Takata recall. Recall notice issued in Feb. 2018. Have called repeatedly and told parts are not available. Called takata hotline 1-877-496-3691 today and was told estimate is for delivery March 2019. Was also told there has never been a problem with these airbags in a Mercedes. Waiting over one year to correct this probem cannot be construed as "reasonable" under anybody's interpretation.

Takata airbag: I received my recall notice (dated simply " February 2018") from Mercedes first week of March 2018. Since then I have repeatedly contacted Mercedes corporate, both here and in germany, and keep getting the run-around. They are telling me that I "may" get my airbag replaced in March 2019. This is unacceptable. I reside in very hot & humid South Florida and my vehicle is over 5 years old. It is my understanding that NHTSA instructed the manufacturers to make older vehicles and those in hot & humid areas a priority. Well, they are not doing so as I have several friends that have far newer models and that live in cooler regions and their airbags have already been replaced. I am paying a monthly payment for a vehicle that is currently parked as I am afraid to drive it. They also refused to provide me a loaner vehicle. If I can't get this resolved I will be forced to file a private lawsuit as they are clearly not following NHTSA guidelines in regard to this recall. Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Takata recall, they still have not replaced the part. When I bought the car they said there was no recalls on it. Then I get letter in the mail it has a recall for tye air bags. If I had known at the time when buying the vehicle when I asked was there any recalls, I would not have bought the vehicle. It's not safe knowing theres a recall for the airbag and they have not replaced it.

Takata recall: I received a safety recall notice in February 2018 from Mercedes Benz. I contacted Mercedes Benz several times after receiving the notice and was told the parts would be available at the end of June 2018. On July 5th I contacted Mercedes Benz once again and was told my vehicle will not get repaired until March 2019. Additionally, I spoke with a NHTSA rep on July 5th as well, and was told the government gave the company until Sept 2018 to have the parts available for my vehicle. Mercedes Benz is unable to remedy the situation within a reasonable amount of time. I need the assistance of the U.S. government to resolve this situation. Thank you.
