I had a recall performed at a dealership and they confirmed the vehicle is running properly. I noticed that the next day my lane keep assist was turned off and not functioning. Later that same day when approaching a stop sign, I noticed that 4 warning messages appeared on my dash. The first said power steering assist disable, the next service ESC, the next trailer brake disabled, the next vehicle limited to 62mph.

On 12/26/2019 at 05:40 am, I got in my truck (2019 Silverado lt Allstar) and started the engine. I immediately received multiple warning messages on my dash panel. They were "service ESC", "brake system failure" "steering assist reduced" and to drive no faster than 62 mph. Prior to parking the night before on 12/25/2019 I had never had any problems whatsoever. On 12/26/2019 I was heading to work but found quickly that the brake pedel went all the way to the floor with very limited or basically no braking. The steering became very difficult with no apparent power assist.

Weird brake and steering feel while driving. Speed did not exceed 35 mph in neighborhood driving. Dic read: Brake system failure max speed 62 mph service ESC trailer brake system failure. Brake pedal was hard to push and unresponsive at times. Felt like we were dragging the back end at times. Steering was inconsistent. Parking brake was off. Stopped and started 3 times, reset the vehicle a few times. Prior to a big downhill, the last restart cleared the issue and the brake pedal went to the floor. Drove home and parked. To be honest, felt unsafe to drive especially with my son and wife in the car. Luckily we only had a short 3 miles home. Check engine light on onstar report received in email

Truck is 8 months old, less than 10K miles on it. Steering locked up backing out of my driveway. ESC warnings, and various other electrical warnings. Dealer stated it needs steering column or gear as they saw the codes and do not want me to drive the vehicle. Vehicle has been at dealer since November 1st (45 days and counting) GM has stated part should ship the week of December 30th... even if it goes well this will be 60 days in a row without my truck! definitely should be compensated for this. Roadside assistance was 2 hours late, dealership gave away loaner, then when I got a loaner dealership asked me to bring it back within a week because they sold the loaner... now driving a small SUV instead of my big truck. Hmmmm.

I leased this brand new 2019 Chevy Silverado 1500 on September 16th, 2019. On November 22, 2019, I lost power steering while backing out of my driveway. I was unable to turn the wheel, and the service ESC, trailer brake steering assist reduced message appeared. The steering did not come back until I shut the truck off and restarted it. I took the truck in the same day to the dealer to be serviced after this alarming event. When given to the dealer it only had 1,647 miles on it. It remains at the dealer do to my safety concerns. I do not feel safe driving it.

Started truck and power steering was not working restarted truck several times no change. Drove truck about ten miles to home. Texted dealer to say that I would be dropping the truck for service. Started the truck and everything was back to normal. Took the truck to dealer and left it. Only had the truck two weeks around 400 miles. Really concerned what would have happened if this occurs while driving down the road. This is a new vehicle. This needs to be recalled and fixed!!

My truck has an issue when at low speeds 30mph and under all check warning lights will come on my ESC (electric steering control) will come on when this happens I loose power steering and when that happens the steering wheel returns to center. This has happened three times since buying the vehicle new I had not had the vehicle for a month when all the issue started to happen. When I loose the power steering the power for brakes go out as well I have almost been in an accident because of this it's a very scary situation when it happens. After all the warning lights would come on, power running boards would also cycle up and down on there own, the only light that would stay on was: Service trailer brake system.

The vehicle was stationary and had just been started. The following warnings appear on my display, 1) 'action required, steering assist is reduced dive with care'. 2) 'service, trailer brake system' 3) traction control / ESC light appears on dash. At this point the steering wheel cannot be turned. I called onstar to run diagnostics. A code of U0100 is stored. Errors will continue for 20 - 30 minutes and then go away. After that the truck is back to normal until it happens again. I have owned the truck for 2 1/2 months and seems to happens once a month so far.

Pulling out of a gas station onto a highway my dash display showed "service power steering drive with care" I noticed I had no power assist to my steering and the steering was extremely hard to steer at best. I also received the message "service ecs" at this point I had little control of the direction the vehicle was going and managed to pull over. I also noticed the following functions stopped working, cruise control, traction control, lane assist, auto stop, etc. I let the vehicle sit about 20 minutes and restarted. No errors remained and I went on my way. Scary situation to be in on a highway.

A warning dash board notice 'service steering column lock'appeared the very day we test drove the truck.and has not been abled to be repaired/corrected.GM has my truck for more than 50 days. GM can't guarantee me that the steering wheel will not lockup while driving down the road.with that statement I consider this a unsafe vehicle to drive. And as of today's date GM and their dealership can figure this problem.I requested that GM repurchase the unsafe truck back, I only have this truck about 8days out of 60.
