Takata recall both front airbags in this car have been recalled and it appears to me that Mercedes-Benz is not seriously interested in fixing the problem. I have heard nothing from them about the driver airbag recall in 18 months even though they promise to fix it by September 2018. I often drive to Florida staying there for a week or so. I am concerned about the safety of the vehicle because of the humid environment there. I would the recall work to be completed soon. I have attached copy of the 4 letters received from Mercedes-Benz. Thank you.
