We received a recall on this Dodge truck. We called many dealers including the dealer we bought it from fisher Dodge yuma AZ. There are no parts available for this recall and found out its going to be 2 months min. This truck is our only transportation, what are we suppose to do...we are in Arizona and we live in Idaho. As far as I can tell this truck is unsafe and we should not be driving it without the fix for the recall...we are 70 years old, this stress is a killer....we have to use our truck or we have no way to get around at all, what do you expect us to do and how can Dodge get away with this....you know as well as I do that when the parts are available there will be too many trucks to fix all at once. When we go back to Idaho we pull a cargo trailer, this is horrible!!!!!!!!!! how can this be allowed to happen...we do not have another vehicle and each time we drive this truck we are going to worry if the left tie rod ball stud on our truck is going to fracture and lose directional control and crash without warning"??" how many people could that kill if that happened on the highway, including ourselves. Dodge should be ashamed of themselves and spend what ever is necessary to fix this terrible problem now...not months from now....we ask for you to help us! we are in limbo in Arizona!

Had right front tire replaced at 25,000 miles due to wear. In January, 2014, rec'd notice from Chrysler to take vehicle in for parts replacement to prevent wreck. Service dept at dealer said 'park it unsafe to drive..be 10-12 wks before part can be secured to replace'..called the recall people they said 'only 1 part per week going to dealerships to repair 2008-2012 model vehicles in the 1500, 2500, 3500 series trucks..went to dealership on Jan 27, 2014, they proclaimed not to know the rate of repairs parts available..said they called and found out same info I had..but they wanted to work a deal to get us out of the unsafe truck and into a newer truck with no defaults..same price, etc as truck currently..didn't work that way today, January 28 when we returned for figures..new truck would cost $11,000 more than what we now owe on the 2012..so we nixed the deal, but we still have truck unsafe to drive because Chrysler won't provide the parts to make the vehicles safe..
I received a safety recall notification Dec 2013 letting me know I needed to contact a Dodge dealer starting 1.6.14 to schedule a service appointment for the repair. Recall is for the left tie rod ball stud which may fracture and cause a loss of directional control and or crash without warning. 1.6.14 I emailed the Dodge dealer in carson city, nv 1.7.14 I called the Dodge dealer in carson city, nv and was told I was number 60 in a line for this recall and no parts have arrived to date. 1.7.14 I called the Chrysler group recall assistance center and was told no parts have shipped yet and there is no timeline set for getting parts to dealers. 1.24.14 I left a message at the Dodge dealer in carson city, nv. My call was returned and I was told no parts have arrived yet and I am still number 60 in line for the repair. Obviously, I am concerned about the potential for a loss of directional control. I am looking at getting assistance on how we can help Dodge speed up the recall repair process.

Received a recall in December 13V529000 dated 11/06/2013 on my Ram 3500: Took to dealer for inspection and the truck is one with the defective part. Dealer states that the parts are not available for repair and no estimated time of receipt, (put on list) at jeff wyler cdj in lawrenceburg, in. 47025.. this seems like a situation where NHTSA should step in and protect the public from this potential loss of steering and possible loss of life due to Chrysler group llc.'s lack of concern for their customers. They should provide vehicles to the owners for use until they comply with the prescribed repairs of these ticking time bombs.

Received recall notice (N49) in November. Called dealer multiple times to make appt for tie rod replacement and was told each time to call back in a few weeks to see if parts were available. Called Chrysler and was told that there was no time frame in which the parts would be available.
