Driving to the ups brake malfunction light came, engine light came on, traction control off light on, vehicle lost power, able to only move 1 mile an hour, brake malfunction light also said brake override, advise bring to dealer. Luckily I was a hundred feet away from the Toyota dealer when this happened living in a small town. Turn on my hazard lights and drove into Toyota dealership.

This Tacoma SR5 is brand new, about 4700 miles on it so far. Noticing a lot of hesitation between the 35-60 mph. After weeks of taking the vehicle back to savannah Toyota, its the torque converter. The vehicle has slow pick up and hard acceleration from a stop to position. Toyota says it's normal, but several other owners are having the same problem. I have attached the service order to the complaint.

After purchasing a 2019 Tacoma trd off-road it developed a rubbing noise. My first two complaints were brushed off. On my third complaint I was informed of a tsb related to bad axles. The tsb doesn't pertain to the trd trims but only the SR5 and lower. The axles have been replaced twice and still have noise. The truck has been in the shop since they started repairs. The third axle has been ordered. The mechanics from Toyota stated that it usually takes about 6 new axles until the problem is corrected. Noise was only noted at low speeds.

I notice that my Tacoma 2019 SR5 vibrate when I'm braking from 20mph to 0. I don't know if it is a brake problem or the transmission when it shifting down on gear.

Having issue with the truck 'lurching and jerking" with rpms fluctuationing between 500 and 1000. This happens primarily in reverse with your foot on the brake with steady prussure. I had an uncomfortable incident with a woman in the supermarket parking lot. She saw that I had stopped to let her pass behind me when the truck took a short hop backwards. She was not happy. She took my plate # and said that she was going to file a complaint with the local pd. I have taken the truck to the local dealer and the old standard answer, " its normal".the tech that evaluated my truck verified that it was in fact lurching.. I think its a safety issue and have opened a claim with Toyota care. This is not a new issue as there are several written concerns in the Tacoma forums and on social media. I would hate to see someone get injured. I am not an automotive technician but I believe this possibly may be a software issue between the throttle control and onboard computer

This Tacoma SR5 is brand new, about 400 miles on it so far. Noticing a lot of hunting by the transmission to find a gear it is happy with for a given speed and terrain. But the most concerning issue is that it pulses hard when slowing to a stop. Thought it was the brake rotors at first, but I put the transmission in neutral while braking, and braking in neutral works very smoothly. Seems more like the torque converter doesn't want to disengage. Also notice a whistling sound from the rear when accelerating thru approx 40mph. Will be taking it in to the dealer soon to have these things checked. I love the truck otherwise, and was planning to own this vehicle for 10+ yrs, but this is not a good start.

It has happened 3 times. Mainly when I'm stopped and then trying to turn. I have my foot on the accelerator but it just won't go. It's a few seconds, then the truck will finally go. It only has about 200 miles on it. 2019 Tacoma sr. I could get rear ended or block the road if I get stalled! unsafe

For no reason at all my 2019 Toyota Tacoma SR5 stalled and displayed a "high transmission temp warning". this occurred when picking up my child from school. The truck would not shift and the breaks did not function I had to use ebrake to not hit other vehicles, and was stuck in the middle of the school parking lot with my two young children in AZ heat. I waited awhile after turning the truck off and shifting to park then turned vehicle back on and it then functioned as normal. I then took the Tacoma to avondale Toyota, for a diagnosis and repair. So far they have made no repairs as they said they could not replicate the problem and are on day two of having the vehicle testing it to see if it will have issue again. This could be a very dangerous situation if the situation was to occur on a highway or interstate or in the middle of 115 degree weather. Since this happened me and my family feel uneasy every time we take the vehicle anywhere. I'm hoping that this issue does not happen again and either resolves itself or Toyota fixes it. That is the reason I purchased a Toyota their reputation of reliability, but with less than 300 miles on this vehicle with this issue I hope I do not regret this decision.

