With this recall and no repair, I no longer feel safe driving my Jeep and being that the recall notice states not to park near other vehicles or buildings/structures is another safety concern. It lunges upon first driving as well.
"Jeep Death Wobble" - Onset Dec 2022/Jan 2023 Dealership services: - Jan 13 2023 - July 7 2023 - October 26 2023 - December 6 2023 Presented to the dealership with the same wobble for all 4 of these visits to my recollection multiple times a stabilizer bar has been replaced, shocks been replaced, alignment fixed. Issue has again recurred starting January 2, 2024.
On 12/28/2023, my wife was traveling on the highway at normal operating speed when she encountered the front end of our 2022 Jeep Wrangler begin violently shaking. I looked over the jeep to inspecting for any visual cues, but could see none. I thought maybe it was something in the road, so I drove it on the highway, all seemed well until I began to travel over a bridge and I thought the front end of the jeep was going to come apart (literally). I limped the jeep back home and immediately contacted the jeep dealer I bought it from. The dealership said it's a known problem, I was so furious that a product could be sold with a known problem like that. I left it with the dealership to repair and was told there is no grantee this will fix the problem permanently. My wife said she won't drive it any longer for fear that it may happen again. What can I do as a consumer?
The dealership is telling me I need to take the vehicle even though they cannot fix the recall. This is a liability to society and myself. Peoples lives are at risk. There is a fire risk recall pn the HV battery
The vehicle is a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Unlimited 4xe. On August 12, 2023, I was pulling into a parking space in a fairly small parking lot and the vehicle took off. The breaks were applied and the vehicle kept going. It actually hopped one of the vertical concrete barriers. After all said and done, the vehicle entered the building and destroyed this business. Thank God, no one was hurt. It could have been worse. After the vehicle crashed inside the building, it could not move anymore, and was turned off. Police report forthcoming.

Last night while driving home. My rear window blew up. It sounded like a car back fire. Left my ears ringing it was so loud. The glass shattered in a million pieces and the gas struts were hanging out. Nothing hit it, it just blew up.
My new 2022 Jeep Wrangler was shipped with 20 inch Bridgestone Dueller tires. These tires caused severe front end shake and vibration to the point of losing control of my vehicle at approx 60 MPH on several occasions. I brought my Jeep to the Dealer where it was purchased and was told this was a known problem with these tires.Further I was told the ONLY solution was to replace the factory tires with Wrangler KO2-??s or another similar tire with more than 4 ply tires like the Dueller. The dealer said Jeep knows it is a problem but would not pay to solve the problem. These new tires were installed and the problem was resolved and cost nearly $1,700. Jeep blames Bridgestone yet it is a known problem and new Jeeps are still being sold with these tires. Jeep factory wrote it was my problem. I have an email from them telling me these details.
12/03/2022 Was backing up. Went to put the vehicle into DRIVE to move forward. Vehicle locked itself into NEUTRAL on the gearshift, but acted as if it was in PARK. Was blocking a road, could not move or shift into gear. Eventually, was able to shift into "auto-stick" M1 and move the vehicle, then it went into DRIVE. Was able to proceed as normal.
Svc 4wd light went on in the car after start-up, and i tried to reverse from my parking spot with the wheel turned and it felt like the emergency brakes were on. I stopped to check and they were not. i tried to reverse again and the car starts making a grinding noise and jerking motion as it pulls out slowly. When I drive straight I almost can-??t accelerate and the car randomly jerks and stops which could cause an accident if the person behind me doesn-??t brake quick enough. I immediately brought it to the Jeep dealership since this is the second time in a week this has happened but the first time it seemed to resolve itself. The service tech put a device to check the cars computer and I was told the car is no longer driveable and said something is wrong with the transmission and transfer case.they did not have loaners or rentals so now I am careless.
I was driving on the highway at speeds of 75 mph and the car suddenly stopped entirely and began decelerating at a VERY quick speed to almost 30 mph in just a few seconds. Luckily, nobody was behind me, otherwise the speed at which it was slowing down would have caused a collision. The car would not accelerate in the time that it was decelerating and the gas pedal stopped working entirely. There were no warning signs or messages that appeared, and the car said that electric mode was unavailable at this time then began to decelerate. I allowed the car to come to a complete stop and then restarted it with no issue until the exact situation happened again, at highway speeds, for a second time after only around 300 miles since the first incident. Then I realized there was a problem with the car and it was not a one off incident.
Vehicle excessively started leaking fluid from the front end of the vehicle. The car then reported a message on the dashboard "transmission hot", thus explaining the fluid. Transmission fluid was leaking from the pan excessively. Dealership stated there was a recall on the water sealant, however I do not see any recalls on the website. Purchased this Jeep brand new and 2 days later I went to start it in my garage and instrument panel lights all started flashing. It was cycling through all of the error codes with emergency lights flashing and would not start. I let the vehicle sit and after a couple of hours it restarted but the check engine light was on. I test drove the vehicle around the block and it stopped in traffic. Vehicle was towed back to the dealership where it was purchased where it has been since 7/13/2022. Originally I was told it was a shifter and that they replaced it but now I am being told it is the entire wiring harness. The shop manager at the dealership has tried resetting the error codes several times with no resolve and he will not put his stamp of approval that this vehicle is safe to drive. I am not comfortable putting my family in this vehicle.
I just bought this vehicle new less than two weeks ago. The, Service Shifter, message started the day after purchase. I took back to the dealership today. Before getting home "Service Shifter" message happened twice. I am taking it back again tomorrow and they are giving me a rental and are going to look into it more thoroughly. After researching this message I have found that it is very common and has led to vehicles going into neutral while driving.
