I have a 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4X3, it has been the same since March 28, 2023 at the alberic chrisler dealer in san juan puerto rico. It has problems with charging and it doesn't want to charge. They changed a module and it doesn't charge. As the 23V787000 campaign has not been notified to puerto rico, the dealer has not taken any action. I understand that they could delive it to me and an accident could occur.

My husband was going 65mph on the highway in e-save mode with ~1% battery and 3/4 tank of gas. The -??service charge system-?? error popped up with other red errors on the sides and the uconnect also posted an error. He described the incident as it felt like the transmission was failing. He coasted off the highway, thankfully safely, and put it in park. Then it died. He powered it back on and tried to put it back in e-save and it said e-save not available. He started driving again as he was making the journey to pick up our son from camp. An hour later, while back on the 3 lane highway, he experienced the exact same thing, this time having to pull off to the side of the interstate. At this point, he was not comfortable continuing the drive in this unreliable and unsafe car, and had it towed. Furthermore, we didn-??t feel safe putting our kids in the back of a car that stops on you at high speeds. Fast forward to the next day, the dealer called and they told me nothing was wrong with the vehicle. I immediately called Jeep cares. 3 business days later, Jeep Cares called back and said they are not willing to buy back our vehicle but will have it towed 190 miles to a dealer that is closer to our house. This shows me that they are 100% aware of this issue but don-??t want to lose their shirt on this car. I refuse to drive it now, especially with my kids. Hoping the dealership next to us is actually able to recreate the issue and figure out next steps.

On three separate occasions, the vehicle I own has suffered from a complete loss of power during operation. The initial incident (09/02/2023) occurred shortly after merging onto the westbound lane of Highway 71. Without warning, the vehicle ceased to function, coming to an immediate and forceful stop that nearly resulted in a collision with other vehicles traveling at approximately 60 MPH. The vehicle was rendered immobile, with the wheels locked as if in gear, necessitating its removal via a flatbed tow truck. The dealership was unable to restore the vehicle-??s functionality and ultimately replaced the Electronic Control Module (ECM). The second incident (03/08/24) involved a similar sudden loss of power while traveling on Highway 1. This failure resulted in a total loss of power, including both power-assisted brakes and steering, eliminating my ability to signal to other drivers as the vehicle drifted. I was forced to maneuver across three lanes of traffic to reach the safety of the roadside. After several attempts, the vehicle eventually restarted. The most recent occurrence (05/13/2024) mirrored the previous incidents, with the vehicle losing all power and leaving me stranded on the side of Highway 71. Given these repeated and unpredictable malfunctions, which pose a severe risk to safety and severely hinder the normal operation of the vehicle, I am no longer willing to allow my son to drive this vehicle. I firmly believe these issues constitute a significant and life-threatening safety hazard.

While driving the vehicle it will suddenly shut down the engine. Then the letter "D" starts to blink on the gear shift lever. I am able to restart the car by turning it off, waiting for 5 minutest and then restart the car. I turned in the car 3 weeks ago and they still do not know what the problem is.

Driving down a street when the Jeep shut down all propulsion systems and sent an error code that the charging system would not work. We moved safely to the side of the road, restarted the Jeep, and drove home with no error lights. The next day, the Jeep threw error codes again upon startup. We took to the dealer who is analyzing.

Brand new jeep has been at the dealership for 11weeks to have electrical issues and radio issues fixed. As of today, it still has not been fixed but the dealership wants to release it back to me until a special group of engineers/IT come up with a remedy. The vehicle has never ran properly.

While driving on the freeway, the car showed a message saying -??performance issue-?? and lost power. I couldn-??t accelerate and the car stopped. I couldn-??t power on or down the car. It looked like an alternator issue and it wasn-??t giving enough power to the battery. AAA arrived hour and half later. Tried to jump but it didn-??t do anything. Finally had to tow the car to the nearest dealership. The car is not even a year old and has less than 10k miles. Its a safety issue being stuck like that without any warning signs at middle of the freeway!

Vehicle continues to shut down while driving. Has happened over 10 times and have brought it in several times. Shuts down while driving at hiway speed. Have to get it stopped and then all the electrical goes haywire flashing. Eventually shutdown the truck and wait and restart. After 15 min or so able to get it to power up and drive again. Will do it again and again. Very dangerous. After about an hour the engine lights and everything goes away as if nothing happened. I also have video of the dashboard from one of the times it did it.

