I purchased this truck new in 2018. I soon started having problems with very hard shifting and slamming into gear. It has been to the shop and diagnosed and continues to do it. They cant seem to fix it. My ABS lights and alarm are sounding non stop. This happened within 5 miles of my warranty being up. I did diagnostics and they wont cover it and want to charge me 1500 plus i have to wait 8 months for the part. This is an ABS issue and a safety issue! I also get the DEF failure notice telling me its going into limp mode. This has happened multiple times. I still only have 36k miles on it. I was told this ABS issue was now covered and the factory is doing extended warranties based on these problems. But the dealership says they know noting about it and that i have to bring it back in AGAIN to diagnose which i have to pay for AGAIN. I hate this truck and i have had nothing but problems and no one will help.
ABS light comes on, antil lock brakes no longer work and Cruise inoperable. The ABS/HCU module has gone bad again, the dealer has replaced it 2x already. This is the third time it has happened and vehicle has 25989 miles. Dealer states this is a KNOWN issue and parts to repair are unavailable, .
My truck throws a abs traction control failure code. This happened in 2022 and was fixed by the dealer because my truck was still under warranty. The hydraulic control module was replaced and the abs control module was replaced. I have just received the same error lights on my truck again on 09/27/24. My abs and traction control are disabled. This has to be a faulty design or bad part. My truck is now out of warranty. There is no way this issue should have happened twice on a truck this new unless MOPAR is making or using bad parts
When driving the ABS and Traction Control caution lights illuminate. I went to the dealership and they said it was a bad ABS pump and was a little over $1200 to replace. The truck only has 24k miles on it.

ABS light and traction control keeps coming on. Dealer says there is no recall. If you look through the Internet, you-??ll find thousands of complaints of this issue. I find this to be a major safety problem, I haul a heavy trailer with this truck and if my ABS and traction control fails, this is very dangerous.
At approx 24K miles my RAM 2500 had an intermittent anti lock brake/ stability control malfunction and displayed a "Service Brake System" message randomly while driving. The issue was "fixed" under warranty. Currently my RAM has 54K miles on it and the issue has reappeared. I know their is a safety recall that exist for 2019 and newer trucks but believe the problem may exist on trucks built prior as well. Either way, an intermittent anti lock brake/ stability control malfunction seems to exist on the 2018 models, and based on info posted on RAM forums, it is a common malfunction.
ABS failure which also turn traction control off. My safety and the public in general is at risk if my brakes lock up on a slippery road, especially if towing. The problem was confirmed by my mechanic, parts are impossible to get. Tons and tons of complaints online and in forums.
Receiving the "Anti-lock brake system Warning" comes on frequently. Once cleared, the sensor or module either fails again, or provides the erroneous warning. Happens frequently, at least once every 1-15 miles, whether vehicle is moving or not. Dealer mechanic says this is a known problem with 2018-22 Ram trucks. New replacement modules are not available, and those who have had them replaced reported reoccurring problem within a year.
Thai dang ABS going out in these trucks. And still no fix. Went out when going down the high way. Kicked out Cruze co trip 4 we and all sensors. Almost died this is crap that nothing is being done to fix this and get a part that fixes this for the customers that bought these trucks. I have a 50k truck I can-??t drive. Have not driven it-??s in almost a year now. SOMETHINGS NEEDS DONE
Abs module failure causing cruise control shutdowns and potentially causing an accident as well as transmission issues. Yes it-??s been confirmed by an independent shop. Not by any others. No warning before just straight failure. Vehicle is available currently for inspection if wanted
Service electronic braking system / service ABS light comes on and off when driving on on bumpy roads and when turning. It usually stays on which disables traction and it has cause me to almost spin out when accelerating in wet conditions.
Abs mod and pump wet bad around 30,000 miles. I replace both and now 2 years later and 52,000 both parts are bad again. Looks to me there is a problem they haven't fix and keep selling parts that they know is going to fail. This is not a cheap fix and something needs to be done about
Truck is experiencing a what started as a intermittent and not constant failure of the ABS and Traction control with flashing lights and constant chimes. Making the vehicle dangerous to drive.
My ABS light came on and then shortly later I noticed that my stability control system was disabled and its warning light came on. I also lost the ability to use my cruise control. Took vehicle to the dealer and they determined that the ABS Control unit needed to be replaced. They trouble shot the issue and replaced the ABS Hydraulic Control unit. This repair is for the same recall as 85B for Ram 1500's.
Service electronic braking system continues to flash along with Service Antilock brake system--This is a failure of the HCU (hydrolic control unit) that should be a RECALL. Thousands of people are having the same issue.
Internal fault in hydraulic control unit. They are replacing this when the part comes in. Have no antilock brakes or cruise control. If that doesn't fix it, then they will replace the module.
Continually getting ABS warning and "Service electronic brake system soon" warning. Electronic Stability Control suddenly shuts off without warning to include cruise control if engaged. ABS and ESC lights remain on most of the time with constant chiming. This is a widely known problem. Recall just came out for later model years but not these.
