I was driving about 40mph in a heavy rain storm with the wipers on. The wipers failed and stopped up on the windshield. I could not get them to respond on any wiper setting. The headlights would still respond when turning the wiper switch on so the driver switch appeared to work. I had the BCM codes pulled and it showed the wiper park switch circuit shorted to ground. This was a very dangerous failure.

Driver's visor broke while driving, it fell into the vision path dangling by the power cables. Upon inspection only plastic holds the metal rod in place, no grommet or snap washer is used at the end of the rod to secure it in the ceiling mount; the rod that extends into the base is free to fall out once the plastic breaks. Visor does not free fall to floor, but remains swinging in front of driver, resulting in severe distraction and having to fight to break the wiring free to remove it quickly. Plastic broke during normal use swinging the visor normally, possibly binding in the mount led to this, as the plastic remaining does not easily swivel. Pictures of mount and visor rod attached.

#1 complaint- the panoramic sunroof sounds like it isn't fully shut when at higher speeds (80+) and whenever there are crosswinds. I took it to the dealer and they said they currently have three other customers with the same complaint and that there wasn't a fix currently. #2 complaint- a clip to the sliding rear window to the bed of the truck (picture provided) has broken twice by just opening up the window from the drivers seat. Took it to the dealer the first time and it was fixed. Not even a week later, the same part broke a second time. Will be taking it back into the dealer soon. #3 complaint- there's a clunking noise coming from the front left suspension area when certain sized bumps or holes are hit while driving at lower speeds. I took it into the dealer and they said that's a know problem, but that there wasn't a fix currently.

When turning on the defrost in the morning the driver side windshield becomes completely obstructed by fog while the passenger side is clear. Typically takes 15 minutes before the windshield will clear. This is occurring in Florida during the mornings. It has occurred while driving and while sitting in the driveway.

With the HVAC system set to dash vents, air is allowed to blow through the defrost vents causing fogging on the windshield, many mornings this fogging is severe and impedes my ability to view other cars/pedestrians on the road. This has been happening since I purchased the vehicle in Dec '18. To date Ram has not issued a recall, or service bulletin for this. Many other 2019 Ram 1500 owners are experiencing the same issue.

Doesn't matter if truck is moving or stationary, the defrost will clear the passenger side. I have not had this truck during the winter, but this would be greatly problematic and dangerous if occurred during the winter.

The contact owns a 2019 Ram 1500. The contact stated that the windshield wipers moved slowly while driving in a storm. The contact could not see the road due to the water on the windshield. The contact had to wait for the storm to pass as the windshield wipers continued to move slowly. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer and dealer were not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 424.

Even though the defrost system seems to put out plenty of heat the fan or the way the windshield is designed, when it is cold out and/or I am traveling at a decent speed the defroster does not keep the windshield clear. It affects aprox. The last couple of inches that the wipers reach and then everything above that. This then affects the auto wiping option. There is a recall for basically this exact issue NHTSA campaign # 19V051000 but it does not include my model of vehicle. It affects the Ram 1500 that have the 12" screen but do not have dual climate control. My vehicle has the 12' screen but does have dual climate control. The date listed below is just a general date. This issue would happen when it was raining/snowing and it was cold or close to freezing temps

2019 Ram 1500 classic. Every time small rock hits the windshield it will chip it. Guaranteed. I already have 6 chips in 3 months of ownership and 3000 mostly local-driving miles. This never happened on any other vehicle I owned or have driven

When the temperature is "cold" (36 degrees and below) the backup camera does not work. The screen displays a completely blue screen when the backup camera engages (when reversing, or when selecting the backup camera view intentionally). This happens when in parked, when in reverse, and while driving when the temperature is 36 degrees or below. I do not know the exact temperature when the camera starts/stops working, but it has happened to me at least 5 times, and on the days I recorded it the temperature was 36 degrees, and 35 degrees. It does not happen when the temperature is in the 40S or higher.
