I am writing to express my serious concern regarding the unresolved safety recall 95B affecting my Jeep Wrangler. As a parent, my children-??s safety is my utmost priority, and knowing that the battery-?"a component at risk due to this recall-?"is positioned directly under their seats has made me extremely uneasy. I no longer feel confident or safe driving this vehicle with them inside. Despite the recall, I have been informed there is currently no remedy available. This lack of a solution leaves me without a secure vehicle and heightens my concerns over the risks associated with continuing to drive it. Additionally, my request for a buyback has been denied, which is disheartening given the absence of an available remedy and the potential safety hazards involved. I am seeking immediate assistance and a resolution that prioritizes the safety of my family.

B9A recall (NHTSA 23V-787). Remedy: " Park the vehicle outside. Please note my house is in Colorado [XXX] on the edge of a National Forest with 100,000 acres of National Forest. What happens if the forest catches on fire. This should be a NO DRIVE Recall. I am FURIOUS. I have tried to get JEEP customer care and they don't answer the phone....I have called your help line...and do not get a call back. This is simply not okay. Recall- 95B - Hight Voltage Battery, there is no fix for the problem at the present time. Now the vehicle can no longer be charges and must run on gasoline. The vehicle was purchased with the intention of using the battery to go to and from work on a single charge. The vehicle can no longer be charged or parked in our garage due to potential fire risk.

[XXX] [XXX] [XXX] [XXX] Oct 21 2014 National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) 1200 New Jersey Avenue, SE West Building Washington, DC 20590 Subject: Urgent Safety Concern and Financial Loss Related to 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe -?" VIN: [XXX] ] Dear NHTSA, I am writing to formally report a significant safety concern and financial hardship I have experienced as a result of owning a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sahara 4xe, VIN: [XXX] ]. On [XXX], while the vehicle was charging at [XXX], it caught fire. The vehicle had no pending services or recalls at the time of the incident. To my further dismay, in October 2024, Jeep issued a global recall for this model, citing battery issues. This only confirms my suspicion that the fire in my vehicle was the result of a manufacturing defect. Given the timing of the recall, I believe my incident is directly related to this defect, and the issue raises significant safety concerns. The total cost of my vehicle was approximately $78,454, and I have only driven it for about 15,000 miles. After filing an insurance claim, I was offered $45,215, which does not adequately cover the financial loss I have incurred. This leaves me at a significant financial deficit. Additionally, I have been renting a car for the last six weeks due to this incident, which has further cost me approximately $36,000. I have contacted Jeep-??s customer support and created a case (number: [XXX]), but despite my efforts, I have yet to receive any meaningful response or resolution from Jeep. This situation has caused not only significant financial strain but also immense mental stress. I urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue thoroughly and ensure that Jeep takes responsibility for their defective vehicles. I am seeking compensation that appropriately reflects the financial losses I have suffered, ideally in the form of either a replacement INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

My vehicle was impacted by NHTSA Recall 24V-720. FCA has done nothing to fix the problem and has no forecast for the parts or repairs. Meanwhile, I cannot charge my $60K vehicle, or park it at my house. I have been trying to reach FCA for 3 days now and nobody answers their phone calls either. This is the worst customer service on a safety issue that I have ever seen. I know most Jeep owners are just continuing to drive and charge their Jeeps because otherwise, you have no vehicle.

The High Voltage battery pack in my vehicle may have been built with cells that are susceptible to separator damage. Separator damage, combined with other complex interactions within the cells, may lead to a vehicle fire. A vehicle fire can result in increased risk of occupant injury and/or injury to persons outside the vehicle, as well as property damage. Vehicle risk is reduced when the battery charge level is depleted. Accordingly, owners are advised to refrain from recharging. Out of an abundance of caution, FCA US is also advising owners of these vehicles to park away from structures or other vehicles until the remedy is obtained. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. There is an open recall on the defect, however there is no remedy currently available. Due to the severity of the defect and the inability to use the vehicle as intended, including safely parking the vehicle or recharge the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, I believe the terms of my lease agreement have been breached by Chrysler and I wish to return the vehicle and terminate the lease without penalty.

