I have a 2014 Kia Sorento the paint is pealing on the passenger side door close to windshield I saw where this has been a problem it needs repainting before it gets any worse which evertime I wash it now it gets bigger please check on this and see if there is anyway Kia can fix my car it only has 61,345 miles on it and this should not be happening I just bought it 3 months ago with no paint problems
My 2014 KIA Sorento has paint peeling off in sheets. It started in 2017 when the car was only 4 years old. The dealership admitted that they knew it was a defect in the paint but refused to fix it because it was past the warranty date. I've heard that many other KIA owners are having the same issue, particularly with the Pearl White paint. I believe KIA should issue a recall and fix this known defect.
The oil in my car is disappearing biweekly. I have to fill my car up with oil almost every two week or it will make a horrible grinding noise in the engine. The oil isn-??t leaking any where and I don-??t think it-??s burning because I don-??t smell it when the car is running. I took it to my dealership where I get my oil changed they said they don-??t know what the problem is and if I wanted it to be checked they were gonna charge me $700+ just to look and see why it-??s disappearing. They then proceeded to tell me to let all of the oil drain and run the car until it dies and then put oil in it before it gets towed. This is a huge safety hazard because I have done some research and people who unknowingly had the same problem, had their engine catch on fire or their car would seize on them. I travel a lot and that would be a major hazard for people around me if my car were to catch fire or seize on the highway. There are no warning labels that will pop up to notify me my oil is low the grinding noise I hear in my engine is the only thing that lets me know I need to fill my car back up with oil. The oil disappearing started in October 2021 I have gone to two different mechanics and they told me they don-??t know what is wrong unless they take apart the whole engine. I feel with as many people as I have read online about having the same issue there should be a way to know what is wrong without having to take apart the whole engine. I would opt to get a new car, but I am a college student and am currently paying on student loans so a new car is not an option right now for me.
We have a 2014 Kia Sorento SLX Pearl white and the paint first started coming off in the front on the hood and bumper cover which we had repaired for a ridiculous amount of money. The body shop said it would be cheaper to just order a new bumper cover and paint it instead of stripping away all the paint on the old one and then painting due to the amount of labor hours required to do so. I have the bill. Then It started coming off around the door/pillar area on the driver side which we then paid again to have repaired. Now as of this week a large piece of pain has just peaked away around the size of a dollar bill on the passenger side pillar above where the door closes into. This is ridiculous that for no reason the paint is just coming off in large sections without any manipulation at all. If it's not fixed( whole vehicle being painted) the paint is just going to keep coming off until their is nothing but bare metal. I should not have to keep having all these place repaired and matched up each time more comes off. Kia should be responsible for getting this repaired.

1) After a period of approximately a month following an oil change I am losing oil. I constantly am having to replace / add oil. About a quart every 3000 to 3500 miles. I have been unable to detect any leaks nor do I think the head gasket is blown - no smoke in other words. Yes there is a oil low warning light that illuminates. and the other major issue is... 2) I have paint peeling off my car a 2014 Kia Sorento pearl white in color. It is peeling off the window angles on the front doors. I believe firemen refer to these as the A-posts. It is also peeling across the front top where the front windshield meets with the top of the cabin. It is also peeling across the front hood where the hood meets the grill. I have approximately 109k miles on the car at this writing.
The white paint on my car started with a tiny chip within the last year for no reason (there wasn-??t a scratch or dent) and has turned into a large area above my windshield that is rusting. Repair and repainting will require removal of the windshield and thousands of dollars.
There is a latent defect in the paint from the manufacturer. It is available for inspection upon request. I first started noticing the paint falling off from the vehicle somewhere between 01/2019 and 04/2019. It has spread across considerable parts of the hood and is also starting to fall off in multiple other areas including the roof.
I have taken my truck for repair for shacking/rattling when put truck on drive its more louder all they say they didnt find any issue what else can i do if they don't want to fix my truck.
I have a 2014 white/pearl Kia Sorento and the paint is peeling off. I took it to a shop and was told that it is delamination and that's why the paint is peeling off. It started off looking like a rock chip but it is steadily peeling off.
Paint peeling left and right sides of front windshield. Front of car.peeling in spots where rocks have hit and left back passenger side large piece paint peeling Started with a very small spec. Continuing to peel
Paint Delamination. Based on my research, a lot of Kia Sorento White Pearl color owners are experiencing paint delamination in a specific location on both sides of the front glass, we are no exception.
Feb 27, 2022 is when it was observed by this writer. Now questioning what was stated when the SUV was purchased as a CPO in regards to paint. The paint on the car is delaminating. I piece came off and got stuck on the diver side window. Concerned that a piece could come off the SUV and get stuck on the windshield obstructing the drivers visibility.
I was informed to report the incidence of paint chipping on this form, although it is not a safety risk. From the images I upload you can see 2 years ago (4/23/2020)there were a couple of small areas of paint chipping where the windshield meets the roof of the car. These areas to my knowledge had no previous damage to them. There are/were a couple areas where there were minor dents (not pictured) which over the years began to peel as well. However just in the last few months (mainly over the winter) those small areas and new areas of peeling have started and grown at an enormously fast rate. I'm afraid to bring my car to a car wash now as it may chip more paint away. When doing research about this model and year trying to find out how to fix this problem I found a forum called Kia-forums.com as well as a facebook group all about the snow white pearl peeling and chipping delimitation problem. While not a safety risk, this is a risk of rust becoming a problem and something I'm very concerned about not only because I plan to keep this car for a long while but if I decided to sell it or trade it in my car is now going to sell for less. As an 8 year old car I understand wear and tear is natural but this is not a natural occurrence and I hope Kia will find a way to recall these cars and fix the paint delamination problem.
104K miles and motor seized up. Engine oil is fine, all fluids and proper maintenance done. Motor begins ticking as soon as the car is put in drive. Per mechanic the motor is getting ready to blow. I expected more from this vehicle as it has been very properly maintained. No fluids leaked, just lost power and started the moaning and clicking noise.
