The white paint on my Kia Sorento is chipping. There was nothing that hit my vehicle, it just started chipping all across right above the front windshield. It looks very unsightly and this is a relatively new vehicle.

My Kia Sorento has delamination.the car paint started to peel away 2 1/2 years after purchase. I started to complain to the dealership after the warranty expired since it started to get real bad but received no assistance. At one point they took pictures but that was it. I now have almost 192,000 miles and they tell me my warranty has expired. I told them that I did contact them many times previously and the have a file on it but the dealer tells me to contact the manufacturer.

The paint is peeling in large pieces from the hood and doors. It happened both times just driving down the road. There are several spots on the vehicle that are bubbling and will eventually peel as well.

I own a Kia Sorento, pearl white, 2014, which just recently started to chip and now peel the paint on the side of the windshield. Its getting worse and worse every time the vehicle is moving. I went to the dealership but they only told me warranty is up, nothing we can do. The vehicle has approx. 85000 miles on it right now. I also have a little spot chipped on the hood of the car. I happen to catch 2 pieces of paint in my yard. Its not just little pieces that come off, its really like snake skin peeling in bigger pieces and its getting really bad.

Three years ago when our Kia was at about 60,000 miles the paint which is pearl white, around the windshield starting peeling off and since then has peeled off in multiple areas exposing the bare metal leading to rust. The forming around the windshield is causing the windshield to weaken. I have seen many other Kia with the same issue of paint peeling around the windshield and am afraid that the paint used for pearl white Kia was defective.

I began noticing paint chips in 2019 on a 5 year old vehicle. These spots have become larger and larger in various locations on the car primarily the hood, a frame, and roof. I have also noticed this same issue with other Kia Sorento's that are also pearl white. There seems to be a defect in the paint. I know that alone may not be a huge issue but what if it contributes to another issue" there are already several serious recalls. If there is a defect in the paint, what happens if it gets too hot or something"

On Thursday October 15, 2020 I was getting in my car and saw something on it. I thought it was a leaf and realized the paint was peeling off. I touched it and the paint kept peeling. Upon doing research I saw where this problem was happening in Kia cars 2014 and others that were the pearly white color. It looks terrible and according to other car owners of the Kia pearly white it is going to get worse. It was not due to weather like hail or any particular issue. I called Kia local dealers and they had heard of it but said they couldn't do anything so then I called corporate and was rudely talked to stating they knew their was a problem but it was over 36K. I am disabled and don't drive much. This car only has 46,339 miles on it. I am wanting the entire car repainted because what I see on the complaints it is going to get worse.

Pearl white paint on my 2014 Kia sorrento is declaminating or rapidly peeling off in several places. The paint has chipped off in a large portion of the hood. It is not a normal paint chipping but rather a large piece/section just came flying off during driving time, approxiamtely 50 miles per hour.

Pearl pain is peeling and chipping. Went thru car wash and it chipped hood car wash paid for it to be repaired. Then on 9/15/20 it was raining and the rain chipped the paint on the door frame. Nothing hit it or damaged it I was driving but the rain peeled my paint. That's when I decided to do some research because there is no reason why my paint should chip like that and found out that the paint is faulty. I also discover there was a recall due to faulty break lines and leaks and I believe I may have a break leak because everytime its time for an oil change the break light comes on and once they put fluid in it it goes off. My upkeep has been immaculate since owning this car and all of these issues I believe are due to factory defect.