For no reason at all my 2019 Toyota Tacoma SR5 stalled and displayed a "high transmission temp warning". this occurred within a few blocks of leaving my home. A tow was necessary to get the truck to autonation Toyota, clearwater for diagnosis and repair. Autonation made no repairs as they said they could not replicate the problem. An online search revealed this high transmission temp warning and stalling has been occurring on Tacoma and Tundra for the last 5 years. This could pose a very dangerous situation if the stall occurred on a highway or interstate. I'm sure Toyota is aware of the problem, but likely have kept quiet about it. Since this happened I feel uneasy every time I take the vehicle anywhere. I'm hoping NHTSA can help to resolve this safety issue.

Cruise control slams on brakes, when in opposing lane of another car. On the same side of the road, on the interstate at, 70 miles an hour, then the cruise control, floors the throttle to around, 5,000 RPM's. then the driveshaft has vibration, around 44 - 45miles an hour, also vibrates in certain RPM ranges. Which franklin Toyota, gladly told me, it's just a characteristic of the truck. When I know that it's not, another thing truck sometimes gets stuck in certain RPM ranges, like 3,000 rpms, at 55 miles an hour, then when you go up a hill, it feels like transmission is slipping only have 1,800 miles on it, this truck sucks terribly, oh and the driver's side window, gas developed, a rattle after about 1600 miles, not too happy with my purchase, feel like I got ripped off. Will never buy another Toyota. And the best part I'm paying 35,000 $ over a 6 year period for this piece of junk. Toyota it seems makes nothing but clunkers

I purchased and drove a brand new 2019 Toyota Tacoma trd off road 4X4 6'bed off the lot, with only ten miles on it. I was driving on the interstate back to my hometown and was broken down on the side of the road at 236 miles. While driving on the interstate, the RPM odometer gauge suddenly began to jump rapidly while the vehicle simultaneously lost power and speed and the whole vehicle lurched forward abruptly a few times. I pulled over immediately. I turned off the vehicle. Turned it back on, and it lurched forward and was clearly not drivable so I turned it back off. At no point did any check engine light or warning signals go off on the vehicle either while driving or after having pulled over. It was three hours before roadside assistance got a tow truck to arrive. Upon loading the vehicle onto the tow truck, it was clear that transmission fluid was leaking in large quantities as it was visibly pooled where it had been parked, had leaked all over the underside of the vehicle and continued to pour out all over the tow truck bed. The service department at the nearest Toyota dealership where the tow truck had delivered the vehicle to later inspected the vehicle and informed me that a manufacturer seal had failed causing the transmission to leak and that the entire transmission needed to be replaced. This vehicle should have never passed quality assurance/quality control and should never have left the manufacturer. This vehicle's final assembly point was listed as baja California, Mexico.

While driving on cruise control the engine shifts to a higher gear for no reason resulting in higher gas usage. I also noticed while having the radar on while on adaptive cruise control, the vehicle will automatically "slam" the brakes for no reason resulting me in a bad situation due to traffic. The system engages the brakes for no reason even though the vehicle that the system is detecting is not even close to me in the front. Please fix this cruise control issue

From day one the Tacoma vibrates and shutters when breaking. The dealership said that Toyota would not look at it until I drove 1,500 miles first. The first time I brought in to the dealership they said they could not find anything wrong and it was ok. The second time I brought it to the dealership they said they had to shave the front rotors and sand the brake pads. The third time I brought it to the dealership they said it had defective rear bent axles and they had to replace those components. I understand Toyota has been aware of these issues for several years.

While driving the truck at normal speed 45+ miles and slowing down vehicle has severe vibration felt through out the car. It gets worst when braking slowly as it comes to a stop. Its felt on the steering wheel, brake pedal, seats as well as through out the entire truck. Took it to the dealership and they said it's normal but I have never felt this on any Toyota. I have worked for Toyota for many years and to have the dealership telling me this is normal is just crazy. I believe it's coming from the drive shaft or rear axle area but by me fixing my own truck is not going to resolve anything. Therefore I am writing to you to see if you can try to resolve this issue. This issue has been going on from the day 1 of the purchase and getting worse. Thank you
