Takata recall- my vehicle has had a recall on the takata airbag component since February of 2016. I just received information about this recall on 2/20/2017 when I went to the dealership where I signed a lease agreement for the car. I wanted to return the car because of the danger in driving the vehicle. They advised me that there was nothing they could do because of the recall. This airbag recall gives information regarding a defective airbag component that could possibly injure or cause death to the driver. I am not comfortable driving the vehicle and want this fixed. Please help. I'm not sure what to do at this point because this vehicle is leased and the vendor will not allow me to turn it back in because of the recall.
My vehicle has been awaiting the fix since April 2016 and because this is a company vehicle we can not use it. We have lost ten months of use and need to have this rectified immediately.
