I am having the same problem as hundreds of others. GM continues to ignore the safety of their consumers. I have an 07 Pontiac G6 and while driving on the freeway the power steering light illuminated and the steering became very tight, jerky, and hard to control. It is a miracle I was able to get off the busy freeway without causing an accident. This is the exact same problem other G6 vehicles are having and most have been recalled in campaign 15V064000. The 2007 and my VIN have not been recalled and who but GM knows why they are putting people in danger. There are close to 200 complaints on the NHTSA alone with people having the same problem with the same year. Why on earth is GM refusing to repair these cars like they are doing on other years of the same make and model. This was a dangerous situation to me, and the innocent drivers around me. GM needs to own up to their mistakes and include the rest of the VIN numbers that are having the same issue as the rest of the vehicles that have been recalled.

The power steering went out on my 2007 Pontiac G6. The vehicle was traveling at low speeds. It went out repeatedly. The power steering went out when turning the wheel more than approximately 15 degrees. The steering wheel tightened before going out and was followed by a vehicle alert that the power steering was lost. Power steering was recovered when turning off the car and turning it back on. However, steering continued to go out. It has since been intermittent and does not go out once exceeding approx 15-20 miles per hour.

Steering makes a vibrating noise, instruments gauge says powering steering, the steering wheel goes left to right and right to left by itself while driving. The driver has little control while this is happening. Recall for steering for these cars announced 2/4/15 but my VIN no was not included but I am experiencing these same issues. Please advise how I can be included in the recall. My car's steering is defective. Please be responsible for reducing deaths and injuries due to motor vehicle crashes. The steering makes a clunkin noise. It turns back and fourth by itself when driving and while parked.some times when I start the car the radio says power steering when I start the car.when these problems happen I turn the car off open door so the radio goes off than start it and than it works fine until it sits turned off for a little while.sometimes I'll have to turn car off and on about five times before it works.I have read that Pontiac G6 S from 2006 through 2007 have a steering recall for the steering torque sensor but I gave GM my VIN and they said my car doesn't have that recall.so I took my car to the dealership to have the other recalls taken care of and to check my steering and they said it is the torque sensor.why is it the same sensor as the other G6S with the same problems they have recalls and mine is not under recall.it cost me 600$.I must pay because it's very dangerous to drive.

Was driving down the 101 hwy in California just South of arroyo grande and felt steering get a little stiff when going around a slow semi. Slowed to under 30mph to turn off hwy to job site and it was like trying to steer a wheelbarrow with 600lbs of dirt on it. Get the picture" if it was my wife she might have crashed. I became aware of the recall just 3 weeks after and recently found out my assembly date isn't included. It was assembled 12/06 according to door jam sticker. What's up with that"

While driving on the highway the power steering indicator came on and sounded and the power steering on my 2007 Pontiac G6 stopped working and it was difficult to steer the vehicle. I was able to reset it by restarting the vehicle but it will continue to lose the power steering. My steering wheel shakes even when I am at a complete stop. I have spent too much money getting parts replaced and the issue continues. I don't understand why GM does not have a recall on this car for this problem. This is extremely dangerous for the power steering to stop working in the middle of driving.

While driving on the highway my electronic power steering service alarm went off and the eps message showed up on my clock panel. Right after, my eps suddenly turned off and stopped working. Steering my wheel is extremely hard to do. I'm lucky it didn't cause an accident, but because of its sudden malfunction, it very well could have. I don't even feel safe in my Pontiac G6 anymore.
