now at 34,675 miles as of Oct 29, 2021. This is a safety concern as the steering fail can potentially lead to an accident if the truck can-??t be controlled. Traction control failure can lead to the vehicle becoming stalled in a dangerous situation. Brake systems can lead to unwanted breaking and/or being unable to break. This truck is a danger to operate. I do have video but, upload does not support MP4 format.

The contact owns a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that at start-up and occasionally while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel ceased to operate as designed. Additionally, the vehicle occasionally failed to respond when shifted into drive however, the reverse gear worked as designed. The power steering assist warning light was illuminated. The contact recently noticed that the rear driver's side seat belt was not stitched properly. The seat belt strap loosened while attempting to secure his child in the seat belt. Mtn view Chevy (310 E 20th St, chattanooga, tn 37408) was made aware of the failures and informed the contact that the vehicle was over the warranty coverage and there were no recalls associated with the failures. The manufacturer was made aware of the failures and opened a case but informed the contact that recalls were VIN specific and the VIN was not included in any recalls associated with the failures. The manufacturer referred the contact to an authorized dealer to have the vehicle diagnosed. The approximate failure mileage was 44,000. Invalid VIN.

Steering wheel became stuck in a left turn around 70mph, causing the truck to go from the right lane, across the left land and into the median. The dealer is currently investigating the issue. I was given a vehicle that has lane keeping assistance and noticed the steering wheel function with that feature is similar to what I felt in my truck, except, my truck does not have that feature.

Had my truck parked for 5 hours at my grandparents went to leave and had no power steering and the service power steering message came on the dash when I started it in the driveway. I checked the power steering fluid and it was full. So I turned the truck off and let it sit for a few minutes and started it back up again and power steering was still out. I turned the truck off again and let it sit for a few minutes started it back up and the power steering was still out but I was able to steer easier than before so I drove home. Also at the same time the service ESC message came on along with the light on the dash. The second time restarting the truck the service ESC message and light went away. The recall that was to fix this issue had already been completed on my truck. I have been having transmission issues as well where the truck will jerk into second gear and when slowing down from 2nd to first it will jerk again. Took it to the dealership and they said there was no bulletins on this and nothing they can do. I asked the service guy then why does the transmission shift rough if there is nothing wrong? I quote "the new transmissions in these trucks are supposed to shift that way".

The truck was driven to the store, it was parked for roughly 20 mins. There was no issue with driving to the store. Upon returning to the truck and starting it in the store parking lot the digital display indicated that power steering service was required and ESC service was required. After seeing this the driver tried to turn the wheel but had no power steering so they turned the truck off and let it sit for two minutes. The truck was restarted and the same fault information was displayed. The driver turned the vehicle off again, waited one to two minutes again, and restarted. The same faults were shown. The driver referenced the owners manual in an attempt to troubleshoot the problem. There was no solution in the manual. The truck was then driven back to the house 1.9 miles with no power steering. The truck was at the dealership service center and received services one week prior to this incident. The dealership did not say or show any faults during its services. Had this happened while the vehicle was moving and the driver did not have the strength to turn the wheel without assistance this could have been extremely dangerous.

2/19/2020, after already having other complaints on here. I was leaving the gym, and as I was pulling out of the parking space I needed to press the brakes, and had to stand on them to get it to stop. Steering was locked up and finally got it stop. I put it in park took pictures of the dash. Turned it off and started it back up, and check engine light was on.

I was in the parking lot at a grocery store in motion pulling out of a parking spot and my brakes and steering got very hard. I had to mash the brake pedal as hard as I could to get the truck to stop. It was hard to steer as well. There was lots of error messages and lights on. Service ESC, top speed 62mph, service trailer brake. Had to wait 30 minutes and start truck. It runs now but check engine light is on. This is the second time this has happened. This first time I was in a drive thru and had to push the truck out of the way. If this happened on the highway or a busy street it could be deadly. I am not comfortable driving this truck anymore.

ABS, ESC, trailer braking system continues to fail. I have had it in the shop three times for this defect. The truck has had 5 recalls, one for the seatbelt, four for the brakes. I drive a lot of miles in rough conditions and do not feel safe in this vehicle. My warranty is up in about 7000 and I don't want to be stuck with this unsafe vehicle.

On 1/10/20, I was driving home on a major freeway. Just before 5:00 pm I hit traffic and slowed down to roughly 5-10 mph. At that moment my dashboard lit up and a notification stating, "brake system failure" and "service ESC" popped up on my dash. At that point I was unable to stop when applying my brakes. Luckily I had a large enough space between my truck and the car in front of me as well as the two lanes beside me having an opening and I was able to get over and coast to a complete stop on the shoulder. Extremely dangerous electronic malfunction. Had I lost my brakes 10 second sooner I would have been unable to stop and caused a potentially fatal car accident.

Service ABS, service ESC, and "brake failure 62mph speed limited" lights come on and brake pedal goes to the floor with very very limited braking. Recall for brake control module reprogramming was completed on 1/03/20. Drove truck 1.5 limes and lights came back on and brake pedal went to the floor, steering also became stiff. This was always while driving the vehicle. Has happened on 4 different occasions