UNKNOWN. Jeep-??s dashboard and the indicator by shift (Park) illuminates randomly while parked and drains the battery. After the latest event battery voltage tested to 4.4V. Jeep won-??t even make a click sound when trying to start. This happened first week of new car delivery and three more times within past eight months. I spoke to the sales agent after first event and he said it will be noted. Second time dealer service replaces both main and auxiliary battery. A month later dealer service just recharged both batteries for the same issue. Now the jeep is having same issue and taken to the dealership for service. Engine light also came on after the latest event. The jeep is still at the service center for last 13 days. They informed me that both batteries are replaced and the error codes for engine light are P1AE2 and P1E75. I-??m not aware of any other attempts to find the cause of the issue.

On July 15th, July 30th and August 11th 2024 the gas pedal on my less than 2 month old Jeep Wrangler 4xE did respond / engage while driving and pressing on the pedal. It felt like the car was dying. This happened at three different speeds, 65mph on the highway, 30mph on a side road and around 40mph on a state road. In addition to the gas pedal not working/ vehicle not moving forward the vehicle also seemed to slow it self down, like i was breaking however i was not and as the vehicle slowed down it was shaking vigorously all 3 times. This is incredibly dangerous and unsafe. I contacted over 20 jeep dealerships and jeep corporate before I was able to get an appointment - this vehicle was looked at by a dealership and I have been told they 'have no codes' and 'everything is fine' In addition to the loss of power, gas failure, non responsive gas pedal I have counted over 10 incidences where this vehicle has a delay in acceleration of 3 - 8 seconds before lurching and jerking forward at various speeds, some of the times vehicle has also shaked other times the jerking is so severe if feels like you've been rear ended. Jeep is not taking these concerns seriously, I am reporting in hopes that you will and maybe others have reported similar issues and we can get some answers and repairs figured out as this car is unsafe and I do not want me or my children to be a statistic of a horrible accident that should have been a recall / fix issued by jeep.

Purchased 8/5/2024. Driving 45mph on 8/9/2024 -all warning lights began going on and off then Jeep just stopped leaving the D flashing and the message to press brake and push to start. Took a few moments to get it into Park. Restarted and took to dealer. They charged all batteries and returned 4 days later. 2 days later, Next incident, 25 mph shut down, almost hit from behind and had to deal with irate driver. Resumed after getting into park and switched to gas mode to drive to dealership. Picked up 6 days later and told no codes so no problem. 3 more incidents, remains at dealership service since 8/26/24.

While driving in all electric mode, car abruptly lost power and would not accelerate. After power loss, car lunged forward abruptly without noticeable cause. I worried I had been hit from behind and quickly checked the rearview mirror, but nothing had impacted the back of my Jeep. -??D-?? symbol for -??drive-?? on the shifter was flashing. Not sure what was happening on the instrument panel. I hurried and shut off the ignition and then restarted it and the vehicle started up again without issue. Jeep is currently at the dealer for inspection. There were no prior indications or warning lights on in the vehicle when this occurred. It could have been much more dangerous should I have been moving at a faster speed on the highway. I was fortunately moving in thick morning traffic and not on a highway when the loss of power occurred.

This has now happened multiple times. The first time this happened, i was driving on the freeway and my car had started flashing lights telling me my electrical charging system was faulty. When this flashed, my "D" (for drive) on my dashboard started blinking and the car lost power. I was in the fast lane with no shoulder and had to pull 5 lanes over, nearly hitting an unquantifiable amount of cars. When the car reached roughly 15-10 miles per hour as I was merging, it put itself into park and would not let me shift back into gear. At this point I was still in the number 2 lane and had cars swerve around me. I tried turning on the car multiple times and finally after the fifth or sixth time, it turned on and drove to the shoulder. The dealership was unable to replicate the issue but had heard of the problem before. They said that they would try to diagnose the issue but they could not. The other times that it had happened, I had a very similar experience. Some situations safer than others. When i took it in again, they were unable to fix it. I've now given up because Jeep is unable to fix the issue.
