Notice received March 2019 regarding takata airbag (passenger) recall. Contacted Mercedes-Benz for replacement information. Was told that replacements were on order but not received. Contacted manufacturer several times during 2019, same information provided. Submitted complaint to NHTSA 21 January 2020 which provoked a contact from manufacturer stating that replacement airbags would be available in October 2020. Contacted manufacturer today, 7 October 2020 for update: No information, still waiting on replacements. As the passenger airbag has been deemed defective and as I live in the environment determined to have an accelerated degradation of the airbag deployment components, I am very concerned about the lack of movement by Mercedes-Benz on a known safety issue; to mitigate the injury/death risk, I deliberately limit the vehicle's use. Need action by Mercedes-Benz asap.

I recently purchased my 2015 Glk350. When I purchased it there was an open recall for the passenger side airbag. I contacted the local Mercedes dealer to have the airbag replaced and they say there is no solution for the issue. So I am driving around with the airbag turned off(by the dealer) and the dealer can't tell me when or if this will be replaced.

This recall happened in January 2019, they mailed the letter in February 2019. It's over a year, and we haven't been driving the car very much because it hasn'''''''t been repaired. Since it's unsafe for a passenger, and they say the part is not available, they should refund us a portion of our purchase price.

Received notification of takata air bag recall in February 2019. Unable to get replacement from dealer. I will have to wait until May 2020 to replace the airbag. We are senior citizens and feel that having to wait over a year and a quarter to make our car safe is unreasonable.