This is the second time this jeep stalls out on us. This most recent time we were traveling on the freeway going about 70mph when all the sudden the jeep-??s motor shuts off and is unresponsive. We are literally coasting in the middle of nowhere hoping the vehicle has enough momentum to get out of the way. Something was blinking on the dash but i couldnt pay attention to that as I was trying to pull over safely. Jeep did not start back up until 2 hours of of waiting on freeway. There are a ton of recalls for this vehicle and as it sits right now the plug in for EV port is not working at all. It makes a ton a strange noises. And to top it off this is a rental car that shouldnt be on the streets earning revenue. This jeep needs to be appropriately recalled before someone gets injured.

Lost total power in the fast lane on the freeway! Lots of flashing indicators: "Service Charging System", "Brake and Push Button to Start", Transmission Gear "D" flashing with the gear it was in "D and little 8", telling me to put it in Park while I was driving on the freeway trying to get over to the side...how is that even possible?, further it was coming to a stop quickly like a heavy regenerative braking was one making it even more dangerous as we would about to come to a total stop on the freeway! (I read someone in a Tesla died this way). This was dangerous for us and the cars around us. I have read they have a recall for this very issues in Dec 2022, but MY CAR IS NOT INCLUDED in the recall so there is a much bigger issue going on! All my recalls are up to date per the dealership. So need NHTSA to step in/up! I attached pictures of what was on the dash after we got over the side of the freeway (was not able to record while it occur for safety reasons, of course).

I was driving down a side street when I received several warning lights for service shifter, airbags, seatbelts as well as the engine and all gauges cutting in and out. Following that my power steering went out and I could barely steer the vehicle. I had to call roadside assistance to tow the vehicle. The following fault codes wers pulled via obdii: U0001, U0151, U0155, U017E, U0418, U1442. Each code related to a malfunction with "CAN BUS C" or what the dealership referred to as a "star connector". After further research it is apparent that this part has continued to fail on many jeep wranglers dating back to 2018 and every report I have seen the person has stated the same issue of losing power steering. My jeep is a 2023 and now needs this part replaced. Why hasn't there been a recall on these vehicles for this faulty part" Why does chrysler continue to use these faulty parts on current vehicles when they know of their failure rate" This is a serious safety issue and should have been addressed years ago. Something must be done before someone gets hurt or killed.

The contact's daughter owned a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Hybrid. The contact stated while his daughter was driving 30 MPH, the vehicle ahead of hers stopped unexpectedly. The contact stated that the daughter slammed on the brakes and swerved to the right; however, the driver's side front end of the vehicle hit the passenger's side rear end of the other vehicle and damaged its taillight. The air bags did not deploy. The contact stated that it was a fender-bender. The contact's daughter then noticed smoke coming from underneath the hood of the vehicle. The contact's daughter immediately exited the vehicle and contacted emergency services. The vehicle caught on fire and burned significantly. The fire was extinguished by the fire department. The contact was unsure whether a fire department report was filed. A police report was filed. The contact's daughter did not sustain any injury. The vehicle was towed to a tow lot, where it was totaled. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 2,077.

4XE electric mode, while driving on the freeway, the vehicle said Electric Mode Temporarily Not available. The car loss power as I was going 70 MPH and it loss power and slowed to 8mph. The diesel traveling behind us slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting us and he tailspinned and caused a huge accident, all cars behind him had to come to a halt. I had my 2 year old granddaughter in her carseat in the back and my 70 year old mother in the front, we could have been killed. I have over 30 videos of this occurring and the vehicle only has less than 300 miles on it. The two local dealerships said they could not "duplicate" the problem and one told me not to drive in electric mode so, well would would be the purpose of me purchasing a hybrid if I can't use that function. The other dealership told me if I find out the problem to let him know for his future customers. There were no warning lights besides the Electric Mode not available flashing on the dash. Chrysler Auto Finance, the dealership where I purchased from, everyone giving me the run around and no one will help me.

Brand new 2023 wrangler with 600 miles on it that I-??ve had for 4 days and the engine completely cut off on the busy highway with my whole family in the car. Message appeared on the screen stating -??performance limited, service charging system-??. On June 17 I was driving on the highway in Tupelo, MS with my sister and three children. I was going about 80 mph when the entire engine shut down spontaneously. The dash lights said plug into a power outlet. I was driving in hybrid mode with a half tank of gas. I briefly lost control of the car because it was such a powerful jolt when it shut down. I was able to pull over to shoulder of the highway, completely terrified and shifted the jeep into park. The warning lights were telling me to put in park and press the start button. I followed the instructions and the jeep engine started and the warning lights turned off. I have contacted Chrysler to file a complaint as well as the dealership. I am afraid the drive my vehicle on the highway for fear of having a major accident
