Takata recall, I recieved recall notice on the air bags in my Mercedes Benz during the first quarter of 2016. Parts were not available. It is now a year and a half later and still on parts are available. I have limited my driving of this car, currently less than 16,000 miles on the car. Now that they have filed chapter 11 bankruptcy I am worried it will never get replaced and the car will be significantly devalued.

Takata recall - recalls were issued for the driver's and passenger's airbags in Feb 2016 and May 2016, respectively. To date, no solution has been offered, therefore, I am still driving with defective airbags and am vulnerable to suffering the harm and/or loss.

Takata recall: The fact that there hasn't been a remedy to this issue is terrible. I watched the video of what will happen if this airbag is deployed. I'm supposed to be ok with this while driving my vehicle everyday knowing that if there is any collison of any sort myself and my children and grandchildren are at risk of injury or death not from the collison but from the safety device that is supposed to protect us.

Takata recall - active recalls were issued in 2/2016 and 5/2016 but I've yet to receive a replacement airbag in a timely manner. The recall status states, "remedy not yet available." I recently received a notice from tk holdings, Inc. That takata has filed chapter 11 bankruptcy. I'm concerned for my safety wondering when or if this issue will be resolved for owners in danger.

"takata recall" I received a letter from Mercedes dated August 2016 regarding this recall. Since then I have contacted the fort myers dealership requesting free replacement. Each time including today I was told they do not have the parts or the instructions from corporate to replace the air bags. Today I received a post card regarding tk holdings filing chapter 11. Last year my daughter was involved in an accident causing 19K of damage and the air bag did not go off. I do not know if that is a good thing or a bad thing. She was traveling East when I stationary truck pulled into her lane causing passenger front end damage.

My airbag warning light keeps coming on. My complaint involves 2 recall notices I received on the Mercedes Benz 300C class which has defective takata air bags on the passenger and the driver's sides that could potentially kill. Mercedes usa said it will not have airbags to replace in my car until late 2018 from NHTSA. Mercedes Benz's response is that no one has yet died in one of its vehicles due to takata airbags. Mercedes has directed victims of these defective airbags to the NHTSA national highway and says the bags will not be available to replace until late 2018 when NHTSA releases them. I've already waited and risked my life for more than a year, actually 4 years. Mercedes could care less. My request is that Mercedes return this car for the simple fact this car is a 2011. It was widely reported in the wall street journal and other news outlets that Honda and takata found out the bags were deadly and defective as far back at least as 2001, however, kept it under wraps. Mercedes knew when it made the decision to purchase these air bags and install them into later model vehicles, probably at drastic discounts, that the defective bags were no good and worse potentially deadly. Already people had died from these airbags. I don't want to be the first one to die in a Mercedes due to these airbags. I just heard back from the national transportation safety board, who said that Mercedes is misinforming consumers. It does not have airbags that will be released in 2018. I can send you the letter from Mercedes declining to take the car back and from ntsb referring me to you. I want my money back. It's the biggest fleece of american consumers I have ever seen. All I have is a letter from Mercedes declining to take its car back, a picture of the warning airbag light that comes on the dash board and a letter from ntsb. I can mail these to you if you need them.

Takata recall- its been more than 1 year since the recall and the Mercedes Benz dealership is still not able to replace the front and passenger airbags. I drive this car daily... I don't think the consumer should risk their life if there is a faulty airbag. There should be some other type of arrangements to replace these fault airbags by now?! the recall notices are: 16V081 & 16V363

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2011 Mercedes-Benz C300. While driving 20 mph, the air bag warning indicator illuminated and the "check air bags" message appeared. The vehicle stalled and lost power. The vehicle was unable to restart. The vehicle was towed back to the contact's residence. The local dealer (park place motorcars Mercedes-Benz dallas, 6113 lemmon ave, dallas, tx 75209, 214-526-8701) informed the contact that he could not schedule an appointment because they did not handle air bag repairs. The contact was informed that parts were unavailable and that he would receive a letter from the manufacturer when parts arrived for the two open NHTSA campaign numbers: 16V081000 (air bags) and 16V363000 (air bags). The contact stated that they exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair and received the recall notification in April of 2016. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 104,000.

Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). Mercedes notified me in writing that our front driver and passenger airbags were defective over a year ago in June, 2016. I think it is scandalous that Mercedes has not repaired this defect in over 15 months. What can I do to force Mercedes to fulfill their obligations surrounding this recall? [xxx]
