Takata recall, I received notification of this recall over a year ago. May of 2016. I live in a hot, humid area. Toyota suggests that no one ride in my passenger seat. Am I really not supposed to let anyone ride in my front seat for over a year" I realize this is a large recall. But I do not plan to get rid of my 4runner any time soon. How long is this supposed to take"
Takata recall: Have been waiting for over a year for a remedy. Have not been able to use the front passenger seat for all of that time. Have called Toyota directly on 03/08/17 (case # 1703082418) and contacted my local dealer on multiple occasions only to discover they still had no solution to the issue. Got tired of waiting and wanted to purchase a new vehicle that my family can ride in together. Went to trade in this vehicle on 07/01/17 and the dealer undercut my fair trade in price by $5,000 stating the outstanding recall was a danger to a future owner and that they couldn't sell the vehicle with a known safety hazard. Extremely frustrated that Toyota hasn't found a solution to this known issue for over a year. Now it's cost me thousands of dollars.

Takata recall: Airbag was recalled May 23, 2016. We have contacted Toyota and been told there is still no remedy for the recall. It has been 11 months that we have not been able to use our front passenger seat safely. I think nearly a year is plenty of time to remedy the recall and no end is in sight. It is more than an "inconvenience" at this point. We would like it fixed now, it has been nearly a year.

Takata recall- no incident has occurred however we are filing a complaint due to the unacceptable amount of time to have the recall corrected. Recall notice sent over a year ago advising us not to have a passenger riding in the front passenger seat of the car due to problem with airbag which can lead to serious injury or death. Nothing has been done to resolve this. We should have the airbag and all related components replaced and/or repaired immediately.

Takata recall: On July 15, 2016 we received a letter from Toyota regarding the recall or our passenger side airbag. It is now 8 months later and their recall website still says there is no remedy for this. Meanwhile, I've seen news reports that takata pleaded guilty for this fraud and there were Toyota executives that knew about these faulty airbags at the time the deal was made. We have waited long enough for this fix. Please notify us as soon as this remedy if available for our vehicle!
It has been over 8 months and my car is still not fixed. I am still unable to have my full family ride in my car, as no one can sit in the front passenger seat. Toyota Corp and the local Toyota dealership are refusing to provide me a loaner vehicle unless I sign a form indicating that I will keep my car in my garage and not use it. Why can I not drive my own car, by myself, with no one in the passenger seat, like I am doing now? I am only needing the loaner for my full family. I should be able to drive my own care by myself, freely. I refuse to sign such a waiver; however, it has been over 8 months and we need a family car. I have left several messages for Toyota Corp and for my local dealership. No one is assisting me with this.
