While driving car did not give any signs it would stop, steering wheel was locked and so was brakes and gas pedal, car kept saying to put in park and oil pressure low, car came to a complete stop while turning in intersection it did not turn off it just wouldn't move.
Recently, as I was driving, vehicle would stall whenever I would hit my brakes and ask me to shift into park (P), causing me to have to restart my car. Engine would take quite a few seconds to fire/restart before I was able to drive it again. It would also vibrate quite badly and be unable to go any higher than 40mph or 1500rpm until I restarted my car. It would not allow me to accelerate at all until I restarted. This happens every time I drive the car and has been happening for about a week.
Transmission keeps skipping every 30mph increment. Now my car out of nowhere shuts off. It's happened now 3 times in a matter of a week. I will be driving and it doesn't let me accelerate and it asks me to put the car in park and turn it back on. When I try turning it back on it takes 3 times before I can start it back up.
Driving down I-95 at a speed of 65 car begins to slow down even while im accelerating, was able to pull car over and once I got on shoulder I cut car off to see if that would help, car would not turn back on at all. Had to get towed to the dealer which they said it was the fuel pump, they fixed the problem only for the same thing to be happening a month later, the car keep doing hard jerks and not wanting to accelerate. I can be in drive and the car will tell me im in park or just shut off on

Ever since the beginning of November 2019, my Renegade has been stalling when I am in the middle of driving. It started out to be a couple of times but it now does it every time I turn it on and drive. It has stalled on me when I have been in the middle of busy roads and has almost caused accidents. I notice that it will stall if I am turning a corner or if I have just started it up and driving off within the first few minutes. I know there are a lot of complaints by other 2017 Renegade owners but I have the deserthawk edition and I haven't seen anything for my model. I take very good care of it and it is only a couple of years old. The stalling problem that I am having seems to only be getting worse.
Vehicle shuts off at higher speeds. This year, make and engine have been recalled for this problem. My specific vehicle, while having the same shut off problem for the past 2 years, is not part of the recall. It is a dangerous ongoing problem.
Vehicle turned off after stopping at a stop sign and then depressing the gas pedal to begin moving again. Had to shift vehicle to park and attempt to start several times before it started.
According to the dealer I must check my oil every 1K miles to check the oil level. This is about the 3rd time my car has stopped in the middle of traffic. When I call the dealer all they say is did you check your oil. The last time this happened was on sun, Nov 3, 2019. Why are companies allowed to sell products they are fully aware have defects, to turn around and make it the consumers responsibility.
Car loses power while driving. This has happened 5 times withing 48 hours. One incident I was driving 60 mph on highway and the car lost power and I almost got rear ended by a truck. Also oil pressure light came on twice for a second while turning corners and then went off. I had my oil changed and is not over miles. I am not sure if these two issues are linked,
Jeep quits for no apparent reason while driving down the road. No dash lights come to indicate a problem.can't drive the car because scared of getting into an accident. This has happened at least 5 times over the last 2 weeks
Was on a highway doing about 67 mph and I felt a loss of power but still had my foot on the gas pedal. From there the Renegade started puttering and stalling. Had half a tank of gas. Almost felt like it was running out of gas
The vehicle loses power while driving. Slows down as the gas peddle is depressed then abruptly begins to speed back up. The transmission also jerks sometimes while increasing or decreasing speed. While driving on the highway.
Car would not give gas and completely stalled out on me, and cut off!! it would not turn back on for several minutes. I almost got reamed by a large dump truck because this happened in the middle of a back windy road!! also, my car is slipping out of gear from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd! dealership tells me I was almost out of oil"??? how can this be? I get regular oil changes, and funny thing is, they always tell me I'm low!!?? I'm first owner, purchased in November 2017! only have 36,000 miles! now dealership telling me this is "normal" for Renegade" why wasnt I informed before purchasing!!! this is a major sadety hazard! I was almost seriously injured, the dump truck screached to a halt by a matter of inches!!!!
Airbag service is on and don't know what caused it. There has been no damage to my vehicle. The engine is using up a lot of oil in a very short amount of time. 2000 miles after my oil change I discovered that my engine has no oil left in it and my gas is being depleted at a very fast rate
While driving on 8/30/19 my vehicle stalled twice and made a weird electrical sound when trying to start again. Both times I was stopped at a stop sign on the street getting ready to turn
Engine was running and gas pedals was pressed to the floor but the car did not accelerate and the RPM did not increase. Pull to the side of the highway and exit; was able to accelerate at low speeds on city streets only. Problem was intermittent.
Vehicle at first was not turning on then the following day on my way to work it stalled in the highway I was pressing the gas but it just wouldn't accelerate. It was extremely dangerous could have cause an accident. Just on side note I just bought this car from a used car dealership about 2 months ago
The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Renegade. On several occasions, while attempting to start the vehicle, the push to start button was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to start. Additionally, on several occasions and while driving various speeds, a warning indicator illuminated suggested that the gear shift lever be shifted to the park position before shifting into a drive gear. The vehicle was taken to coughlin marysville Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (located at 15777 watkins rd, marysville, oh 43040, (937) 246-5386) where it was diagnosed that the failure may be due to the type of fuel and that the vehicle was two quarts low on engine oil. The dealer also stated that the fuel suction door was misaligned. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failures recurred. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was unknown.
