V08 aem recall performed on 6/4/19. Post recall, loss in fuel economy, reduced power especially when towing, and severe turbo lag lasting four to seven seconds. The severe turbo lag is causing unsafe conditions while driving vehicle. The lack of acceleration when the accelerator pedal is pressed is present when starting from a complete stop, as well as at varying travel speeds. It is especially dangerous when making left and right turns on city streets or when merging into highway traffic, because there is little to no acceleration of the vehicle, even under full throttle for between four and seven seconds. The lag is severe even at full operating temperatures above 200 degrees. These issues were not present in the vehicle prior to the V08/aem recall. The manufacturer has insisted that this is normal operation of the vehicle after the V08 aem recall, but the vehicle operated without these issues before the work was completed.

After an emissions recall was performed on eco diesel engine (ECM update) the engine has become terribly sluggish on initial takeoff. I can push the gas petal to the floor and nothing happens for several seconds. I feel that this is a safety concern because there is inconsistent engine performance that could cause an accident.

Fuel sensor failure. The sending unit which measures fuel level failed while in motion. Check engine light came on. The fuel tank had to be dropped to replace the sensor. A quick search of online forums revealed many have this issue. Without knowing how much fuel is in the tank, one could be left stranded.

Another Ram ecodiesel post-aem safety concern. Did the aem recall and instantly became a safety hazard in traffic. Extreme throttle lag of 4+ seconds, even if flooring it. Too many close calls to list myself and I don't let me wife drive unless absolutely necessary (it was supposed to be her truck!!). recall may be monetary and such but the issue is a safety problem and will result in much larger issues. I've worked as a risk management safety officer; this will lead to a bigger problem. Epa or not, this "aem fix" is wrong! please please please get involved and force a recall to fix the lack of throttle response on these vehicles. For what its worth, I found out that I am not eligible for any of the claim $$ because my truck was built in Canada. God bless the american Ram badge, huh!

The day I purchased this vehicle, literally on the drive home on the highway after signing the paperwork, the fuel gauge suddenly dropped to empty and the check engine light came on and the message center indicated a "fuel sensor fail".. I pulled over to the side of the road and as soon as I stopped, the gauge rose back to 3/4 tank and the issue didn't present itself again for a couple months. Now, every time I fill the tank, the fuel gauge drops to empty right about the time it should read 3/4 tank and starts working again at about 1/4 tank. There are so many other complaints spread out over so many model years, I can't understand how this hasn't generated a recall. I purchased this vehicle used with just over 36,000 miles on it. I now have just under 41,000 miles on the odometer and have no idea just how much fuel is in the vehicle.

My vehicle was part of a recent ecodiesel settlement that required a recall and re-flash of the vehicles ECM. Fca stated that the recall re-flash would not affect the vehicles performance. That is not the cash. My vehicle now has a severe throttle hesitation when starting from a stop. Pulling into or merging into existing traffic has become extremely dangerous. I have been experiencing this condition since the recall was completed.

Since the fca ECM re-flash, my truck turbo lag is now deadly, when the engine gets past the turbo lag it will smoke the tires, but don't back off or you start all over again with turbo lag. Ive pulled out into traffic and waited for the lag to catch up, nearly being hit almost every time I drive it. Forget driving up hills. Someone is going to get killed. If it had driven like this when I test drove it, I never would have bought it! my family has literally yelled watch out dad! when I try to pull into even mild traffic from a stop.

Takata recall I have a 2016 Dodge Ram 1500 with 33000 miles on it.the other day my gas light came so I pulled off to the side of the road thinking I had a leak because I just filled up the day before then I got a message on the dash that said fuel sensor fail so I went on the internet and found out it is a very common known problem that Dodge hasn't done anything to fix after reading up on it I fully believe that this problem should be recalled and resolved

I have a 2016 Ram ecodiesel that had no performance issues prior to the recall. It is now very sluggish, lacks power and is slow getting to speed, also hunts/searches for gears. It has become a safety hazard when accelerating to merge into traffic. I have logged a complaint with fca and my case number is #59458742.

There was a nationwide recall on the ecodiesel engine due to a class-action lawsuit. The repair was made and now the truck does not accelerate until the engine warms up. This is very dangerous as you pull out into traffic and the truck does not go. I have almost been hit as truck stalls and then accelerates a full 4-5 seconds later. I will not let anyone else drive my truck now due to this danger. In checking with other owners everyone who has the "update" done per the lawsuit is having the same dangerous problem. To be specific, when the engine is cold, you hit the accelerator, the truck does not accelerate for 4-5 seconds. This causes you to roll slowly into oncoming traffic.

After having the emission recall competed on my 2016 Ram 1500 ecodiesel I am experiencing major power loss in certain operating conditions. This condition includes reduced throttle response when accelerating from a stop after cold starting. Since this recall there is significant lag in the throttle leading to traffic having to slow down because I'm not accelerating. I can push the throttle to the floor and there is very little RPM increase. This issue happens after every cold start and there is a larger lag if the air conditioner is on. This throttle lag only started occurring after the recall was performed and has occurred regularly since.

Fuel level sensor failure, causes fuel gauge to read zero and check engine light to come on. First gauge will read incorrectly then fall to just reading zero, happens in all conditions of driving and vehicle running. Its a known issue for the Ram 1500. Requires fuel pump assembly to be replaced as the sensor is built into the fuel pump assembly.

Received a recall to install aem computer update. Since the update I have been experiencing acceleration delays from a stop there is a 3-5 sec delay in acceleration. This is a safety hazard trying to merge I had to pull to the side of the road a # of times to avoid a rear end accident. In addition my gas mileage has also been decreased from an average of 18-20 mpg down to 14-16 mpg. This problem after the aem update must be correct quickly as driving the vehicle has become dangerous.

Filled up my fuel tank and as you drive down the road your fuel gage continues to go up and down. Then your low fuel light goes off. Then you get a fuel level sensor code that comes up on the dash. These warnings buzzers continue to go off regardless if the tank is full.

"eco diesel emissions update, " upon having my truck ECM flashed with the court settlement emission update, I have observed severe power loss. To the point of 4-5 seconds of delay when initially pulling out in to traffic on any road or highway. Very sluggish and has almost caused me to have an accident. This started immediately after the update. My truck drove fine before the update.

I was accelerating to enter highway I35 in san antonio when my dashboard lit up with multiple flashing lights. Check engine, low fuel indicator, fuel sensor failure error code, along with the ringing alarm that there was no fuel. I am now in the middle lane of I35 traveling 65 mph and trying to figure out should I risk cutting back across the traffic I just merged with to exit before I get stranded in the middle lane, or risk running out of fuel and exit the next exit more safely. I chose to cut off the traffic so that I didn't risk getting stranded in the middle of the highway. This was dangerous, and I am glad I didn't have my kids in the truck with me. These faulty fuel sensors that are on the fuel pumps need redesigned. Mopar should be held responsible before real tragedy happens.

Truck has 25,200 miles on it and has fuel sensor failure alarm. After reading some information with other owners, they all have the same problem with their Ram pickup. Evidently this happens anywhere from 5,000 miles and up. It is a $1000 repair when not under warranty. I believe this should be a recall item covered after the warranty expires. Some people had the repair 2 or more times. I was driving up the road when the fuel gauge said empty and it's full
